    SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

RV parks near Hollywood, Alabama include Wills Creek RV Park in Fort Payne with full hookup sites including 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections. Little River RV Park & Campground offers 64 sites with both 30 and 50-amp hookups on spacious gravel pads. "The sites weren't particularly level, all gravel and the grass appeared hastily sown over unleveled soil with large clumps of clay and rocks present," noted one visitor about Wills Creek. Georgia Mountain RV Resort in Guntersville accommodates big rigs with full hookup sites and is open year-round, while 1776 RV And Campground in Mentone provides 14 gravel sites with full hookups and Wi-Fi service despite poor cell reception.

Navigation to some campgrounds requires careful planning as mountain roads may include sharp turns and elevation changes. Most RV parks in the region maintain sanitary dump stations, though availability varies by location. Cell service can be spotty, particularly at Cathedral Caverns State Park where one camper mentioned "very spotty cellphone service, which is actually nice if you want to enjoy the outdoors." Pets are generally permitted at all area campgrounds, though specific restrictions may apply. During peak seasons, especially fall when visitors come for foliage viewing, advance reservations are strongly recommended. Concrete pads are available at Buck's Pocket State Park, which recently reopened with newly remodeled sites, while most other parks feature gravel pull-through or back-in spaces.

      Boaz RV Park

Cheap rates, and a great location.

This is a small rv park located in Boaz Al, its just down the street from the Boaz police station so its nice and quiet. They don't have a lot of amenities like pools, or playgrounds but its great if you just need a cheap place to stay. As of this review its $20 a night for either a 30 or a 50 amp hookup along with water and sewer. The monthly rates are $400 for 30 amp sites and $500 for 50 amp sites.

Fairview Campground — Tims Ford State Park

      Camp by the Lake!

You can camp by the water at Tim’s Ford Lake. Some sites have full hook up’s up to 50 amp. Sewer hook up is not available at the water sites. We enjoy this campground. Great for kayaking and fishing. Family friendly.
35’ Fifth Wheel was a breeze at most sites, a couple sites may be tight.

Redstone Arsenal RV Park & Campground

      Nice Military FAMCAMP

The campground(CG) was easy to find for our mid-October stay. We exited off on 14A to gate 9 where we went through the gate and then did a u-turn to take us back down past the golf course to the CG. We had no problem doing the u-turn with our 40' fifth wheel. We followed the signage to the CG and then into pull-through site 21 with FHUs. There was no formal check-in, but our name and stay dates were on the site post. The pads here are huge and the utilities including 50 AMP worked well. We got 3 bars on Verizon and 2 bars on T-Mobile along with a large selection of OTA channels. We could have used satellite as there are no trees near the RV sites. They have a nice fenced dog park plus a shower and laundry facility with 4 machines each costing$1. The WiFi worked well for a CG this size. Use Gate 8 near the commissary and BX versus 9. Gate 8 gives you an easier drive to the campground. Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay.

      Battlefield Campground & RV Park

      Woodsy Wayside

Battlefield Campground is an extremely convenient RV park located right of I-75 about 20 minutes south of Chattanooga. It is very easy to get to, but part of that convenience comes with an absence of quiet; the interstate runs directly beside the campground, and is visible from the storage sites across from sites 11-24.

This is an excellent place for long-term campers, and it includes a nice playground, a pool, and a camp store/clubhouse. We could not get close to the pool or playground as they were closed due to COVID-19, which was comforting that they are taking public safety seriously. Sites include 50 and 30 amp full service, and seven tent sites in the middle of the campground that also include electric. There are seven camping cabins spaced throughout the campground that have outside picnic tables and grills, and beds inside as well as electricity.

Most of the sites here are nicely wooded, and as the area is slightly hilly there are elevation changes between several rows of sites which allows for a little more privacy than many RV parks offer.

Downsides to this park are the highway noise, and the campground roads are paved but in need of maintenance; the road is eroded in a lot of places.

Upsides are the sites are shady and well landscaped, and there are great amenities for families looking to stay here for extended periods of time, as well as the proximity to Chattanooga, Chickamauga Battlefield, and Ringold/Ft. Oglethorpe.

      Wills Creek RV Park

      Good Location

Quiet RV park close to Ft Payne and surrounding parks such as Desoto state Park. Close to Little River Canyon waterfall among others. (A must see). Sites at park very close together and our dually truck had to be parked sideways in front or back of site. One side of park is for long term stays while the other side is for up to two week stays. Other than that friendly check in and was able to have ups delivery. Available Sites are able to be chosen when get there.  Internet using Verizon (nomad) for work is only ok. My husband was able to work on conference calls ect but had one dropped call and while he was working I wasn’t able to use our internet. Evening hours when trying to stream sling was difficult to non existent the second week of our stay. Gave it 4 stars due to friendliness and ups delivery.

      Foster Falls Campground

Perfect for smaller rigs or tents

The Foster Falls campground has 26 rustic campsites ideal for tents or small trailers. The Foster Falls Campground is the only camping area in the park where guests may park a car and/or pop-ups next to the campsite. The campground is open year-round.

All sites have a fire ring and a picnic table. Most sites are wooded, offering some shade and have a level, gravel surface. A few are on a slight incline. There are no water or electric hook-ups but a restroom and heated showers are available. No gas generators are allowed at the Foster Falls Campground. Water must be filtered from natural sources or carried in, be sure to check with the ranger stations about water availability. A pit toilet is also available at each campground.

      Great Stay

Overall good stay. Little bit pricey. But the spots are nice. We pull a fifth wheel toy hauler. Had a pull thru spot with full hook up. Restroom/shower house close by that was very clean. Contactless check in. Online reservation. We brought our dogs along, and everybody had a dog here with them. You do have a little bit of yard in front of your camper but your neighbor is a little bit close. Close to Chattanooga and the sites. We did the zoo, aquarium and Rock City. Long weekend trip.

      Battlefield Campground & RV Park

      Convenient and functional

Battlefield Campground & RV park is locates right off the exit in Ringgold, Ga, right behind the Georgia Winery, so it is very close to Chattanooga. The campground seems to have a lot of long term guests, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing retreat to the woods. The sites are very close to each other, and most of them were full when we stayed. We were on site #69, right across from the pool. The Campground does have some nice amenities like the pool, and playground, dog park, and the pavilion, which I’m not sure what this space is used for, but it was nicely furnished and could be used to host a party or something. The restrooms were exceptionally clean! The bathhouse located in the pavilion was very nice. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient for us to get back and forth from Chattanooga, but I would only return out of necessity, as I prefer to be a little more secluded when I’m camping.

    Guide to Hollywood

Camping options near Hollywood, Alabama sit amid the Cumberland Plateau region, where elevations reach 1,900 feet in nearby mountainous areas. The area spans across northeastern Alabama's Jackson County with temperatures averaging 72°F from spring through fall. Most campgrounds provide year-round access with seasonal closures only during extreme winter conditions.

    What to do

Fishing at Tennessee River access points: Twin Creeks RV Resort offers direct water access with "views [that] are incredible. Perfectly positioned for amazing sunsets," according to camper Susan. The resort includes a boat ramp near the campsites with "pretty good fishing" as noted by Gary, making it convenient for anglers.

Visit Little River Canyon: A short drive from Little River RV Park & Campground takes you to dramatic waterfalls and hiking trails. "Little River Canyon does not allow any camping and therefore you are limited to either here or going a little further north to Desoto State Park," explains Asher K. The canyon features multiple lookout points along its scenic road.

Outdoor activities at Bigfoot Adventure: Located about 45 minutes from Hollywood, this area offers ziplines, disc golf, and hiking. "Fun stay fishing in the ponds. Didn't get a chance to zip line but looks like a blast. They seem to be adding things… disc golf maybe," reports Frank A. The park includes catch-and-release fishing ponds and walking trails.

    What campers like

Clean, spacious sites: RV parks near Hollywood, Alabama typically feature well-maintained facilities. At Wills Creek RV Park, camper Doug and Terri C. note "sites are level and easy to access." Another visitor, Meagan, highlights the "clean, friendly staff, huge spots" that make overnight stays comfortable.

Fast internet connectivity: Unusual for rural locations, several campgrounds offer reliable internet. At 1776 RV And Campground, Jason B. notes the "screaming fast internet! We work from home and the internet was so fast, people were amazed when I told them I was at a campground. We didn't even try to use our 5G system."

Convenient locations: Many sites provide easy access to attractions. Lisa M. appreciates 1776 RV And Campground's position "just outside downtown Mentone" with "lots of hiking trails within a short drive," making it a practical base for exploring the region.

    What you should know

Cell service limitations: While internet may be available at some campgrounds, cellular reception varies widely. At 1776 RV And Campground, Lisa J. warns "if you plan on using your cell up here...don't very poor signal but WiFi works great all over the park."

Site conditions vary: Most RV parks feature gravel sites with varying levels of maintenance. At Battlefield Campground & RV Park, campers note the campground roads are "paved but in need of maintenance; the road is eroded in a lot of places."

Highway noise considerations: Several campgrounds sit near major roads. Battlefield Campground is "located right off I-75" which means "part of that convenience comes with an absence of quiet; the interstate runs directly beside the campground," according to Stephanie J.

    Tips for camping with families

Pool amenities: Several campgrounds offer swimming options for kids. Battlefield Campground features "a nice playground, a pool, and a camp store/clubhouse," making it suitable for families staying extended periods.

Kid-friendly activities: Look for campgrounds with recreational facilities. At Bigfoot Adventure RV Park, Kayla L. reports a "great experience for kids. Wonderful views and lots of open space to play in fields and walk. Kids can also zip line!"

Playground access: Georgia Mountain RV Resort provides family amenities including "a small game room that has a pool table and other activities," according to John T., who adds that the surrounding area "is beautiful and has just about everything you would need nearby."

    Tips from RVers

Hookup locations: Pay attention to utility placement when setting up. At Twin Creeks RV Resort, Gary notes "electric and water hookups are on left side of campsite," which may require additional hose or cord length depending on your RV setup.

Leveling considerations: Many sites require adjustment for comfortable parking. At Wills Creek RV Park, Randy G. mentions sites "weren't particularly level, all gravel" requiring leveling blocks or jacks for stabilization.

Arrival planning: RV parks in the Hollywood area have varying check-in procedures. At Redstone Arsenal RV Park, MickandKarla W. explain "there was no formal check-in, but our name and stay dates were on the site post," suggesting campers should confirm reservation details before arrival.
