South Klondike Bluffs / Road 142 Dispersed

Easily accessible in our 26’ Class C. Lots of campers but we didn’t feel crowded. Great view of the snow capped La Sal Mountains.

This was my first-ever dispersed camp site and I ended up staying 2 nights. Really awesome spot with a lot of space.

Bit of a washboard road coming off of the highway, but I watched a 2WD sedan make it.

Definitely recommend!

This area is easy to find in the dark. The road is a little rocky and washed out but even a sedan could pass. The first couple pull offs were very busy so I continued down the road until I found a decently secluded spot. Great AT&T connection!

A good spot close to the National Parks and Moab. It does fill up quick but we always found space no matter what time of night we pulled in.

Have a class A 40 foot motorhome, would suggest scouting out the road before going in with a larger RV it is rough but I made it, just have to drive slow. It's quiet

The road was a little rough in our 1 ton truck. But overall super easy camping and a lot of space.

SITLA and State Sovereign Land. free camping, 14-day limit . Great spot near airport. Campsites near established fire rings. Beware of road when wet. Decent Verizon and AT&T service. Fun OHV trails. Great view of the night sky. Bumpy and dusty road but doable for up to a 30 ft rig. This site is much more preferable to some overpriced sardine-packed campground. I personally stayed closer to the highway because it was rainy to not get stuck in any mud.

Very large spread out area. Road is pretty ruff, but was able to get our 36ft RV in with relative ease.

We stayed 4 nights the end of October. Not overly crowded during our stay. The weather was perfect.

Road noise from the highway, but wasn't terrible. I'd definitely stay here again in the future!

Arrived after sunset but road entrance was easy to see and navigate to a good spot for the night.

The views are amazing and sunset was incredible. The only issue is that it’s right off the highway and there’s also the train tracks close as well so there’s definitely noise that will be heard. It got super windy throughout the night which also posed a bit of an issue but my tent stood strong.

There's plenty of space available, but the roads and surfaces are rocky, bumpy, and rough. You'll be fine if you go very slow. You can watch skydivers all morning.

This is a hoppin place. A lot of travelers must use this spot as base or a quick overnight spot. Either way it is a great area. The camping spots are spread out over a half mile dirt area so plenty of room to spread out. It is a bit bumpy all around, so finding level ground is a challenge but not impossible. You are close to the highway but it seemed to slow down in the night. If you are a star gazer then this would be your 5 star place. With no light noise you can see every star in the night sky! We do have our side by side but decided not to try out any roads since we don’t know the area. If you want to visit Arches or Canyonlands this place seems to be the best base camp for that!

Arrived about 3pm. Got a great spot not far from the road. We’re in a 24 ft rv. Easy in easy out. Quiet. About 15 vehicles all spread out. No one close by

Good spot just off the highway close to Arches and Canyonlands. Arrived at around 6pm and could only see about 2 other vehicles further down the road - so plenty of space. Verizon phone signal good just off the turnout, we didn’t venture any further than this. Fire pits around but currently fire restrictions so cannot use.

Easy access to all size rv. Easy to get level. Near hwy so a bit of road noise. Wide open space.

We spent only one night, but nothing beats this location for Arches.

This spot is literally 15 minutes from Arches and is a great spot to post up in if you want to explore Moab for a couple days and don’t want to spend money on a place to stay. I only stayed here one night on my way out, but if we hadn’t already booked a campground we would have stayed here

Stayed here 3 nights in a row. There's tons of sites if you keep going towards the back but I wanted service so I was just off the pull off. Beautiful sunset and my cat loved to roll on the dirt.

Saw lots of different size skoolies. Ground is a bit lumpy lol but I made it slow and steady in my 37 ft bus.

Go SLOW if you’re driving a rig. Wild bumps and wash. Spots are fairly level.

Really nice place to stay lot of space. Lot of people to but really calm. If you are close to the Hwy you can hear some noise but it’s not that bad. Really near to Arches Np and Canyonlands Np.

Arrived around 530pm to ensure enough daylight to set up camp and select a spot with a fire ring. T-Mobile 3-5 5G Bars at all times. Fellow campers spread out nicely.

As is most of this area, full sun exposure, but also means great sunset/sunrise! Good safe spot right off the highway. Made it in my front wheel drive 21’ van. Just go slow. Lots of rocks sticking up and little rivets in the road. I was able to get around them. Other campers spread apart far enough for me

It’s right off the interstate, so traffic noise is somewhat loud, but not too bad! Not a lot of privacy but mostly full of people going to Arches. Some AMAZING sunsets and bright stars!

This worked as an overnight option, but was probably more work than it was worth. This area does not have typical pull out spots like BLM land, it had a limited number of large group sites where 4-5 campers were all right next to each other. We drove at least 3-4 miles back on a bumpy road for a travel trailer and had to turn around and share a space with another van. Very windy and exposed as well, but beautiful sunset/sunrise! Not mad, just not the most convenient public land option in our opinion.

We were not planning on stopping here but out of necessity due to a flat tire we stopped here. We found a spot not too far off main road and had plenty of space. All the site are exposed and it was very windy. The road is very long with many spots along it. Took our mountain bikes down the road and had enjoyable time. Only about 20 minutes from Moab and quiet. Nice distant view of Arches

Got there later in the evening. The road is pretty long so you just have to keep going until you find a spot. Not too bumpy so lower clearance vehicles are just fine.

The road in is a bit rough: rocky and rutted. Campsites are fully exposed so there is no privacy, but it's great for charging your solar system and viewing stars at night 😉 Campsites have stone fire rings. There are no amenities here. Pack it in, pack it out.

This was a great spot for our first dispersed camping night. We ended up coming back for another night because it was so quiet and safe.
