This is a smaller COE campground than most we have stayed at, which is nice in a way. The playground and beach were never crowded, and it was pretty quiet with the exception of the boat traffic. The campground is right next to a public boat ramp, beach, marina, and restaurant. It's super convenient but not as quiet as some other COE places. We loved it because we brought our boat and tied it up by our site. The sites are not huge but plenty big, and there are many great waterfront spots. Ours was nice for swimming with clean water and a nice drop-off. It is a mixed bag in terms of privacy. While there was plenty of space between us and our neighbors, the sites were laid out so that even with our campers hooked up, we could always see each other. Took away slightly from the experience, but it was still a very fun place. We will go back next summer. I think that 22 is the best spot, followed by the waterfront pull-through spots on the cove.

Gorgeous lake with no sign of civilization across from the campground. We swam right from our site and loved it. The sites are enormous, private, and provide panoramic lake views. Ours was perfect. Nice beach, playground, and everything well kept. I would imagine that on weekends the boat traffic might be slightly loud but on this Monday it was so peaceful and quiet. The site has a fire ring with grill, a standing grill, a picnic table, and a prep table. Again, the site is enormous. Great value at $32!!!

What a beautiful place. Stayed the weekend and hit almost all of the trails, saw 4 waterfalls and so many amazing rock formations. There are three trailheads that leave directly from the campground, which is a well-kept and clean place with well spaced sites. The upper loop is on a hill, but the sites are spaced out slightly more than the lower loop. The lower loop was more level and a bit newer. The best sites are in the 60s on the outer part of the lower loop. Just a wonderful place to spend a weekend.

This place is immaculate. The sites are quite large compared to Loves RV stop- at least double the size. The entire place is smoothly paved except for the nice patches of grass attached to each site. The check in is easy and it feels very safe inside the gates. It is a very short walk to food and convenience. Our boys enjoyed riding scooters and playing tag. As the name suggests, this is the perfect overnight spot when you are on your way to or from Florida. Booking is easy. It's a great place to walk around and admire all the fancy RVs as well!

Such a beautiful and clean campground. Our "Premium Meadows" site was huge, directly across the street from the trading post and pool, and backed up to a trail. Classy neighbors and very quiet. Amazing value to be in the middle of Disney for $130/night. A short golf cart ride to the Magic Kingdom ferry, and a similarly short ride to the buses to other parks. Definitely recommend the golf cart rental- so much easier and more fun than waiting for buses. The Hoop Dee Doo was awesome- a ton of food and pretty funny. Both pools were super clean and not crowded- open late too which was fun. This campground is so nicely wooded and full of paths. We can't wait to return.

The sites are spaced perfectly, the forest is beautiful, and the creek is super clear and clean. Our site (44) is great, right by the trail and creek. Super nice hosts and everyone we met was friendly. Very quiet place. No playground or extras, but our boys didn't mind- the creek was great and the whole place is paved so it was great for scooters. It's a 3/4 mile loop around the campground. Great place!

Gorgeous river and waterfall and peaceful surroundings. The tube ride down was fun! The river had some algae and didn't seem as clean as i would hope a mountian river would be. Some of the guests were kinda rednecky for lack of a better word, making me feel not totally at ease. The staff were very nice and the heated pool was great. Oh yeah and.. bunnies everywhere! Two playgrounds and a fishing pond. Great place for kids to have fun. Our site had no shade, but was almost directly on the river, huge, and level. A mixed bag, but overall we enjoyed our stop here.

Waterpark- awesome and really makes the whole park. Lazy river is so fun and our 6 year old did the tunnel waterslides like 100 times. Very clean and well run even if crowded. Mini golf- very nice and included in price. The jumping pillow and playgrounds were also good and there was a lively game of kickball being played in the evening. The pull through sites closest to the pool and jumping pillow are by far the best. We stayed on Bear Trail and had the whole place to ourselves, which was awesome, but the sites are not real level or spaced out, so we just got lucky. The whole place is festive and kind of feels like a theme park- magical for kids. We enjoyed it.

Electric only, no water hookups. Small but very pretty lake with clean water and a nice paved path encircling it. The sites are spaced pretty well but are not level at all. It was an effort to get our travel trailer close to level- a ramp of blocks was needed. The site was right on the path, which is right on the lake. Very convenient if you are going paddling. The beach was clean and overall the place was well kept. They just need to level the sites a bit. Nice hills and trails surrounding. You could hear I-81 but not too loud. We liked this campground and would have stayed longer but were just passing through.

Location- 4 stars- close to NYC but kinda just in the woods and close to homes, not much around.

Sites- 4 stars- a real mixed bag- the rv/trailer only section is really nice, wooded. Has a classic campground feel. The other tent/cabin side was loud and not private. Ours is really great- very woodsy and private, close to amenities.

Staff- 5 stars. Friendly and helpful.

Camping Clientele- 4- a real mixed bag here too.

Amenities- 4 stars. Two pools but both were overcrowded. Playground was large and in decent condition. Mini golf looked pretty small and basic. Jumping pad was under construction and closed, oh well.

Pleasant place overall. Worked well for us as a one night stop. Kids really enjoyed it.

After paying 240 bucks for two nights and then driving on a bumpy gravel road and into a small and not very flat gravel site with closer neighbors than most state parks, I was thinking that this place was going to be my first 3 star review. Buuuuuuttttt…… then we drove 1.5 miles to Goose Rocks Beach and my kids and I enjoyed one of the best beaches I have ever experienced. Absolutely perfect beach. Then we drove past the Bush Compound and downtown into Kennebunkport. Absolutely gorgeous. Then we got back to the campground and my kids and I took our paddleboards into the salt marsh directly from the campground. Stunningly clear salt water and breathtaking scenery. This campground is all about its location, and it's location is off the charts. Don't get me wrong, the campground is nice, but just not $120/night nice. There are two playgrounds, a pool, bocce court, smashball, The restrooms are clean and plentiful. The sites are closer together and less private than I would have hoped for (though ours was better than most), and I would definitely expect paved roads for the price. That being said, this was one of our favorite places ever. Would definitely come back. After touring the campground, the salt marsh loop is by far the best and most scenic. It is mostly glamping tents down there, but there were several open sites with water and electric right on the marsh, and i wondered why those weren't an option when I booked. The seasonal sites were well kept and the clientele here overall were classy.

Large sites, great stone fire rings, full hookups, huge pool, waterslides, splash pad, playground, great camp store… this place brings a lot to the table for a very fair price of 60 bucks. There is a large seasonal camper section in the back, most are really well done, a few bad apples but overall nice. The front camping section is very pleasant and well spaced out. We had a lot of fun here.

Very nice forest! The campground is clean, paved nicely and well run. Our site is easily the nicest- all the way in the back with only one neighbor. It is so quiet here. No amenities or extras here, just really pleasant camping in the woods. There are some nice trails around rhe campground as well, but we only stopped for a night so didn't venture too far. There are a lot of bear warnings here so that gave us a bit of pause with our three little boys. The sites are spaced well and have a nice bonus of large fire rings set back in the woods a bit from the pad that you park on. The water hoses provided are plenty long. We didn't need to use our hose at all, just the filter. If you want to decompress and get out in the woods, this is a great spot.

This campground was wonderful for our family of 5 with 6. 4 and 2 year old boys. The setting is wooded with great shade and a very peaceful pond backdrop. We stayed in loop A, and found that A and B loops are the place to be if you have young children- the playground is awesome and is sandwiched between them. The loops get progressively quieter as you go towards E. All sites are great, but the best ones are definitely the ones closest to the pond. We really enjoyed the pontoon boat ride- this is definitely not a typical pond! The cypress trees are stunning and the history there alone is definitely worth the price of admission, not to mention the otherworldly narrow passages through cypress swaps and all kinds of wildlife on display. The trail around the campground goes through nice pine forests and crosses the swampland and pond. It is smooth stone dust, great for foot travel or any kind of biking. The sites are not huge but spaced well. Important to note- this pond is NOT for swimming. Very shallow and lots of trees just under the surface. If you are kid free or have older kids, they have kayaks for rent and I would highly recommend taking a paddle across the pond and deep into the water trails through the cypress forest. Magical. The camp store is fantastic. The sites are dirt/grass and not full hookup, but they have two dumpstations on the way out. Our site was nice because it had trail access and only one neighbor. Be forewarned that there are ticks here, the tiny dangerous kind…. we found some on us, so just check thoroughly. Overall a great place!

Awesome coastal campground. Total diamond in the rough here. Very few bad sites- almost every one I saw was under a canopy of live oaks and pines. Ours was great- very large and private due to mounds and trees. Great live oaks for kids to climb on! The beach is beautiful and very kid friendly- a short walk from any campsite. Huge network of trails and close proximity to Virginia Beach and anything you might need. Definitely could spend weeks here and be happy. Only detractor was naval jets that kinda sounded like thunder from nearby base. Not a big issue. I would definitely book as close to the dunes/bay as possible with your site so that you can't hear road noise from route 60. Ours was perfect. Very cool campground.

Just stopped for one day/night on the way through, and I am amazed with this place. All three loops have great sites. Our site is fantastic, really large and overlooking the lake. The path to the fishing dock goes right by our site, giving great access to the lake. Cool rocks along the lake to climb on and swim off of. There are nice trails winding through the campground, a large sandy beach, and several playgrounds. Lots to do and very serene.

The owner is fantastic- very helpful and friendly. We had a great site, but others along the road were less private. My boys and I loved the pool- Ideal for young children and adults alike. We had it to ourselves! There is also a nice new playground that is good for ages 10 and under. The broad river greenway is 15 minutes away and was beautiful. The campground was extremely quiet throughout our stay. There is one short trail behind the pond that is being built. A day or two here is just right.

Stayed for one night and would have enjoyed several more. Good sized sites, nice trails and live oaks, a playground. Add 5 bucks to the cost of booking, because there is a 5 dollar park fee. Still reasonable, cheap actually for what you get. 8 to 10 minutes off of 75, but worth it for the quiet and beauty compared to roadside stops.

This KOA is just off of i75, super convenient for an overnight stop (which was what we did). Our boys loved the early 80s Era playground, but unfortunately it wasn't kept up well and was frankly dangerous- the large swingset wasn't anchored to the ground, the fence was partially torn down near the roadway, and there was rust on the equipment. They didn't kbiw the difference and played on it for an hour having lots of fun, but it is an accident waiting to happen. The woman who we dealt with at check in was awesome- super nice and friendly, and gave me a teacher discount. Our site was a nice large pull through with a picnic table and fire ring. Setup wasn't difficult. There was some wet dirt, could probably use some gravel. The campground looked to be in a retired pecan Grove. Not a ton of privacy but large sites and nice trees. While you can hear the highway, this one is not immediately adjacent but one property away, so it isn't bad. The property between the campground and the highway is a large abandoned building.. slightly shady but not a problem. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Reserved a spot for the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving via email a few weeks in advance, but could have booked same day as many sites were available. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and let us leave payment when we got there late. We were able to choose any site that was open (there was no map and they didn't seem to be numbered). The gravel/dirt site we chose is level and full hookup. The best part about it was is how large it is- twice the size of most roadside rv parks. It was also nice to have a pecan tree between each site for a bit of shade and privacy. There are no amenities to speak of, and the highway noise is significant (though we slept fine). The price is 10 bucks less per night than the competition, and seems fair for what you get. We will stop here again.
