hidden gem near Seattle

We have made 2 trips to Blue Lake Resort during 2021 year. The place is quite serene and beautiful. I highly recommend staying in the dome with lake view. The morning and evening views are spectacular. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. Free kayak and paddle board was…

Sun Lakes Dry Falls State Park ROCKS!

Amazing geology of Volcanic and Glacial flooding surrounds this very large and fun campground.

Lots of tent sites with plenty of RV sites too.

Tent camping

I enjoyed everything about the place. Had showers in the bathrooms. Decks out to the water. Clean and beautiful scenery and atmosphere.

One of my favorites

I stay here at least twice a year for a week at a time. The lake is very refreshing on a 100 degree day. The old western town of Winthrop is only a couple miles away. There’s around a dozen campsites right on the lake with your very own private beach access. No hook ups on the beachfront sites, but…

Great for Family with kids

Looking for a mini resort with activities for kids? This might fit the bill. We met our daughter and our Grandkids for a four day trip I. Our RV’s. Personally l, not I or my daughter would normally stay at an RV Park. We prefer disbursed or boondocking. This review takes that into account.

All of…

Great campsite

The way up to the campsite was a bit rough, and as you’d think there is no service. But the campsite itself was very nice. I believe it was $12 a night and the campsite was pretty huge. The upper section was nice, but we stayed right by the lake in the lower area. Nobody actually stayed the night…

Dirt parking lot

This is just a large gravel parking lot off the side of the highway. Next to a river though so not bad if you wanted to bathe or swim in the morning. Also has a vault bathroom. Wind got pretty bad during the night but not enough to keep us from sleeping. Served our purpose well as we are headed up…

Decently Spaced

The campground for being Thousand Trails was pleasant. We were able to find a spot easily enough. Our issue was finding availability for us and our daughter arriving the next day. The full hookup sites are close together and not great IMHO. We settled for the spore in the Lakeview area. This area…

Cute and Nice People

The spots were solid dirt and our site was on top of the one next to us. It would have been better suited for a smaller rig (we were in a thirty foot trailer). The lake was actually a pond and was so scummy I wouldn’t let our kids swim in it. The dog park was a nice touch and lots of fun sitting…

Second time was not the charm

I was so excited to visit the campground again, but when I showed up I heard the words “we have new ownership” uh oh… the park was still the same with amazing water access, great boat launch area and lots of cabins for those not wanting to commit to a full camper set up. The newest verbiage that…

Dirty and Dusty

Though they are working really hard on cleaning up the grounds and buildings, it’s still really dirty and dusty. Our campsite had no less than 100 cigarette butts in it when we arrived. The lake access is choked with weeds and muck except in the designated swimming area which was clear. The manager…
