Rock formations are a MUST SEE

We were visiting Woodland Park and trying to find a place to camp on our next trip and we’re told about this campground. We follow some directions given by a local and found the camp (not realizing it was a group camp) and the rock formations. OH MY how beautiful!!!! I had no idea this was tucked back in there! There were several small groups and families wandering the trail and the formations. We spent a good two hours here climbing and enjoying the beautiful weather. I WISH there was an actual campground, other than group, back in here and I would come every year.

CLOSED FOR COVID

Looks like a great campground tucked back off the main road but it was closed for COVID-19.

Epic.

We stopped at red rocks after being kicked out at another placed apparently we were camped illegally. So glad we wound up here. There were no facilities in the camping area which is great. Really love basic camping it is my favorite. But anyways this is really close to Red Rocks Amphitheater got up at sunrise and explored the venue. It was exceptional and now i really want to see a concert there. Soon after sunrise they opened up the doors and bathrooms were available and you can walk the the museum type exhibit they got!
