Bayfield County Big Rock Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Fishing a trout stream is the main draw at Bayfield County Big Rock Campground, where wooded sites sit directly on the banks of moving water within the South Shore Lake Superior Fish and Wildlife Area. The Wisconsin DNR manages the site, which has electric and sewer hookups, a dump station, and firewood available. Sites run small and corners are tight on the access roads, so large rigs should look elsewhere. Big Rock Campground sits just to the north. Reservations are available, and pets are permitted. Book early, as the campground has grown busier in recent years.

Small and Quiet

Has gotten busier over the past few years. Nice wooded sites on the banks of a trout stream. Not for Big rigs as corners are tight and most sites rather small. Great for tenters and small campers. Pit toilets were clean and stocked.
