Nice visit

Stayed last night on a long run from Utah to Oklahoma. Parked on the east side of the restaurant. Wind was from the north, so the noise from I-40 was very subdue. Very few others in the lot.

Up the Mountain

The lower camping area is flat and will accommodate large tow RVs. We continued up the road as it goes up the mountain. Do NOT attempt this road without 4WD or AWD. And can’t imagine with a large tow. We have a Winnebago Ekko which is AWD and had no issues on the dry road. There are multiple sites along the ascent as well as on top - perhaps 15+ and more. Moore roads up there, but not sure of how easy. Road is rough, but not much dirt. If wet or icy will be difficult

But the views are more dramatic at the top.

Spectacular views

There are two primary camping areas. The first on on the right ioverlooks a secondary camping area in the valley below, about a half mile further.  We were at the upper area which 6+ camping area depending on how close you want to be. The lower area is much more conducive to large RVs, but the views won’t be as spectacular.

Lots af rock campfire rings.

No facilities, water, electricity, or bathrooms.

No trees for shade
