With eight sites accessible via drive-in or walk-in options, Greendale operates as a reservable campground in Ashley National Forest from mid-May through early September. The Forest Service facility accommodates RVs up to 65 feet and charges $33-$173 per night depending on site selection and season.
Sites spread across the forested terrain with substantial spacing between each spot. "Alot of trees and foliage adds to the privacy of the sites," notes Cortney M., while reviewers consistently mention the level ground and generous site dimensions. Each location includes a fire pit and picnic table, with vault toilets and a dumpster serving the campground.
The location provides cell service coverage and allows both pets and alcohol. A dirt road runs adjacent to one side of the campground, connecting to nearby RV facilities. Campers report good Verizon coverage throughout the area. The campground sits within walking distance of a store, gas station, and restaurant according to regular visitors.
Water availability varies by season, with some periods requiring campers to bring their own supply. The facility operates with every-other-site reservations during peak periods. For additional camping options in the region, campers can explore places to camp around Ashley National Forest. Book reservations well ahead for summer weekends when demand peaks.
