Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Morrilton, AR

Petit Jean State Park's pet-friendly campsites accommodate tent, RV, cabin, and glamping options while maintaining a clean, family-friendly environment. The park features multiple camping areas divided by Highway 154, with Area D offering water and electric hookups suitable for pets, though setup can be challenging with modern RVs. Area A provides full hookup sites but typically requires reservations more than a year in advance. The bathhouses remain clean throughout the day, and the campground connects to numerous hiking trails where leashed pets are welcome. Sites near the lake offer scenic views and easy water access for dogs to cool off during warmer months.

Toad Suck Park and Maumelle Park provide additional pet-friendly options with concrete pads at all reservable sites. While the concrete prevents staking tents, it creates level surfaces ideal for camping with pets. Toad Suck strictly prohibits alcohol but allows dogs throughout the campground, with immaculately clean bathrooms serviced twice daily. The constant sound of water from the nearby lock and dam on the Arkansas River creates a peaceful background noise. Maumelle Park offers excellent walking trails for pets while remaining close to major conveniences, with site E7 providing good privacy for campers with dogs. Harris Brake Lake allows free dispersed camping with pets in a more primitive setting for those seeking a budget-friendly option.

Brand new RV campground in HotSprings

Everything is awesome. Sites are in pristine condition. Managers are so friendly and helpful. Located in Hot Spring proper. Easy access to everything. Little Rock North KOA

Only 1 Tent Site on the property !

It was great. I have the only tent site they offer. It’s away from the RV area. The couple that runs the KOA are super friendly. There is a pool but not open for some reason. Small dog park. Camp store. Clean. And an ice cream shop! The only drawback is it’s close to the freeway and you can hear a LOT of traffic.

    Hot Springs National Park KOA

    Enjoyable maiden voyage

I have little to go off of, but this is a very clean, safe feeling place. Close to the national park, friendly employees and guests, several mini trails and a dog park.

    J and J RV Park

    Very Nice, Quiet Place

This park was very peaceful and quiet. You can hear the bullfrogs at night. JJ - the owner was the ice on the cake. Just such a nice fellow. There are several full timers there. It is right on a little creek, and there are turkeys somewhere nearby. The RV Park is very very close to Hot Springs National Park, and there is an amusement park right across the highway. The Wi-Fi is nonexistent. There is no dog park, but plenty of space to walk your fur children. We enjoyed the full hook ups. Nice big pull thru sites. There is a laundry room and bathrooms on the premises. I had an enjoyable experience, and would gladly stay there again if I am ever nearby.

    Hot Springs National Park KOA

    Clean with a dog park

D26 Back-in full hook-ups, fire ring & picnic table. 2 nights - Memorial Day weekend. Good spot, close to bath rooms/shower house/cafe. Pretty level - just 1 leveling block was all we needed for our pop-up. Lots of amenities- cafe, fishing pond, small general store, playground and off leash dog area. Staff was very friendly. Escorted you to your spot and helped us back in. Shower house was always clean. Loved the dog park! We are just starting to travel with our 2 boxers and was so nice to have an area for them to run a bit. Cons - spots are very close, no privacy. Each spot has a very bright “porch” light that is on until Midnight

    Outdoor Living Center RV Park

Cool place on some hot days

Spent three nights. Called for reservations, very receptive owners no problems getting in. I was running late due to the distance. They called to check on us and left instructions in a box at the office with site number, WiFi, bath codes. Again very nice owners. Went in the next morning to settle bill. Office is stocked with a nice assortment of things that an RV owner might need for minor repairs. Camp site was pretty level, spacing is typical for a campsite built some years ago, but we had a site on the end so we didn’t feel too close to anyone. Owners have only had the campground for two years. Was told the water connections were their next priority. Connections are a little inconvenient due to being under ground level, but no problem connecting my water filter for my 5th wheel. Dog park was a short walk away, was clean. Campground was clean, dumpsters accessible for trash and area clean around them. We would be happy to stay there again.

    Long Pool Recreation Area

    Swimming hole perfection

Tent campers have the better camping loop at this campground, closer to the water, nicer sites, most with plenty of trees for shade. You can drive up to the less attractive and less conveniently located RV loop to use the showers, if you need them. Some campsites are just a football-field distance from the rocky swim beach, while others sit either nestled in the woods or overlooking the creek from above on a small bluff. The big draw is the charming swimming area with its imposing trio of rocks that swimmers love to jump off of. Pets are not permitted around or in the water, so we prefer to leave our dog at home when visiting here. Hiking from the campground is terrific, too, particularly when the water is flowing to make waterfalls. Long Pool is a must-visit camping destination for Arkansas residents.
