  Thousand Trails Leavenworth

  Decently Spaced

  The campground for being Thousand Trails was pleasant. We were able to find a spot easily enough. Our issue was finding availability for us and our daughter arriving the next day. The full hookup sites are close together and not great IMHO. We settled for the spore in the Lakeview area. This area of the campground will accommodate up to 22’ RV’s. Water and 110 electric. Quite dusty but it worked. The lake is nice, the trails around the grounds are fun. For the grandkids there is a lot to do and that was the draw for us this time. We prefer disbursed off grid most of the time to this type of campground.

  Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park Campground

  Beautiful park!

  This is a beautiful, very well maintained park. Park is literally right off of I-90 near Vantage! RV spots don’t have much privacy, but the spots are huge! Full hookups, good cell phone coverage! Nice swimming area(kind of a walk from RV spaces). Every time we have stayed here it has been pretty windy….we are still drawn back, tho!

  There aren’t that many hookups so if you’re looking for full service make sure you do your research. Excellent RV resort. Might want to go alternate route and not Chumstick

  Thousand Trails Crescent Bar

  Great location with awesome views of the Columbia River Valley

  Great location with awesome views of the Columbia River Valley. Well maintained grounds and amenities for a Thousand Trails campground. Awesome and accommodating staff.  There is a walking path that you can access easily from the campground that goes to the end of Crescent Bar.

  Lake Chelan State Park Campground

  Waterfront Camping on popular Lake Chelan

  This is a great park and a premium camping location on the popular Lake Chelan. A favorite location for west siders to escape the rain for some guaranteed sunshine in Central Washington.

  This little town fills up in the summer time. The lake is filled with boats and all of the hotels and rentals sell out. This campground is a wonderful place to enjoy the area and set up camp. The campground is fantastic and still goes for dirt cheap rates of $12 for a tent site, they also offer full hook ups for RVs and everything in between if you want an outlet at your camp site.

  Good news.. you can reserve your spot in advance. Bad news... the summer months fill up a year in advance so book early. I also recommend going in Spring or Fall when the weather is still warm and dry but there are slightly less crowds.

  We stayed in site 65 on the marina and beach loop. I definitely recommend this area over the west loop.

  Pateros City Park

  Barely a Campground

  It just has picnic benches on gravel patches and a small field before the lake. No swimming allowed on this part of the lake. No shade. Free for peddlers and paddlers so I stayed for free. Has some rv hookups too. Hard to find as there's no signs showing the way. Just go to the park by the lake and then go north along the lake and you'll get to it. Only reason it has 2 stars is cause it had a shower and I didn't have to pay.

  Thousand Trails Leavenworth

  Great for Family with kids

  Looking for a mini resort with activities for kids? This might fit the bill. We met our daughter and our Grandkids for a four day trip I. Our RV’s. Personally l, not I or my daughter would normally stay at an RV Park. We prefer disbursed or boondocking. This review takes that into account.

  All of the full hookups were close together, not private and crowded. We elected for the Water 110 electric hook up. The site was dusty, and the spaces somewhat spread apart. No real privacy. For the kids the pool, lake, miniature golf, game room etc. was fun. The campground is about 30 minutes from Levenworth. The girls all wen shopping in town and had a great time. It’s a nice Barivian village. My grandson and I found a forest road and went wheeling. We had a great time.

  Smokiam RV Resort

  Great Park!

  I usually HATE RV resorts due to the fact that many people do not honor quiet hours, the sites are too small, and the grounds are unkept. This was not the case for Smokiam. The sites are a great size and COVID precautions were greatly taken (temp checks every day). The employees also walk the sites frequently. Downside - the lake by the resort is very muddy so we had to go elsewhere to swim (but there are plenty of local spots). Also, internet and cell service was poor. However, I absolutely loved staying here and plan to come back next year!

  Alta Lake State Park Campground

  Lake views and clean restrooms

  We camped here in early October on Friday night. Only the lower loop was available. Our site was a standard one with no hookups. It cost $25 in the off season. There is a trail to the beach but not much of interest. There is a day use area if you want to swim or launch a boat.

  We camped here because my grandparents used to camp and fish here.

  It was quiet even though there were some private homes nearby

  There were full hook up sites for the larger RVs so we didn’t have the sound of generators to bother us.

  Too much fun in the sun

  The campground was very clean and parking a 25 ft trailer was easy. Many camping spots for trailers. Camp fill up quickly. Quiet place. Large camping spots. Clean toilets. Creek and river access from campground.

  Lake Easton State Park Campground

  Great Spot to Camp!

  My wife and I stayed in a full hook-up spot (#12) with our travel trailer. The site was clean, close to the lake, and had an additional spot to put a tent if needed. It’s pretty close to the freeway (there was a lot of car noise), but I would definitely return again! Cellphone signal (with Verizon) worked well, but there was no tv antenna reception if that’s something you need!

  Wenatchee River County Park

  Beautiful Park

  Very well maintained and beautiful setting. Full hook ups, right on the Wenatchee River with easy access and a few sand beaches. Great place for paddle boarding or just floating in the cool water. Friendly and helpful staff. We will be staying again for sure.

  Vantage Riverstone Resort Campground

  Beautiful location on the Columbia river

  Location has trees, grass, picnic tables, full hook ups, basic and premium rates, showers(3 minutes hot water for .50, buy 2 tokens at a pop, you can walk down to the river. It has a boat ramp and 30+spots large and small.

  Big nice full hook up developed campground. Upper loop is more sage brushy & less manicured lawn than the lower loop. Great views and pretty private spots. If there is a concert at the Gorge don’t even try here as it will be a full party palace. Can be very windy.

  Daroga State Park Campground

  Great Visit

  If you are staying in one of the RV sites it has water and power hook ups. Our stay was great, the only unpleasant part of the trip was the automatic sprinkler system coming on Monday-Friday for 30 minutes at each site. We had to almost pack everything up into the trailer each day and then pull it all back out if you did not want to get completely wet. On the plus side it makes the grass really nice and you can walk around barefoot most of the time. Also plan on it being windy during your stay as you are on the river and it is unavoidable. If you are tent camping and do not get one of the RV spots then it is almost a 1/2 mile hike out to the peninsula for your camp site. They do provide carts, but I would plan on bringing a wagon of your own for the many trips back and forth. Overall it is a great park with lots of activities and really wide open RV spaces with plenty of room. Would definitely go back!!

  Whistlin' Jack's Outpost & Lodge

  Clean, friendly and expensive!

  We stayed here during a couple of days of high heat and needed to plug in and replenish water. We have a 16ft Airstream and stayed in RV site 2. The site was too small for our trailer and the picnic table was wedged between a fire pit and two huge rocks so unusable. There was a total fire ban and the fire pit was not in use but was full of cigarette butts. For $70 per night I would expect a cleaner and better site. We had full hook ups which was nice but no privacy and no shade. It feels like the RV sites are an afterthought here. I wouldn’t recommend. The WiFi was “free” but unreliable and every single time I logged in I had to go through a Free Trial log in. It was really annoying. Access to the Naches River was easy and the fly fishing was glorious and the swimming was great!!

  Beautiful

  Nice campground on the Columbia River where it meets the Wenatchee River. Boat Launch, RV parking and hookups, nice trails, roped off swimming area for children, nice grassy play areas.

  2. My wife and I started full timing in our RV three years ago and have stayed at many RV parks during that time. Yakima River RV Park is one that is special to us. It's located on the Yakima River near Ellensburg Washington. It is a small privately owned park in a beautiful valley. The park is great for self-contained RV's and it does offer some dry camping sites. Due to the park being on a flood-plain there are limited FHU sites available for a minimum 2 day stay. WiFi is free and relatively strong. The grounds are carefully maintained with grass and trees between the spacious sites. Sites can accommodate RV's up to 60ft. and are pull through. Overflow parking is available for your toad or cargo trailer. If you are looking for a quiet overnight stay or longer, this is for you. Oh, you may occasionally hear the baying of the rodeo bulls in the pasture next to the park

  Already planning return trip

  This is a smaller spaced out campground.  It's on the southFork of the Snoqualmie River and the water level varies with the season. There is plenty of access points to the river.

  The campground has hook ups for RVs and trailers and a group site, which was in an area by itself, super convenient for big groups. There is a host on site and an info center and the center of the camp ground.  Each site has a picnic bench and a fire pit with grate. A few of the RV sites are pull through making parking very easy. Franklin Falls is very close, a short drive or longer walk. Didn't go this time, but will next trip.

  The camp ground was sold out when we went, so get your reservations in early, don’t count on walk in. On the drive in there are many shots to dead out camp though.

  Icicle River RV Resort

  An amazing experience on the river.

  This RV park just 10 minutes outside of Leavenworth, is an amazing stay. Excellent hospitality, bathrooms and showers available. And the views on the river are un paralleled.

  Close to great hikes

  Hiking in the Leavenworth area is amazing! Colchuck Lake is incredible, and I would highly recommend doing this one. This RV Park was great. My family brought our RV and we stayed here for 3 nights. We decided to stay here instead of a tent site because we wanted more room for everyone, a place to cook and fridge...so we brought our RV. We hiked Colchuck in the morning, and had lunch at the lake. It was perfect. The RV Park was good, but super busy. We went during the summer so we expected it to be busy. We went online and reserved a spot so I’d recommend them too. We stopped by the grocery store in Leavenworth to get some food and snacks for the weekend. There is also a great hamburger place in Leavenworth that we love to go too!!

  Camp here for free for 7 days with a discover pass! 2 pit toilets, fire ring and picnic table at each site. Big areas for RVs, horse trailers and group sites. No water hook ups or dump stations. River access and lots of trails for nature walks. Very beautiful area! I had phone service and I use Sprint.

  Great Find near Leavenworth

  Very nice well kept RV Park near the Bavarian town of Leavenworth. They have a well stocked store on site with laundry. Take in one of several musicals that play throughout the summer. Make sure and see and hear the alpenhorn played daily at noon in downtown Leavenworth.

  You have to purchase a day pass just to fill up some water if you’re passing through. Was the only place with water in Leavenworth during December. Supply and demand! Seems like a nice RV park to stay the night though. Wish they would charge less just for a water fill up. More around $5.

  Thousand Trails Crescent Bar

  Great Location, not a great park.

  We visited in late June of 2024. Crescent Bar is a nice little community and the PUD park is beautiful. T.T. RV park was not in great shape. Sprinklers were busted in most of the park which created unpleasant dust storms. There are porta potties for the pool area and down the hill at the bathroom/shower you will find rotting interior walls and valves held together with copious layers of silicone. Fortunately for us this was just a stop over location while crossing Washington.
