Florida untouched

We arrived at the gate! After hearing of the wilderness preserve we decided to go ahead and get the permit. You drive about a mile down the road from the main state park entrance to find the wilderness preserve entrance which is code protected. After driving back to the parking area, we realized…

County parks

We love State and County parks. This is our favorite county park it is very clean and close to restaurants grocery stores. It has a nice spring to swim in. Several sites are on the river.

Horrendous

Went with my family for a couple of days. Probably the worst experience we have had camping in sometime. The place is filthy. The bathrooms are horrendousand filthy I don't know who cleans them but they do a poor job. On top of that you've got tons of flies Where the garbage dumpsters are. On top…

Great Stay!!

The staff was super helpful and very eager to make sure we had a great stay! The grounds are simply amazing! While on a zoom call from a picnic bench by the River a participant said “Looks like you guys are in Hawaii or paradise somewhere”.

Nice camping with beautiful trails and swimming spot

Beautiful park campground on waterfront. Great trails, there is a swimming pond. We saw signs on gators, never noticed any though. Well maintained, clean bathrooms and lots of privacy on sites. The only problem is we had our tent flooded and had to sleep in a car as rain was really heavy. Also…

Nice Spot

Spent 2 nights here on our way further south. Hoped to do some biking on the trails, but it was just too hot…summertime in FL, I knew better. Stayed in site 104, thought a pull through would be quick and easy. Site maddeningly un level for our 32 ft class C. Finally just gave up. Also, lots of sun…

Wonderful nature preserve

This place is lovely. We have stayed here many times. The staff is wonderful. I recommend renting a golf cart and exploring the wilderness. If you golf, there is a nice course connected to the park.

Great resort campground

The sites are very spacious! The trees were planted in December 2020, so there’s not much shade at this point. Plenty of things to do. Pizza restaurant, ice cream shop, coffee shop, store for some essentials, salon, spa, pool table, ping pong table, pickle ball, basketball, shuffleboard, tiki bar,…

One of the greats!

This was our first time at Peace river Campground and we absolutely loved it. We are already planning the next visit. Our spot 187 was fantastic. Right up front and next to the food trucks. Everyone in the store was so polite. The trails were pretty great too. Solid 10 from us!

Fisheating Creek

A very beautiful place to see natural Florida. Lots of camping spots for both tents and RV's. They even have a floating cabin. Good facilities, great staff, hiking, biking and swimming. Canoe and kayak rentals or bring your own. There are different paddling trips to choose from. I always enjoy…
