Do your research - TT members be wary

Note: TT Encore does not mean a special upgraded park,

Per TT, Encore parks are ones that agree to hold several sites for TT members. We've come to understand the worst sites are set aside for TT members

Don't waste your money if TT and do research on what site you get if not This is the second worse Encore park we've visited

Booked this site 60 days ago for longer BUT left early as it was so bad One lane roads with 2 way traffic. If you have a big rig, it will be tight.

Our Site: Side and rear backs up to the park dump and supply site.

Grass/dirt site.

Our front has 6 foot diameter sewer drum which is leaking vapor, picnic table over some access panel.

Some resolution could be had if a privacy fence was put up to shelter the view Surrounded by year round residents, some homes well kept, most not so much, some abandoned and trashed

I reached out to park manager and was after 2 hours and we already set up in 85 degree heat, there was 1 other site but it was just as bad.

We paid an additional$20 per night, I asked for a refund, response was Why? What did you expect?

They said to contact TT I contacted TT and they said they couldn't do anything, but I could file a complaint. Our neighbor was here 3 months, they said on Google earth the area behind us was a field at time of booking. Also told if they wanted to rebook for next year, they would have to have the same site! They aren't coming back either

ALSO at 630 am a crew decided to install an electric both beside the septic tank, pic ax, sawing metal and cement.

So much for our vacation stay

Love the park and location - bad traffic

We were almost turned off by the bad reviews and then when we pulled into our site, the mobile home next door was vacant and gave a little creepy feeling to it. The site was on Raccoon Ln and our RV fit right into the spot. All of that changed after spending our first night and staying a month. First of all the location, if you like to kayak, this is the place for you. Right on the river. Very nice. It is close to Venice beach(less than 10 miles) and the town of Venice which is a awesome little town. The people- including staff are awesome. Some of the nicest people. The vibe is very laid back. The pool is amazing. There are lots to do here in this community and they have events and social gatherings. It is close to Spring training camp for the Braves. So I can see why some people have negatives- if you have big million dollar class A, you might not like being among the permanent mobile homes. We came when it was dry, there could be a problem if there was a lot of rain due to the RV sitting on grass. The biggest problem we saw was the traffic on Rt 777 can be pretty crazy at certain times of the day. But for us, overall this has been great. We camped at Ramblers Rest RV Campground in a Motorhome

Tight Quarters

Ramblers Rest - Venice, FL: Nice facility. Mostly full time or longer term seasonal rentals. More of a mobile home community where they squeeze RVs into the spaces between mobile homes. Clean and well kept, but not the typical campground we would choose. Very tight quarters. Fulls hook-ups which was nice.

Scenic campground on Myakka River

We stayed here in our 40’ class A for about 2 months in August & September 2019 and really enjoyed the campground which is nestled amongst tall pine trees. The pool area is well kept and heated. They also have many other recreational activities like pickle ball, basketball and a billiards room. Laundry rooms are another nice amenity. Management was good at this park. The only complaints I have is that when it rains frequently (summer months) the ground tends to become saturated with water. Many times we had 2” plus of standing water outside of our RV (we were on “Raccoon Road”). Also, the electrical and water connections needed maintenance while we were there. They were very worn out. Otherwise we had a great stay.
