Beautiful park with lots of extras

Camping area has concrete parking pads with electric and water hook ups. Bath house in the camping area includes showers and laundry. Very clean and well kept.

The park has: A concert walking/ running/ biking path with workout stations located along the path. Two baseball fields and a basketball ball court. A discussion golf course. Three play grounds for children.

Everything is well kept and clean.

    Pocahontas City Park

    Beautiful park & fishing

This park is in the city of Pocahontas, Arkansas. It has 7 full service concrete parking pads. A very nice boat launch & plenty of parking for trucks with boat trailers. Park has a bath house, but it's very old and not too clean. Bath house needs to be replaced. Park also has a nice basketball court & playground. It has a very peaceful vibe.

    Peaceful and scenic

Spent 3 nights here and the area is beautiful! The mill and springs are soothing and crystal clear. The river is shallow enough to wade across and cool off in. Great spot if you are in the area. A few people on the river fishing and kayaking but no other campers that we saw while there.

    Bad experience

Was extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience.   Bad service with staff and dirty accommodations.  Noisey at night.  Never going back.  Also overpriced.

    Great little campground near Paragould

This campground was perfect for our little family reunion near Paragould. We booked three sites together and they were close enough that it was easy to visit each other. It was also a very nice little campground with lots of shade and the bathrooms were very clean and had showers. We also enjoyed the little lake and playground for the kids. The only downside were the mosquitoes, but one of us had a screened canopy that went over the picnic table, which worked great. We were very impressed with the staff and the campground and will likely return.

    Nice State Park & Campground

Camped here during Thanksgiving 2023. Camped in our campervan in Loop A of the camnpground. Backed into site 35; not quite level, but okay. It looks like the sites inside of the loop are more level. The park is in a wooded area, although no privacy between sites. Sites were clean and very well maintained. Table, fire ring & grill included. Water & 30amp electric hookups. Restroom/showers very clean. The park and lake are beautiful. Enjoyed fishing at the fishing pier which was a short walk on a paved path from the campsite.

    Nice place to stay

Beautiful relaxing place. I’m a fan of dispersed camping yet this was still private even for a campground. Nice bathhouses with laundry. Individual campsite trash cans. They provided free wood! Nice flat paved sites with water and electric for only $25

    Loved it

Wow, what an incredible weekend we had at the CurrantRiver Campground From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a sense of adventure. The campground itself was well-maintained, with clean facilities and spacious campsites that offered just the right amount of privacy.

The highlight of our trip was, of course, the canoeing experience. The staff provided top-notch equipment and safety instructions, making us feel confident even though we were beginners. Paddling down the scenic Currant River was an absolute joy. The water was crystal clear, and the surrounding nature was breathtaking. We encountered some gentle rapids, which added a thrill to the journey without being too challenging for novices like us.

One thing that stood out was the wildlife we spotted along the way – eagles, deer,It felt like a true escape into nature.

The team made our trip unforgettable. They were knowledgeable about the area, provided great tips for navigating the river, and ensured our safety at all times. We also appreciated the convenience of shuttle service back to the campground after our float trip.

Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return. If you're looking for a relaxing yet adventurous getaway in the heart of Missouri this is it

    Nice quiet place and friendly

Beautiful place to camp. Everyone running the park was super nice and accommodating. The only drawback that I can think of was the mosquitos. Shower house/bathroom cleaned and well maintained.

    Very Nice

It's a small camping area but very nice! There's a lake that allows canoeing, walking trail with exercise equipment. huge playground, huge parking areas with pavilions, bathrooms with hot water, water fountains throughput. They have a movie theater type to teach you about the land & heritage with mist that sprays on you to give live effects. $25.per night whether RV, Pull along, or tent camping. Bath house with toilets, showers, hot water. All camping spots have water, electric, sewage, and personal trash cans. Cons- were one area to camp The tenants were very stand off-ish and a bit rude. The folks caring for the property were nice at first then became judgemental, had the law constantly come through plus the park rangers/co-workers would sit and watch our every move, and be very nosey. I felt safe but also felt luke I was walking on eggshells the whole time. Tent camping here is not recommended but acceptable. We were visiting from out of state to get away from a hurricane in our home state and our visit was quite disappointing to say the least as far as what I've mentioned but enjoyed the park.

    What a Gem!!

We LOVED our stay here. Playgrounds and a splash pad our kids loved. Norm, the site host, was SO helpful. We were having battery issues and he helped us diagnose and fix it.

    Whitten River Access

    Great place for kayakers

It has river access via a boat ramp and "dock". There are several level, clear places to camp with enough room for rv's. The road in is rough gravel and a big rv will be slow going. However, I've seen so good size rv's there. It's free and first come camping. There's a vault toilet. It's otherwise primitive camping. Our group kayaks in during trout fishing trips and have never had a problem finding a place to camp. The Eleven Point River is beautiful and cold. Some of the best outdoor fun for adventurous people.

    Very nice, small campground

This a very small campsite, only 20 sites I believe, but he sites are quite large and level. About half the sites back up to the White River.

The campsite is somewhat off the beaten path, and there isn't necessarily a ton to do in the area, but if you're looking for quiet, and low-key stop, this is the place.

The grounds are very well maintained, about half the sites back up to the White River, and there is a very nice beach/swimming area as well as a boat launch. Added bonus, the bathrooms were incredibly clean!

The visitor's center is a must see. Lots of great exhibits detailing the history of the area.

Newport is about 15 minutes away and provides a variety of shopping and dining options. If you find yourself over that way I highly recommend stopping at Blue Bridge Brews and Bakery (tons of great coffee and pastry options).

    We Love Crowleys Ridge

Everything about this park is amazing. They recently redid the swimming area and cleaned and refilled with better water. They have paddle boats you can rent from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We have stayed many trips in this park. Site 1 is our favorite. Features pull through with a large area including tent pad and nice gathering area. We glamp camp and we’re able to set up a 16x20 tent, but the tent did go over the size of the pad. All sites have water and electricity, except for a few primitive sites. There is a nice campground and walking area. Also a great hiking trail which isn’t too hard. The park is close to Paragould with a Walmart and a dollar general is a couple miles away. The only site I wouldn’t recommend is site 9. It has a very steep hill and would only be good for very small campers or tent camping.

    Not ideal

We stopped in for an overnight and weren't impressed when we got there. The trees are overgrown and the spots are very poorly laid out. We have a 37 foot 5er and had to do some difficult maneuvering to get turned around when we left. The owner took cash only, didn't register us in any way, and frankly overcharged for what we got.

    Cute Little Camoground

We loved this little campground. Some sites have water, 50 amp electricity and sewer hook up while the others have 30 camp electricity and water. The sites next to the lake seem to have the best views, but they’re all nice. We stayed during spring break 2023 and the campground was about 3/4 full. The bathhouses were clean and the staff was super friendly. Park rangers drove around the campground a lot and made it very safe.

Like a state park but without the state park price

Very nice. Clean restrooms, hot showers, reasonable laundry. Lovely lake with a 2 mile trail that goes around. It has several pavilions and playgrounds. The only downside is lots of looky-loos come through the campground and the sounds from the various playgrounds travel over the lakes and can seem quite loud.

    One nighter off the interstate

This campground offers monthly rentals but also a place to hook up for a night or two. This is good for a one night rental when passing through. Expect noise from the interstate. This is not a typical “campground” but gets the job done for an overnight stay.

    Great Place with Homey Feel

$10 per night, firewood, ice, and more amenities on site.  The owner is so nice.  His dog Lil' Dan also slept with me.  There is a horse next to the camp sites and it's just so beautiful.  Float launches from the campground, so convenient.  Close to Grand Gulf, Greer Spring, Mammoth Spring, and right on beautiful highway 19.  I will be back soon!

    Beautiful Small Campground

Beautiful, peaceful, smaller campground with a small lake, a river, hiking trails and historic sites with interpretive signage. We had a 50amp FHU site and were able to get our 44' 5th wheel in site #2, which allowed us a lovely view of the lake. It would be easier to back rigs into the sites if they didn't have the wooden signs at the entrance to each site with the site#, but we got in with lots of back and forthing. Larger sites, beautiful trees and surrounded by the changing colors of the leaves in mid-October.

    Great Park

Pulled in after hours and they had left our space number written on the door of the office. No issues at all at the park. The dump station was easy to use. The park has nice trails along the campsites. Our spot was #30 and was pretty level, paved, and was equipped with a picnic table and a fire pit.

    Ridge sites at their best,

They did a stellar job of putting in sites on this ridge. They're pretty level although pretty close together. Water & electric and reasoonably priced. Both ATT & Verizon worked well. The wifi info listed above must be at the office only, as there was not signal near us, we use a hot spotor  our phones.
