Getting to Ranger Creek requires some planning. Access via Red Grade Road from the east side is rocky and steep, and low-clearance vehicles may struggle on the climb. The road improves heading west, where campground density increases. Ranger Creek sits within Bighorn National Forest, open from late May through mid-September, with drinking water and toilets on site. RVs up to 50 feet are accommodated. Nearby, East Fork offers an alternative 0.6 miles southeast. Wildlife is commonly spotted along the access roads, and ATV trails run through the surrounding area.
