Best RV Parks & Resorts near Boca Grande, FL

We had an exceptionally unpleasant experience due to the pet policy being misrepresented. We paid in advance, their policy, for the entire month of February. We had to sign a document stating the payment was not refundable. Before signing, we read through the policies that affected renters, like the pet policy and did not see anything out of line with other RV parks. We set up our exercise pens for the dogs, like we've done at every RV park for the last 30 years. We were informed that exercise pens violated their policy. We had not seen that and asked that it be shown to us. They showed a construction policy that stated owners were not allowed to build a fence on their property. We had not built anything on their property, but they maintained that an exercise pen was a fence and had to be taken down. Our dogs are quiet and love to bask in the warm sun. It felt like a cruel expectation for them to have to stay in our RV 24/7 for a full month. They suggested that we could tie our dogs out on the lawn, but they are escape artists and we could not risk them getting away. We again stated that we were not in any way violating their policy. They were very indifferent. We could not put our pets through being confined to and RV, so we immediately left. They refused to refund our money, offer a stay at another date or even offer any kindness at all. This is truly the worst experience and poorest treatment that we've ever had at an RV resort.

One of the best RV parks I have stayed at so far. It's proximity to the beaches and location on the water makes it a great place to stay. Location has all the amenities you need to make for a fun time

The amazing amenities, combined with the family-friendly and pet-friendly atmosphere, make it the perfect getaway for everyone. The reservations team was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the new management company is doing a fantastic job. We can't wait to experience everything this resort has to offer!

This is a campground for long-term campers. There are many snowbirds who spend winters here. Between a third and half of the sites are permanent campers. There are tons of activities for campers including dances, community dinners, bingo, monthly bluegrass concerts, shuffleboard, pool, cards, horseshoes, bocce ball, a driving range and walking/biking track, and much more. There is a laundromat and shower building and a nice, screened swimming pool. A wonderful place!

FMB is still devastated from the hurricane, but this is my absolute favorite place in the U.S. I have ever stayed. We’ve stay for a couple of months and although there is no long term stay discount, it’s absolutely worth it. It’s private, you get the space to yourself and there’s hardly anyone on the beach. Best part you can just walk straight on down to the beach. The owner is wonderful- friendly with great communication. Yes there is recovery surrounding us, but who cares!!! You get a very private space/beach located in paradise! We can’t wait to come back!!!!

This resort is absolutely beautiful.  Lots of grass and trees all around.  Big sites with plenty of room between other campers.  Wide, paver parking with full hook ups.  Big and clean showers and restrooms.  Nice pool and hot tub.  Some sites even have casitas.  Easy access off highway.  Close to downtown Punta Gorda.

Only possible negative would be you can hear some highway noise when outside and there's an airport nearby.  In the rig, we didn't hear anything, but our air conditioner was running almost the entire time. ;)

Unlike the name would lead you to believe, the Seminole Campground and RV park in North Fort Myers, isn't actually a campground at all -- it's just an RV park.

Located just off of I-75 and Hwy 78 (Bayshore) the location of the park is a short drive (in FL terms) to anywhere in the Ft Myers area. There is a Publix not far away, and a new restaurant called the Boat House near the Civic Center.

The "campground" is convenient to Lee County Civic Center and Echo (a global agricultural non profit learning center). 

RV sits are 55$ a day including hookups. The campground has a pool, bath house, and a community area. 

There are trash receptacles onsite and a recycling bin at each site. Each site also has a picnic table and grill.

There are a lot of RVs at the campground that look like they're there to stay awhile. The campground has more the feel of a mobile home park than it does a campground.

We came back to this gem and met with friends from Florida, we had our RVs next to each other and it was so much fun. We had a great time. Big thanks to the Linger Lodge RV Team, you do an excellent job! Everything is so clean and everybody is so friendly!  We stayed at Linger Lodge RV Park for the first time and will definitely be back! We enjoyed every minute. The place was very clean, we loved the pool. The management was very accommodating and helpful. It was very nice to chat with him, he helped us find our lot and accommodate our trailer. We came late and he checked on us several times to make sure that we had everything we needed. We stayed on a River Site#37. Just be aware you are next to the River, there will be mosquitos at night. The gym is small but clean and has everything we needed. Staff was Amazing and check out the Restaurant!

We stayed at Linger Lodge RV Park for almost 3 month, while we had some renovations done to our house, and we loved the RV Park. It was peaceful and quiet. Very clean and well maintained. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The bathrooms, the laundry, the gym,... were spotless and the pool area was spectacular, like in a fancy hotel resort. My husband enjoyed the pool table in the Clubhouse. And we loved the restaurant on site, great food and a wonderful view. We will definitely be back! What a treasure!

One of the largest state parks in Florida. This great Park has full and partial hook ups for all styles of camping to include hammock camping. There are 6 primitive campgrounds; group camping and Cabins too! We stayed at the Palmetto Ridge campground which were gravel and had the full hook ups. The old prairie and big flats were regular ground surface electric/water (no sewer) . These also had a little less privacy. You will have 39 miles of hiking trails and off road/mountain biking at your pleasure. We bike with hybrid specialized bikes and had no problems off road. We were here in July. Fortunately, there is lots of shade even while hiking due to the canopy trees and this kept things cooler during in the summer. We did not have a problem with biting bugs until nightfall. You will enjoy biking the 7 miles of paved (flat) roads in Park. There are Rivers and lakes for kayaking/canoe and we enjoyed the fishing and paddling. Great gift shop and cafe area near boat launch on lake. There is even a flat bottom boat tour on the Upper Myakka lake. The visitor center offers a lot of rentals too... from kayaks to tandem bikes. (For the die hard road bikers it is only 12.5 miles to Legacy Rail to trail). We had a blast and our video goes into more detail about the park. The pros on this RV park are that it is only 4 miles from the beach and very convenient to shopping. Fort Myers, Sanibel, Cape Coral are all just 15 to 20 minutes drive. It has a very nice smaller pool that is a great meeting place every afternoon. The people really make this place tolerable as they are so nice. The front bathroom has just been redone and is very nice. The back one is OK. Laundry facility is nice however, they use the card system so you have to pay $5 just to get the card and then the minimum you can purchase is $10 so you better need to do a lot of laundry to get your $15 dollars worth. The real downside to this park is that the sites are SO tight. Crazy tight. And the other issue is that there are a lot of seasonal sites mixed in that are not well kept with old cars and junk scattered around. Too bad they can't get some pride in this place to make it better.

We first came to Koreshan ( core-resh-in) as a place to get near Naples to visit relatives. The campground is mainly two circles, one inside the other. Sites are small but manageable and have relatively good screening between sights. There’s kayaking on the river and a little bit of hiking. The main attraction is the historic Koreshan commune. It’s a short hike along the river. There’s lots of wildlife snakes, gopher tortoises, etc to see and some very cool giant bamboo from the original gardens. If it’s windy stop and listen to the bamboo! The historic buildings and information is very interesting, very odd beliefs and well kept.
There are frequent gatherings at the historic site such as vintage camper trailers when we were there.
Bathhouse is in serious need of renovating, but is kept clean. It’s located in the center of everything and sometimes quite a walk depending on your site. The campground stays pretty busy all year.
