Pretty

Very nice campground with mature trees. Nice bathrooms. Lots of sites. Good location.

Very nice

Nice campground with spacious sites. Concrete pads under the picnic table and fire pits. Water access nearby. Bathrooms were super clean and the showers were nice and hot. Laundry facilities available. We stayed on D-183 and had a nice view of the mountains and the lake. Definitely one of the best state park campgrounds in Colorado.

Cute but lots of through traffic

The park has several sites with electric hook ups and several without. Yhey do have a faucet for filling your tanks with water and a dump station. The bathhouse is clean and the shower is huge. All of the sites have asphalt, some are bigger than others. There are numerous mature shade trees and a couple of nice little ponds to sit by. You can also access the river with just a short walk. This is also the city park so there is a good bit of in and out traffic. Today, there is a wedding being held in the park so that’s going to be interesting tonight when the reception begins. The Main Street in town is definitely in walking distance. Rangely has a phenomenal golf course just down the road. Coach’s corner is a little bar pub next to the hotel and the food is excellent. I do like this campground but be aware that there are side by sides and 4 wheelers coming through it very often throughout the day and evening since the back street of town comes into the park. I would stay here again.

Very cramped camping

I chose this park due to the other reviews but they obviously had much different experience than we did. We were given camp site 44 and we were shocked! When we backed our little Little Guy teardrop camper into the spot we were 13 feet from the camper on the left, and there were 3 campers backed in at the back within FEET. Then a new camper pulled in on the right, a camper van. It was 5 feet from our door. Basically, it was like cramming 3 campers into one spot. It was like they put 3 campers in 1 campsite. This was an inside camp spot. The outer spots had more room. Also, out sewer hook up was 10 inches above ground making it super hard to get drainage. We looked around and there were quite a few like that but most were close to the ground. Like I said, it’s like they made 3 site out of one. The bathhouse is fine. They do have a nice laundry facility but you have to sign up for a time slot since the campground is so big. They had firewood and camper/camping supplies at the office. Given how many other campgrounds are in the area, I wouldn’t stay at this one again.

Nice

Nice campground. Late checkin forms in the box that was super convenient. Nice, clean bathrooms and showers. Great view of Pikes Peak, beautiful sunrise views. Nice camp hosts. Full Verizon cell service.

Awesome!

Last minute reservation easily accommodated. Beautiful and super clean. Amazing bathhouse and coffee house. Cabins also available for rent. One of the nicest rv parks we’ve stayed in.

Nice little park

We enjoyed this little RV park. It was quiet and well maintained and just off the main road making it easy to walk about parts of town. Vernal is a nice town with several interesting drives and sites nearby. This RV park is a good launching pad for day trips!

Nice

Nice little campground with all the amenities. Super clean bathrooms with granite counter and tile. Pleasant hosts. Quiet, just a bit of highway noise but not much. Pool, hot tub, jump pad, pond with rental boats, lots of kids games. Nice lots with mature trees for shade. There are also cute cabins and small houses to rent.

Very good!

Coleman Lake Campgrounds is a really nice campground with clean bathhouses, paved roads, relatively flat camp sites, great bike and hiking trails, and big lake for fishing and swimming. Lots of things to keep the kids entertained or just a quiet getaway for the adults.

Quiet

Nice, quiet, primitive campground. •Beautiful creek beside it that makes a great place for summer fun •Great hiking trails. •Vault toilets •No running water in faucets •Tends to hold water in rainy season •Flat camping spots •Fire Pits •Nice mountain views

Great place for a weekend getaway. Kids love the creek and some spots are deep enough for a swim…or a bath.
