It’s day 40, the last day of our 40-day #GetOutAndGO project! Today we’re featuring Diamond Head, HI and SylvanSport is giving away a $100 self-inflating camping mattress to celebrate. Enter to win here.
Known for its out-of-this-world waves, the hiking on the island of Oahu, Hawai’i is often overlooked. But just miles from the iconic surf breaks of the south shore is Diamond Head.
Hike to the top for some of the most incredible views you can get of the island.
Diamond Head is a truly mesmerizing volcanic landmark formed from hundreds of years of volcanic activity.
Thanks to year after year of tectonic plate shifts and volcanic activity pushing up above the ocean’s surface, we’re left with an amazing hike and crater to explore.
It goes without saying that Oahu is an outdoors paradise:
That said, if you’re going to travel to Hawai’i, make sure to keep your impact in mind. The islands are flooded with tourists every year who pay no heed to the fact that this is many peoples’ home, and that their footsteps have an impact on the ecosystem around them. The Dyrt campers are champions of Leave No Trace, of course, so this should be a needless reminder 😉
SylvanSport is giving away the final hurrah prize: a self-inflating camping mattress. Enter to win here.
