Yellow Circle Crossing

It’s just a fenced in dirt area with a few fire pits. Don’t expect any privacy; you won’t get any. This place is busy.

We found this spot while passing through Moab and fell in love with Utah. Plenty of spots to choose from, just make sure you go about a mile down there road before setting up camp. 

When we got there, it was only 2 other people in our area, and when we woke up there were about 8 new groups. You can go pretty far down the road, we stayed pretty close to the main road.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

There are a BUNCH of both individual campsites, group campsites, and shared campsites up the hill and RV campsites are at the bottom. All with great views. The road is gravel towards the entrance and then a little rocky at parts, but nothing crazy. Stone fire pits indicate where the sites are. Great views of the mountains and Moab in the distance. Maybe 15-20 minutes from Moab.

Nice views. 14 day availability. I was able to navigate this in a Travato. T-Mobile service here is LTE but if you go just a walking distance away, you can get 5G.

Would stay again, wasn’t many others but enough to feel comfortable, quite away from the road, easy access and roomy.

Nice spots for bigger campers! I wouldn’t go past the second big lot unless you are pretty brave! But it can be done

The location was great for a stop overnight after Arches NP. A few other campers, firepits and no trash at all. Just a short part of the road to the spot is gravel, no problems for the RV, no 4×4 required

Some areas would require high clearance, but there a few different options and plenty of space to choose from depending how close you want to be to neighbors. We don’t have 4x4 and four a great secluded spot.

It was quiet and clean. I was shocked by how organized it was. Super close to arches & downtown Moab.

Flat space, but crowded (already a bunch of RVs, vans and even a semi). Unfortunately, when we found a spot the fire pit was filled with glass beer bottles and trash and the whole area smelled gross. Also, pretty shady and not ideal for solar. We didn’t stay

The area for camping is surrounded by hills & mountains so its actually pretty quiet even though its not terribly far off the road. You also cant see the road because of the hills. There were a few other people there but not too busy, close to Moab which was great as it allowed us to get to arches in the morning before the 7AM cutoff for timed entry.

We stayed here for one night and it was simply fantastic. Completely alone and quiet. It was probably the time of year.

The lower camping area is flat and will accommodate large tow RVs. We continued up the road as it goes up the mountain. Do NOT attempt this road without 4WD or AWD. And can’t imagine with a large tow. We have a Winnebago Ekko which is AWD and had no issues on the dry road. There are multiple sites along the ascent as well as on top - perhaps 15+ and more. Moore roads up there, but not sure of how easy. Road is rough, but not much dirt. If wet or icy will be difficult

But the views are more dramatic at the top.

You will see no camping signs on your way in but follow the road in and turn right. A short distance on this road you will see a large flat, clear area to the left and off to the right you pull intoa cozy little valley but still roomy. The road continues up the hill. Stayed here for the night. No noise from traffic. Only one other camper there.
