It’s been a huge summer for camping.
We started the summer with one mission: get campground reviews, and make it possible to know what a campground is like before you get there.
Since June 1st, the results have been amazing: we’ve received over 30,000 submissions in just 120 days! We are now the fastest growing user-generated campground review platform on the Internet.
In the same 120 days, our social following grew from 1,200 to nearly 20,000, and between our campsites, our new adventure travel directory, and our new blog, we had almost 700,000 pageviews in the past 30 days.
What’s Ahead
Our users are phone users, and they are young: 28% are ages 18–24, 34% are 25–34, and 16% are 35–44.
Over 42% of our users submitted reviews via a mobile device, and based on customer surveys the jury is in: the people want a mobile app.
In addition to adding features, we will have The Dyrt app in app stores for the 2017 camping season.
Together, we’re ending the pain of finding a campsite online.
We couldn’t have done this without all the brands who share our mission and contributed $100,000 in prizes.
