North Beach Campground

It’s basically a public park with beach access. The views on the beach are absolutely beautiful. No frills sites.

Nothing fancy but great location. The campground is right on the bike path and very close to Burlington.

Great spot near the lake to put up a tent for the night. Very safe and super close to town. Seemed really popular and a little loud until around 11. If you’re a light sleeper then consider bringing some ear plugs.

Could be nice, but my bike was stolen at 3 am (it was locked) and two others the previous night. Needless to say, I have a low opinion of this campground

Lake Champlain, Burlington, the bike path, breathtaking panoramic layered mountain views across the lake, clean and clear water, a beautiful beach with great amenities.... the campground is in an unbeatable location. Our site (108), site 95, and the row of full hookups are the only ones with any significant space or privacy. This is one of the most beautiful and scenic areas in the world ( I have seen a lot of places). The campground is ok, but it is only a place to sleep. So much to do and see here. Loved it.

I’ve camped in all sorts of places and can usually roll with about anything, but after looking around this place we went elsewhere and just forfeited our reservation.

Dirty, unkempt, open drug use, loud music - it felt like a homeless camp.

Hard pass.

This campground is well maintained, comfortable and clean. A very short and easy drive right outside of Burlington, with direct access to the greenway along the lakefront. Awesome spots in the city waterfront are only about a mile walk\bikeride away, but the campground is far enough outside of town to feel quiet and peaceful. Only downside is a lack of privacy between spots, they are close together and not a lot of trees or other coverage.

I have a 24’ RV towing a 30 foot trailer for perspective. I easily fit in site 107 and lots of other sites would have worked. They have a place to drop trailers if you don’t fit.

Sites 90 to 108 are best. Spaced out under trees.

Sites 1 to 16 are close to each other.

Sites 113 to 119 are bad. Very close to each other. No redeeming qualities.

Sites have 30 amp electric and water but might need a longish cord or hose. Clean easy to use dump with water.

Tent sites looked nice.

Short walk to nice beach or you can drive a car. Short tunnel so no campers or bikes on the roof.

Right next to rails to trails path that goes onto a causeway over the lake. There is a bike ferry to keep going. Nice ride.

Nice dog park 3/4 miles to the South on the trail.

Far away from noise. Can’t comment on loud campers.

Excellent location due to proximity to north beach that offers beautiful views of the Adirondacks across Lake Champlain. The campground is adjacent to paved Burlington bike / walking trail with easy access to the trail and beach. The only sites with electric are RV sites that are packed in more than we prefer. Bath rooms are ok, but showers need deep cleaning or replacement. Bath house is vented but not heated so it’s rather cold in October. Hot water is just warm.

Sites are extremely close together. Within 15 minutes of pulling in we had a drunk man swearing at us and our children from the lawn of the camp ground. Not sure if he was camping there or wandered off the beach but the campground staff did nothing about it.

This place is perfect if you’re just looking to explore Burlington. It’s right on the bike path (bring a bike) and about a 10-20 min bike ride to anywhere in the city, even the farthest away breweries. Super accessible. The campsite itself is more just a piece of land with tents, RVs, car camping etc. - not very wooded or scenic and not much privacy or space between sites - but I wouldn’t let it deter me from staying. Bath house is a quick walk. Definitely a lively vs. quieter campground.

Sure you are right next to everyone else, but when visiting Burlington, this is the place to be. Right on the bike/walking path to the city, as well as a city bus stop at the top of the road. Standard bathrooms and showers. Also the beach! My only complaint is that it gets full very quickly so definitely plan ahead if you want a summer/fall weekend.

We stayed in two of the three lean-tos over the weekend in August 2019. The third was vacant. The lean tos were right next to the large RVs and full hook up campers. Our group camped both inside the lean tos and in pitched tents.

It was pretty loud because we were by the huge RVs and camper vehicles, we were by the main road too which contributed to the noise.

It’s in a great location near the beach and we had a very nice 30 minute walk into downtown Burlington. For that convenience the site was in an ideal location! Overall it felt pretty safe even though the sites felt close to one another

My husband and I stayed here in our popup in June 2018. It was nice to be so close to the city and we were able to ride our bikes everywhere easily. The sites were all very open and close together, and the bathhouses could have used a good scrub, but overall it was an acceptable place given its proximity to the city. Don't bother buying the firewood from the main office, it was not seasoned and impossible to use.

Great location. A good place for families.

Since this campground is withing Burlington city limits it is a bit cramped and can get crowded. However it's location makes it convenient too. Plus it's right on Lake Champlain with great beach access.

Place was amazing! Had perfect spots with 5 other families we were all together. Short walk to beach, bike path into Burlington which was such a cool town! There’s a skate park & lots to do. We took a huge ferry around lake Champlain which was so cool. Kids loved it! The lake is so beautiful with the mountains in the background. You couldn’t ask for a better view. Loved our vacation here!

This place has an amazing Beach area and is really well manicured with great walking paths and boardwalks. However, they do pack you in like sardines here. We camp in a 20 foot camper van and we felt large and bulky trying to get into our spot. At $41 a night it's not incredibly cheap, but it is a great location if you want to explore Burlington.

bring your bikes! you’re tucked away in the woods on gorgeous lake champlain and can bike into burlington for meals and city street strolls. it’s great!

This has been one of our favorite campsites so far. We loved being able to walk down to the beach, as well as having full hookups. We also met the nicest people here. You can purchase firewood at the office, and there are also propane options. It was peaceful here yet also a fun place.

We stay every year for the Vermont City Marathon. It is a convenient bike ride down the bike path to the waterside park. Easy access to all of Burlington by bike. Reasonable price for campsites and the sites are large. Staff are always friendly.

Smaller tent sites. One centrally located bathroom. Nice mix of sun and shade. Convenient to down town and waterfront. Beach is beautiful and conveniently close to sites.

Right on the Burlington bike path and across the beach, there is plenty to do and easy access to town and other attractions. Other than the beach itself, this is not a resort campground but it is in an outdoor paradise with plenty to do in the area. Bathrooms were more than acceptable

Burlington is my favorite city by far, and this campground is right on the beach! You get the best of both worlds at this location. Biking into Burlington takes 5-10 minutes and you're also right on the beach of Lake Champlain. Take your kayaks paddle boards or whatever you have and enjoy the lake! A gorgeous bike trail also runs right through the campground. It satisfies all tastes :) Highly recommended

This camp ground can be crowded but it is right near Church street, and the beach is very well maintained, there are life guards on duty at the beach and a playground and grills (claim them early if you want them)

Burlington, VT is one of my favorite towns on the east coast. Camping at North Beach is a great experience if you want quick access to the water, and dot not mind the close proximity of others.
