Awesome! Gets windy, but so much fun with the kids, and the RZR.
Traveling while pulling my utility trailer along makes slow going. And pulling up a long, long, long desert mountain grade can be downright exhausting.
So this is a mighty grateful thumbs up review. Robert made my day when I phoned up in the late afternoon and offered me a limited use rate on one…
We rolled into camp around 9pm and was greeted by a security guard who kindly called the ranger who then took us to a campground. This was great since rolling in at night it’s not always fun specially when you have to drive around a campground you are not familiar with and find a spot.

Dirt interior roads, including a dead end that was really a challenge to back and fill the trailer out of. Quiet at night once the off-roaders go to bed. Good hookups. Pretty easy walk to Calico Ghost Town, well worth the effort. We will probably be back.
Plenty of room to be by yourself and shoot some pictures.

This is a popular camping site for OHV riders during the winter. There are several sites at this location that each can hold 5-7 RVs. Each of the sites has a primitive fire ring, but there is no wood in the area, so bring your own. There are no toilets or water either.
It is the desert, so it gets…
Had a great time exploring the ghost town with my kids. I recommend doing the tour of the mine for a small fee. A lot was still shut down due to the pandemic. Friendly and we'll stocked office. Staff were always available. Clean showers and bathroom. Pool was cold which is great in the heat. Not all sites have shade but most do.
OK for one night ... kinda dirty
This is over priced, maintenance nonexistent, dirty, park. Doesn't meet KOA standards in my eyes? Splash and Dash Stop
The office plays music on outdoor speakers facing the campsites during business hours. Unless you are in the back half of the park, you’ll be listening to whatever radio station the host chooses, including commercials, all day long. The site was level and had bushes between sites for privacy. Easy…
Road noise and maintenance people not really maintenance people. Overpriced tiny store.
Fantastically convenient and minimal approaches to most climbs. Extremely busy on fair weather weekends, it's almost impossible to find a site after 1pm Friday. PLEASE ONLY CAMP IN DESIGNATED SITES!! Much effort and government funds went into creating this Campground in 2003. There has been a lot…

We came in after dark and were escorted by the ranger to the campsites. It was really nice not having to fumble our way through the dark in a place we didn’t know with an RV. Very friendly, sites were easy to drive into and the location is gorgeous
