Spacious, Friendly, Clean, well kept and intriguing :)

We are winter camped here for a couple of days on our way to Mexico… The Dyrt spotted this campground for us on our route and we are sooo glad… We will make this a destination in the future.

RV Park in the middle of a working ranch

You drive down a gravel road right through a 6,000 acre working cattle ranch. There are 40 pull through RV sites with electric, water, and some sites have sewer. There is a dump station. We were there during a Blue moon with no light pollution and it felt like you could grab it out of the sky. Was quite an unexpected find.

Absolutely Breathtaking

We booked this campsite as an overnight stay on our way to Southlake Tahoe from Eugene Oregon. The campsite is incredibly beautiful with views of Mount Shasta and several other mountain peaks from the edge of the campground. Dannelle and Ben were incredibly helpful during the reservation and check in process. There was a small glitch with our reservation, but Danelle fixed it quickly and showed us to our site, which was very nicely set up and ready for a great stay. We use the trails around the campsite a couple of times each day and had an absolutely fantastic time overall. We will certainly be back.

We were too tired to go further.. this was in the area so we went. It’s up in a beautiful area inside a working ranch. Spacious and very nice. Great find. Thank you !

Small but great and free

Camped here in June 2020 and got the single prime spot across the little pond with its own pit toilet. Snowed when we were there in June. No hookups but there’s water around the campsites and picnic tables and fire pits. Excellent little campground with maybe a dozen or so sites. Clean & well maintained. Beautiful Warner Mountains all around.

If you keep going up the forest road there are dispersed camping spots at higher elevation with great views but roads only suitable for small rigs. There’s both a BLM and USFS office in nearby Cedarville for info plus hot springs in Surprise Valley and lots of good rockhounding in nearby Warner mountains on the west side towards Lakeview. Would camp here again.

Owners are friendly and gave us a great spot! Each space is large and private. Facilities are clean. Quiet location and beautiful area. Highly recommend.

Great place to stop for a night.

Its ideal if you’re coming from California and headed to Oregon. A couple hours away from Crater Lake.

Nice clean campground. The road to the campground is fine it’s once you turn into the campground you need to be careful. Has 2 Separate Men & Women outhouse. Didn’t see any trash cans. Stream & Obsidian Mine nearby.

Pleasant surprise

Clean no frills FREE campground.

Shady, quiet spots, lovely creek passing through

This campground is not far from the highway, on a nicely maintained gravel road. Some private homes not too far from the grounds. There were about 10 sites here, each had fire pit. You should be careful to read about fire restrictions in the area, just in case. At the time we were there, you could have fires in designated areas, but please make sure they’re out cold when you’re done! The front part of the camp ground has drive in sites and across the bridge, over the creek, there were a handful more walk up sites that were nicely shaded and removed. Those back sites had these sort of ovens as opposed to traditional fire pits. The pit toilets were decently clean, but quite dark inside. There are water spigots, but no water comes out - we later saw a sign posted saying that the water system was shut off. There’s little to no Verizon service. Overall, it was a nice quiet, shady place to stay!
