Directions

To get to Cottonwood Lake, travel north on Highway 24 to the only stoplight in Buena Vista. Turn left at the stoplight and travel west on Main Street. Main Street will leave the city limits of Buena Vista and will continue as County Road 306, also known as the Cottonwood Pass road. Stay on this road for about 6 miles then turn left at County Road 344 and the sign that indicates Cottonwood Lake, 3 miles. This road can be rough so drive slowly.

Cottonwood lake camp ground

Amazing hosts and well kept grounds. Able to be in an Aspen grove and walking distance to the lake

Beautiful mountain campground

A beautiful campground nestled in an aspen grove and evergreens. Cottonwood creek and Cottonwood lake are close by. The first come first serve sites are spacious and well laid out. There is a very nice day use picnic and fishing docks on the lake. Beautiful lake for SUP, kayaking, fishing or just…

Sites are spaced decently. Near lots of great dispersed camping & great alternative if unable to grab nice dispersed site.
