Great RV Time!

Took a Class C to this riverside resort and met friends Van camping. We ended up with a spot on the water where we fished, barbequed, and otherwise hung out. When the weather turned ugly we headed over to the Tiki bar and had wings and beer while we listened to live music. If your looking for an RV spot, check this one out!

Nice for a short visit

The resort is large and nice for walking. The spots here are very close together. There really isn’t great wifi if you have to work. We came to checkout the Mermaid show so it worked for us as a place to park and sleep. Would recommend a spot closer to the club house. The pool is not heated. There is a game room, small library, large activity room and breakfasts on weekends.

It's all about the River

Yep......if not for the river 2 stars. But you get a million dollar river for an affordable price. Waterfront sites and  are so tightly packed your neighbor's slide is sitting at your picnic table.    The sites are less than 18' across but you get boat parking behind your site. Do the math ....if everyone books a waterfront site and brings their 23' boat and parks it behind their 18' site it adds up to a problem. People are generally friendly and willing to work it out but maybe not.

Nice spot on the water

I liked the park over all. They had a lot of fun activities for children and adults. They had a nice parade going on and a church on site . It was easy to book and they had what I was looking for at the last minute. We came on a day just before a holiday and stayed on the homosassa River with a water view. It’s pretty quiet from where we stayed and the locals are friendly. We had the option of rentals for kayaking boating. The landscaping, flowers, pool and kids playground area is very nice. Pet friendly.clean washer and dryer areas and buildings. Has on grounds club house a cute little store and on the water a marina bar type  where you can get drinks and food. What I didn’t care for and the park has no control over this part and I won’t hold it against them is all of the trump signs up for some of the locals that live there. Again, not the parks   fault and this is more of a petty complaint. What is and can be of issue is how small your space will be. We were very cramped into the spot. I didn’t expect this and when talking  with others that stayed on a short trip also complained about the lack of space you will get. We did make it work since we had a vehicle we also pulled behind our big RV class A. What is great that I really liked a lot is how you can have all of your amenities taken care of with the grey and black ports / sewer lines,  full electric and water hook ups. All right there together. Convenient at it’s finest for sure. We didn’t have to stop on the way out to dump out the grey/ black tanks. This is so nice! So as I stated when I started my review I did like the park and all of its beauty it had to offer. I would stay here again, yes definitely!

Friendly and fun

I had a great experience at this resort. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was good and the waterfront sites are excellent.

Bathroom was a little stuffy, but ok.

More of an RV community

Nice bathroom and shower but our spot was unlevel and way in the back like we were outcasts. The prime area is taken by residents.

Packed In

If someone were to read my past reviews of other campgrounds one might think I’d never found one I didn’t like. Until now that would be true. This campground is a full-time and appears long-term residence for many and as a result has very little feeling of getting away from sprawl. Our site A-20 was one of the hardest back-ins I’ve yet experienced and it had everything to do with how close adjacent sites were. It’s a shame because it’s location on a tributary of the Homosassa river is prime but it’s just too many people. The amenities pool, laundry, bathhouse, on-site bar& grill are all nice but not really something we look for when camping. They offer pontoon boats for rental which we did only to discover we wouldn’t be allowed to take it anywhere near the Gulf of Mexico where the best fishing can be found. Boat ran fine but the motor was the only part that wasn’t long overdue for retirement. All in all the whole experience has turned me off to one of my all time favorite parts of Florida. As for the long-term residents, I understand the attraction of a permanent home on wheels and a safe place to park it. What I can’t tolerate is the flying of Confederate flags, Trump No More Bullsh*t flags it’s just impolite and I think would be bad for business. To each his own but we will not go back or recommend it.

Clean & Friendly Campers

We stayed 3days Monday-Thursday(check out). Upon arrival the staff at check didn’t have that welcoming vibe. But all the grounds staff were friendly. The bathroom was very clean. The grounds have beautiful flowers well manicured. Lots of activities for families. It was very quiet. We will be back.

Perfect location

Perfect location on the springs, right next to the famous Homosassa Springs park. The site has its own marina where you can easily rent pontoon boats. We did a manatee tour and they picked us up right at the dock. This was helpful since we didn’t have a car with us. Also, the site has golf carts to rent. Highly recommended!

Great place for kids

Lots to do for kids here. Facebook page for campground tells you what the little bar/ restaurant is serving. We went for pizza night (frozen, but priced right and I didn't have to cook!) The restaurant nearby though... phenomenal (Margherita Grill). Our site was on the main drag in and so quite busy. Sites on the water looked amazing! A local tour guide picked us up right at the marina to go swim with the manatees (Manatee Tours and More with Captain Anna... excellent)

Love the area!

Campground has everything. Tiki bar, breakfast, events, boating, pool, playground, golf carts. They pack them in but it’s nice. Some people live there also and you can rent cabins. We bring the golf cart and usually visit our friends that go there also. Homosassa area is very nice. The Wildlife Park is a must see!

Tight spots

It's a long campground easy to get turned around in. Most of the occupied spaces are filled with full timers. There are activities, a marina, a fenced dog park and a pool. The pull thru sites they direct the short timers to are the smallest sites we've ever used. You cannot stay hitched because your RV will take All of the room. There is a small cement patio and table. I mean really small. The remainder of your spot will be needed for your vehicle. There are flowers and lots of trees and I think a real effort has been made to make the park attractive. I won't return simply because I like to sit out with my dogs not up against our bumper. The Wifi was usable most of the time. The water pressure is very poor.

Mostly long-term RV tenants

Close to town, mostly long term RV tenants live here, very friendly staff, very clean restrooms/showers/campground, restaurant/tiki bar on site, fishing available, shared outdoor cooking area and fire pit, recreation room, pool, parrots, quiet and laid back, more for older folks (no offense)
