Cabin Creek Dispersed Camping

Found a cool site closer to the water when a random tweaker came through our site from his site down the hill with a whole ass machete cutting through some greenery then came back with a buddy while we were down by the river filling our water and rinsing off in our swimsuits STILL WITH THE MACHETE IN HAND and starts hollering to scare us off so they could fish??? If you wanted the spot near the river to fish just use that spot and not come through someone else's and scare them off. Be careful if you come here bc he seemed like he's been here before and likes to frequent this site

The area is incredibly quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. If you're heading out here, I highly encourage continuing past the main entrance spots and pushing a little farther down the road/trail. Camping closer to the water makes for an even better experience—waking up next to the river sound and scenery is well worth the extra bit of effort. Great dispersed location for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature!

There is a large gravel parking area immediately off the road. We drove a bit further back to see what we could find with more privacy and found a great spot that would be large enough for a few tents. We walked around and found a narrow path you could drive further into the spot and there were probably another 4 spots further back. There was trash in the site next to us but we didnt have any room in the car to pick it all up. We planned to stay for 3 days and 2 nights but it was pouring down raining the entire time. The rain finally let up for about an hour and the sun came out, but it was still cold enough we could see our breath so we packed up and went home.

This is a large are perfect for a group. There is a large firepit in the middle and plenty of trees for those who may opt for hammocks. We found it clean and left it clean.

It was a really nice spot but we left early because an old man took a picture of our campsite in a very rushed matter, making us feel uneasy so we left a couple hrs later we stayed here 2 days and slept good we were upset that we needed to leave so soon

This camping area consists of a large gravel parking area very near 90’s on ramps, another pretty large gravel parking area slightly further back from the road, and then a gravel road that leads back to a few camping spots that are still noisy from the road, but at least in the trees. Good Verizon signal. First true camp site was taken by a couple of RVs, and they kinda looked like they could have been there quite a while. Found another site with a fire pit. Fair amount of trash. Overall, good for a night and free!
