Operated by the military for NASA employees and service members, KARS Park sits on the river directly across from Kennedy Space Center. The campground requires an annual membership of $15-20 and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, with about 20 sites positioned along the riverfront for rocket launch viewing.
All sites include water and electric hookups, while two dump stations serve RV campers. Clean bathhouses and a small camp store provide basic amenities. A boat launch sits just outside the campground boundaries. The facility updates available sites daily on their Facebook page, making it easier for eligible visitors to plan their stay in this restricted-access location for camping near Cape Canaveral.
Description
This is a lovely campground for those that are NASA employees - you must have an applicable membership card to camp in an RV or Tent.
