Beautiful mountain top camping next to Beaver Lake. Camp sites are distanced for privacy. Hiking trails lead to the waterfalls, caves and cliffs on the property. Great bike trails link from property as well. Store available on site. Located 5 minutes from the swimming at Beaver Lake.  We have very clean shower house on site for after you get done hiking and want to go 15 minutes down the road and go shopping in downtown Eureka Springs or to go see the second largest statue of Christ and see the passion play.  With fall coming up it is one of the most beautiful places in the country.  We’re booking up fast so schedule your visit soon.

## Overview

Lake Wedington beckons visitors of many types, those who come to relax and fish all day, those who come to speed along on bike paths or cruise on a boat, and those who want to stay in a cabin as a lakeside home-away-from-home. The recreation area also offers convenient access, as it is located just 13 miles west of Fayetteville, and 13 miles east of Siloam Springs.   
  
The facility offers several rental cabins, campsites and picnic sites alongside its the lake. Each offers access to a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. The area can be accessed by vehicle and a parking space should be available. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities.

## Recreation

A swimming area, boat ramp and accessible fishing pier are available on-site. Visitors enjoy boating, kayaking and canoeing, as well as fishing on the lake. Anglers seek bluegill, largemouth and spotted bass, bream and channel catfish, among other species. A world-record grass carp, weighing 80 pounds, was caught at the lake in 2004, using 14-pound line. In addition to picnic areas and swimming, the area is also popular for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, however horses must be kept outside the park area at all times. The Lakeshore Hiking Trail circles a large portion of the lake. The North Twin hiking and mountain biking trial extends for sixteen miles from the facility. A volleyball court and horseshoes pits are also provided at the park.

## Facilities

Drinking water, showers, a boat ramp and flush toilets are among the available amenities at Lake Wedington. Campsites do not have electrical hookups, but are equipped with a picnic table, campfire ring and grill. The picnic pavilion and lodge are available for day-use only. The picnic pavilion can accommodate up to 75 guests and the lodge can hold up to 200 people. The six historic cabins are equipped with electricity, including heating and air conditioning. A kitchen area in each of the buildings is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, cooking pots and pans and basic tableware. Linens, towels and bedding are not provided. Guests should pack food, towels, blankets and/or sleeping bags, pillows, and other basic overnight supplies. They should also bring their own firewood or request to purchase from the park in advance. ## Natural Features

In the 1930s, the lake and recreation area were built under the guidance of the Soil Conservation Service. The Forest Service acquired the land in 1954 and restored the buildings, and the location is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guests who rent one of the cabins will get the opportunity to stay in a historic structure from the 1930s, while still enjoying the luxuries of a cozy bed and a coffee maker.   
  
A variety of wildlife, trees, ferns and wildflowers surround the 102-acre Lake Wedington. Fall leaves put on quite a show, often attracting photographers. Wildlife in the area includes rabbits, deer and wild turkeys, as well as an array of migratory waterfowl. In winter, eagles may be sighted. 

## Nearby Attractions

Along State Highway 16, both east to Fayetteville, or west to Siloam Springs, groceries, gasoline, ice and other supplies are available in the small communities of Prairie Grove, Farmington and Lincoln.

Lake Wedington

Making for great camping near Tulsa, Natural Falls State Park gets its name due to the unique water feature found inside the park’s Dripping Springs. Soaring 77 feet above the flat lands of the nearby Oklahoma/Arkansas border, one of the largest waterfalls in the region cascades down into the depths of the grassland valley below. Thanks to a railed viewing platform that overlooks the waterfall, visitors from all over come to enjoy the serene atmosphere and picturesque splendor created by this natural wonder. 

 Natural Falls State Park is most famously known for its cameo in the 1974 movie “Where the Red Fern Grows” which was filmed here. While you may not be interested in raising coonhounds, you might be pleased to find that dogs are allowed here so long as they’re on leash and cleaned up after. Additionally, the park offers a 44 RV sites, with 7 of them offering hookups. Furthermore, 17 tent sites are available for reservation if you aren’t one to travel via RV or Van. Nightly pricing ranges from $14 for a standard tent site, to $30 for a premium RV site with hookups. 

 Those looking for a more convenient camping solution will enjoy the variety of Yurts available for reservation here. Each Yurt can house between 4-6 people, and will more than appeal to even the pickiest of travelers thanks to the well-equipped furnishings found within. Each comes with a fridge, microwave, lighting, electric outlets, Vinyl covered mattresses, heating, and more. Not only that, but bathrooms and showers are just a short walk away. And don’t worry about your four-legged friends; with an additional fee they’ll be able to cozy up with your family inside. Nightly rates for Yurt reservations start at $100, with an additional $15 fee for pets. If you don’t have your own bedding available, the park will lend a complete set for $25. 

 When it comes to recreation, there’s tons to do! Hiking and fishing are very accessible here, with marked trails and designated fishing areas throughout. Furthermore, if you bring a pair of binoculars the park is full places perfect for checking out the local wildlife. Additionally, the park is jammed pack with local flora and fauna, such as Dogwood and Sassafrass. Moreover, onsite volleyball, disc-golf, horseshoes, a basketball court, and other recreation are found throughout the park. 

 People may visit here due to the fame, but they stay for the beauty within. Natural Falls State Park is a treasure of Oklahoma, and is worth checking out for anyone who needs a break away from the stress of everyday life.

After visiting Natural Falls State Park, break out the swimsuits and make a splash at Flint Creek Waterpark. This family-friendly swimming hole offers plenty of cold water to share with a variety of visitors. Guests are welcome to pitch a tent for a few nights or simply pack a picnic lunch at this summer hotspot. Whether swimming all day or dipping your toes in to cool off, please keep in mind that Flint Creek Waterpark has no lifeguards on duty.

Welcome to the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve Campground. All tent campsites are wooden platforms in the heart of the Preserve. Camping at Coler is dry, primitive camping, with all platforms being hike in only (we have one ADA site) and offered year-round. As our campsites are elevated platforms, no tent stakes are needed but we recommend extra cords to secure your tent to our cleat tie downs. Camper van spots are also available to those with camper vans, pull behind trailers are not allowed. Campsites have no water, sewer, electrical hook-ups or Wi-Fi service.

The Coler Campground

Camping rates in Sycamore Park which have water & electrical hookups shall be the following: Fee for space $14.00 per night, (includes water and electric) Fees must be paid in advance at the FRPOA office. Tent campers who wish to camp in utility hookup areas may do so as long as they pay the space fee, and as long as there are open spaces.

Camping outside of improved spaces and attaching to the utilities will not be allowed. There is a $5 per night fee for camping in non improved (primitive) areas at Luper Hole or Canoe Pickup.

ALL CAMPERS must first receive a permit by registering at the Administrative Office prior to establishing a campsite. Maximum stay for camping is 14 days.
