Greentrees Crazy Woman Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Greentrees Crazy Woman Campground sits in the middle of Gillette, Wyoming, backed up against a hospital parking garage on one side and a main road on the other. The urban setting is immediately apparent, and tent campers should know the hospital's lights are intense enough to read by at night, though RV campers report the glow is less of an issue inside a rig. Spaces are small and tight, and some sites appear to house long-term residents year-round.

That said, reviewers consistently flag the facilities as clean, and the campground includes full hookups for RVs up to 60 feet, a dump station, WiFi, hot showers, and laundry. Nicole B. notes the "bathroom facilities were clean," and multiple campers mention the staff as flexible and accommodating, including for late arrivals. Shaded sites are available; site C5 is noted as level and well-shaded.

A few practical details worth knowing before arrival: the campground is cash only and does not accept credit or debit cards. Tent campers at sites near the parking garage have reported ant activity on the ground. Noise levels at night have run quieter than the location might suggest, though the lighting situation is a consistent trade-off. Campers looking at campsites near Gillette will find this one among the most full-service in the area. It makes the most sense for RV travelers needing hookups or an overnight stop with access to town amenities.

Many campers appreciated the clean facilities including gym, laundry and hot showers, plus helpful staff. However, sites are tight with some light/noise issues near the hospital, though quieter than expected for the location.

Quiet night

The staff were very friendly and facilities were clean. Stayed in C5 which was mostly level and very shady. Well away from the highway and was a quiet night.

Surprisingly quiet

Nestled behind a hospital and just off a main road thru town, I expected more noise--but it was really quiet. There are some bright lights from the hospital parking garage but those didn't bother me in a camper. **NOTE: CASH ONLY. They don't take credit or debit card **

Not good for Tents

This campground is in town and backs up to a hospital. All the tent sights are about 50' from the parking garage. It was so we'll lit I could have read a book without a flashlight. It was hot but we had to leave our rain fly on just to block the light. When we got up the next morning we realized the ground was covered in ants. LOTS of ants. All over our tent. The pull in sites looked nice, the showers were HOT, clean and free. Check in was easy.

Awesome Spot!

This campground is wonderful. It’s reasonably priced and has a gym, laundry, and showers! We got a tent site. Everyone else staying was very friendly. Bathroom facilities were clean. Laundry was great. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back if I find myself in Gilette again!
