RV Campground: Hailstone offers 103 RV campsites equipped with partial hookups (power & water), fire pits with BBQ grills, and picnic tables. All restrooms have hot showers and flush toilets. Murdock Camp Services also has a laundry facility. A dump station is located on the west side of the campground. A playground is located in the Lower Fisher loop by Murdock Camp Services. All of our sites come with amazing views of the reservoir and sell out fast so plan ahead! Check out is 12 PM and Check in is at 3 PM. Guests who arrive early will not be allowed entry into the park until Check in.

Tanners Flat Campground is located in scenic Little Cottonwood Canyon at an elevation of 7,200 feet, just 6 miles from Sandy, Utah. The canyon offers many hiking and biking opportunities.
Hiking and mountain biking trailheads can be found throughout the canyon. Hikers enjoy Red Pine Lake, White Pine Lake and Maybird Gulch, all beautiful hikes leading to alpine lakes. Mountain bikers enjoy the Cottonwood Creek Trail and Albion Meadows Trail. Little Cottonwood Creek offers good trout fishing and is a favorite among local fly-fishermen.
The campground is set among a forest of shady pine, aspen, oak and maple trees. Vivid summer wildflowers are abundant, and autumn leaves put on quite a show. Little Cottonwood Creek runs along the edge of the campground.

Little Cottonwood Canyon is a beautiful area known for its soaring peaks, unique geology, pristine hidden lakes and cascading streams. Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails are in the area. Rock climbing is a popular activity as well. Snowbird Resort is a few miles up-canyon, offering scenic tram rides, hiking, mountain biking, restaurants, groceries, an Alpine Slide, zip line rides, concerts and various festivals. Albion Basin, part of Alta Ski Resort just a few miles further up-canyon, hosts the Wasatch Wildflower Festival annually in late July/early August, complete with guided nature walks. Numerous hiking trails can be found in Albion Basin, including the 1.5-mile round-trip hike to Cecret Lake.
Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation. Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Late Cancellations Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival. Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply. Cabins / Lookouts: Customers will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee and forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or lookout reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge. No-Shows Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date. If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under "Late Cancellations" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees. Refunds Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure. Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location. Stayed at Bridger Bay Sept 18-19 in one of the sites nearest the water. Great timing as there were virtually no bugs and the water was warm enough to paddle board. Lots of Bison and a Great Horned Owl spend an hour in a tree by our Bean Trailer. Hiking the beach was otherworldly and we will definitely return.

Spot 19 is in the middle and seems to have a good view regardless of who is parked in adjacent spots, and spot 32 also seems to have a good view and the advantage of being on the outer edge so no backdoor neighbors. Park has a general store but we did not go inside. Bathrooms/showers are decent with sufficient hot water, but are not as nice as those at Wasatch Mtn.
Food aside: Had freeze-dried coconut curry chicken with extra packet of ready-to-eat Wal Mart chicken added and it was good. Also had chicken teriyaki with chicken packet added. Spiced both up with garlic powder.

RangerSite 56 was fairly level and had decent shade and access to the showers/bathrooms with still good privacy in the trees. Bathrooms very clean. Road cyclists: excellent access to Empire Pass. Couple of good trails to walk around. Oak Hollow (tent loop) seems bit more spaced out in sites but only has water and 20A and most sites are slanted or have no shade from the late afternoon sun.
For $5 more, the Cottonwood and Mahogany loops have full or partial hookups. Also good are sites 19, 22, 24, 25, and 79.
Many sites have issues with level and/or lack of any privacy or shade.
Food aside: Freeze-dried sweet pork for dinner. Had Sprouts Hatch mac and cheese from box with jerky from hatch, Mexican cheese shreds and garlic powder. Yum. Breakfast was oatmeal with chopped nuts and some strawberries and broken-up brownie Clif bar. Was a bit bland, could have used maple syrup. Other breakfast was frozen pancake bites with maple syrup and butter, fried in pan from frozen, 30 sec per side flipped 4 times.

The camp ground itself is not bad. You have all the amenities that you could wish for when you are on the road. Including sites with full hook up and showers plus toilets that are in good condition. The camp store has food and drinks available. Very positive were the ladies at the reception. Very helpful and very sweet.
But the location is rather disappointing. Its located at the end of an old street and right in front of a dam, enclosed by some hills. You can hear the nearby highway. Not very pretty.
It feels a little cramped, the individual spots are very close to each other, so there is not much privacy. Plus, it is very expensive. I paid 78$ for a full hook up spot.
Probably better to check out the camp site Hailstone Camp Ground right up the hill, in the Jordanelle state park. It looked so much more beautiful when I passed by there the next morning.

Found this spot last minute. It's fancy. Way fancier than we usually pick, but the price was right. It was full when we arrived on a Saturday. But thinned out later in the week I really enjoyed the split between the folks with kids and those without. 3 pools and hot tubs...2 for the 21+ only crowd. There are tons of clean bathrooms woth showers and 3 clubhouses. 2 dog parks...one was HUGE!! Dogs loved it. Views are amazing. It was honestly kind if refreshing to stay in a resort.
TravelerWe went during the summer and had a great time. The views were perfect and the lake is active with choice of water fun rentals. The site is standard with a small lawn area and a pavilion. Bathrooms are onsite as well as showers. Pet friendly but need to be on a leash at all times. Great for RV’s as power and water is present on each site.
ScoutBeautiful views of the lake. Hook ups were really easy to use for the trailer. Bugs were minimal. Bathrooms were very clean. You’ll check in when you enter the park and if you don’t have a reservation, they’ll assign you a spot at the gate and have you pay there.

We stayed in HS site 100. Absolutely beautiful view and great access to park city. Showers were clean. Only downside was the dump station near us was pretty awful smells and the site was very unlevel.

Clean quiet camp with 30A and water, showers and flush toilets! Next to historic union pacific rail trail for hiking and biking (many goatheads so plan accordingly- tubeless?) Runs from dam to park city about 28mi. Be sure and visit the coalville ledge and it's many mud swallows.

This site was very big & the creek surrounded on two sides. It even had 2 picnic tables. When we were here, this part of the campground was empty across from us & site beside us was empty which we loved! We got to listen to the birds. The campground kids enjoying the playground & pool were on the other side of the creek beyond a thick stand of trees.
GuideSuper nice campground in a fascinating area. We were in a pull through spot (BB42) and the hook ups (water/electric) were great.
Watching sunset on the lake and seeing bison lounging on the beach was magical. Plenty of pronghorns prancing around and we also grabbed soft serve from the nearby concession stand.
The sites are well spaced and have been staggered so that the site across from you does not block your view. Love the forethought.
Only downside was the bugs. The camp host did send out a notice about the bugs before our arrival, but we did not anticipate the literal swarms of no-see-em's and mosquitoes.
Can't blame nature for naturing though :)

GuideThis isn’t a “shiny” newest and nicest place, but it gets the job done. It is conveniently located off the highway and has a gas station accessible for even the biggest RVs. The staff is super helpful and very welcoming.
The layout of the parking/sites is unique, but works well. Nice grassy area and creek (very fast and deep - not for play) nearby.
Note that the water pressure is VERY high!! 110psi - so make sure you bring and use a regulator.
Will stay here again the next time I’m traveling through the area.

GuideMountain valley is very conveniently located in a Heber which is great for visiting Park City, Midway and Soldier Hollow. All the amenities included showers, cable, wifi, pickleball, pool and hot tubs. The park is nice and flat that kids are riding scooters and rollerblading throughout. Nice adult section. Also they show outdoor movies on the weekend and usually have a food truck.

Camp site was clean and pretty basic. Showers at bridger bay are clean and basic. Would stay again. Love seeing the Buffalo
