Nice & Clean RV Park, Tight Spaces

I stayed at this park with my daughter and dog for one night while passing through.

The facilities are very clean, showers have nice hot water for a minimal fee.

The dog park is small, but well maintained with poop bags on site for your use.

The RV Park workers were fantastic, checked on us…

We drove through and chose not to stay

This portion of the camping area is called Oak Slope, the other being on the lake for RVs for residents displaced by fires.

For Oak Slope:   Imagine a steep tiered parking lot with narrow spaces. The whole campground is on a hill so the higher sites just look down on the lower sites. Most…

Loud and Poopy

Not far from Ashland and right past the Hyatt Lake Resort are some dispersed spots on BLM land near the lake. The lake level is very low so at this time you could drive quite close to it but it gets really muddy so watch out because it looks grassy and deceivingly dry.

There is road noise but…

Campers delight

Sunset campground is absolutely beautiful. The Lake of the woods is an amazing, clean lake. It has a wonderful view of Mt. Mcloughlin. The campground is clean and quiet. The sites come with a fire pit and electrical hookups which is always nice. The bathrooms are well kept and clean.

Surprising attraction this year

This lake is empty now (2021) and it’s a nice surprise to cross the barren lake bottom to see many different terrains. Would be a nice discovery trip for kids finding lake bottom treasures. There are many active bugs here too, for the entomologist in you. It’s a well maintained and healthy forest…

Nice and peaceful

We have stayed a few times in our rv with our dogs. It is very peaceful. The water and the pelicans are beautiful. The sites can be used with your rv or a tent. Each site has a fire ring and a grill. Our favorite thing to do is to take the dogs out for a walk in the Keno recreational forest. They…

Great showers and bathrooms for camping

We are a professional and adventurous couple in our late 50s/ early 60s who have been working our way down the snowy volcanic Cascades to Mt Shasta.  We're new to the van life, having lived mostly overseas, and are not RV-oriented, so we've been a little careful about choosing sites with adequate…

Awesome!

I can’t say enough good things about this campground. Fowler’s was 100% full but as of later on a Thursday in mid-May here we have an entire loop to ourselves. Rain/showers were in some forecasts so some may have cancelled trips. Sites are much larger & more spread out than Fowler’s. Only…

Cheap campground near shasta

There are 14 camp grounds. About 7/8 have bear bins. There is no water right now because the spring/well is dried up)-: there are fire rings on about 1/2 the camp cites. Bathrooms are close but, kinda gross. Nice shade and trees to slack line. No camp host so but fire wood and in town. Very close…

Nice camp ground on water

Walking distance to the water. Lots of obsidian with just a short walk. Very beautiful and secluded. Not many people and camp spots are located very far apart. Highly recommend. Nice star viewing.

Cute stop spot

My boyfriend & I stayed here when leaving from California, when we were having truck problems. We did like it, staff were super friendly. We didn’t make a reservation. Used good Sam discount. You can tell that there are full timers that live there. Not complaining, because they weren’t mean and…

Undergoing Improvements

At highway 66 near Ashland this park has both RV and tent sites. The RV sites are full/partial hook up (30 amp only) and dry camping. Note though that even if you pay for partial or dry you will still need to pay $10/dump your tanks. We opted for just full hook ups here. The tent sites are near the…

One Night Way Stop

This RV campground is totally adequate for a one night pull in and early departure.  It however seemed to have a large number of permanently parked trailers, and in the back section, exclusive a mobil trailer park type setting.  The staff were very friendly and the utility hook up section clean and…

The perfect camp

We stayed in early May so it was chilly but during the day was 70’s so we got in the river and washed off. We stayed at the one site on the left before you cross the bridge and we didn’t see anyone all day or night. Plenty of flat ground and trees for hammocks. Walk just a couple feet right down to…

Beautiful Area!

We were headed to this campground but the last 1/3 mile was blocked by gate and snow covered road so we ended up staying in the large parking area which was actually not bad and we stayed 3 nights.  Website indicates campground is temporarily closed.
