Navajo Lake Campground

This is for the rental of the lot only. . We have a 1-night minimum. This campground is private and will hold up to two trailers. It has full hookups 30, 50 amp power, sewer, and water. Walk to a town close by fishing at Navajo Lake or Panguitch Lake. Zion and Bryce National Parks are about a one-hour drive.. Duck Creek is at 8500 feet for mild days and cool nights. Meadow View Campground Duck Creek

## Overview

North Campground is located in the beautiful and unique Bryce Canyon National Park. Known for its colorful rock spires and grand vistas that sweep out over the High Plateaus region of the Colorado Plateau, Bryce Canyon is the ultimate camping destination.   
  
Located at an approximate elevation of 8,000 feet, the campground is centrally located within walking distance of the park's Visitor Center. Famed Sunrise and Sunset Points are located nearby, at the heart of the magnificent geologic wonder of Bryce Amphitheater, where hiking and photography opportunities are plentiful.

## Recreation

Bryce Canyon offers several day-hiking trails, many of which are inter-connected. Single trails range from easy to strenuous, and from less than a mile in length up to 11 miles. The most popular hikes are combinations of two or three trails. Bryce Amphitheater has spectacular rock formations and sweeping views, providing excellent photography opportunities. The Bryce Canyon Shuttle, which runs from May to September, makes several stops throughout the park, giving visitors easy access to its most popular trailheads and viewpoints. Astronomers love visiting Bryce Canyon, where 7500 stars are visible on a moonless night. An annual Astronomy Festival is held in June, and astronomy and stargazing programs are offered on more than 100 nights throughout the year. Guided full moon hikes are also a fun way to experience the park at night.

## Facilities

North Campground is a very popular year-round site with paved roads, paved spurs in A and B loops, and gravel parking spurs in C and D loops, flush toilets and drinking water. Picnic tables, fire rings and grills are provided at each campsite.   
  
During the spring, summer and fall months, laundry and shower facilities are available at the general store nearby. The Bryce Canyon Shuttle makes a stop at the Visitor Center, which is near the campground's entrance, from mid April thru mid October.

## Natural Features

A ponderosa pine forest towers over North Campground offering equal parts sun and shade. The site is situated in a gently rolling landscape dotted with shrubs and summer wildflowers.

Bryce Canyon RV Resort by Rjourney

Surrounded by some of Utah’s most popular national parks, Kodachrome Basin State Park is a land of redrock cliffs and spires, under wide-open skies, where you can enjoy spectacular canyon country scenery—without the national park crowds. The park derives its peculiar name from the landscape’s striking contrasts in color, which—at the time of its naming in 1949—was synonymous with Kodak’s high-contrast photography film (before digital took over). The park is approximately 160 miles east of St. George, and is sandwiched between Bryce Canyon to the west, and Grand Staircase–Escalante to the east. As with most of Utah’s canyon country destinations, sun and heat are ample, water and shade are scarce, and summer thunderstorms are common. 

 With 54 drive-in campsites in three small campgrounds, Kodachrome Basin is ideal for RV, trailer and tent campers. Basin Campground is the largest of the three, with 37 standard and full-hookup sites—as well as great views. This location offers water faucets, flush toilets and showers. Bryce View Campground has 11 standard sites with tables, fire rings, and also has impressive views. This campground offers water and vault toilets. The Arch Campground is located on a gravel road and has 6 sites with tables and fire rings. This smaller site has water and vault toilets. RVs and trailers must be under 25 feet to access this location. There is one tent-only group campsite. Seasonal campsite rates range from $20–$30/night; reservations accepted for some sites; generator hours are limited to 12noon – 4pm.

 To tour Kodachrome Basin is to travel back in time, as the roots of the park’s sculpted cliffs, pipes and spires are more than 180 million years old. Observing the rock formations’ colorful layers tells a dramatic story of how the land changed over time—including when the area was covered by a vast, inland sea. The best way to see the basin is by taking a hike on one of the park’s five trails. These range from a barrier-free, 0.5-mile interpretive trail to the more moderate—and spectacularly scenic—6-mile Panorama Trail. If you don’t feel like hoofing it yourself, you can let a horse hoof it for you. Red Canyon Trail Rides offers family-friendly guided horseback rides on the Panorama Trail, where you can enjoy the canyon scenery from the comfort of a saddle. Mountain biking and horseback riding is permitted on some trails.



Kodachrome Basin State Park

## Overview

Kings Creek Campground is located on the west side of Tropic Reservoir, high on the Colorado Plateau at an elevation of 8,000 feet. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing and exploring local ATV trails.

## Recreation

Kings Creek is a favorite of ATV enthusiasts because of its easy access to a large network of trails. The Fremont ATV trail passes within 1/4 mile of the campground and the Great Western Trail is nearby.  
  
Hiking and mountain biking trails are plentiful as well, with access from various points within the campground.   
  
Tropic Reservoir offers boating, canoeing and fishing for brook, rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. A boat ramp is within 1/2-mile of the the campground. The East Fork Sevier River is nearby with good fishing opportunities.

## Facilities

The campground offers two group sites, which can be reserved separately or together. The group area is isolated from the main campground and provides privacy for gatherings and events. All individual sites are managed on a first come, first served basis. A large covered pavilion with picnic tables is also included with the group site to provide shade and cover from the weather. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. The campground and reservoir are reached via a well-maintained gravel road with good access for cars and RVs alike.

## Natural Features

Tropic Reservoir is situated at the foot of beautifully forested mountains in Southern Utah. The campground is nestled among towering pines on a hillside above the reservoir.

Many people enjoy the solitude and primitive experience of camping away from developed campgrounds and other campers. Dispersed camping is the term used for camping anywhere in the National Forest OUTSIDE of a developed campground. Dispersed camping is free, therefore no services or facilities are provided; such as trash removal, tables, and fire pits.  In some popular dispersed camping areas, camping is limited to designated sites only, such as the ones listed below.

Dave’s Hollow

Pine Lake Campground is located next to its scenic namesake lake high on the Colorado Plateau at an elevation of 8,100 feet. Pine Lake Camp visitors enjoy canoeing, fishing and exploring local hiking and off-road vehicle trails. Recreation A short trail leads from the campground to Pine Lake, which offers excellent canoeing and kayaking, as well as fishing for rainbow, cutthroat and brook trout. Hiking and off-road vehicle trails are plentiful within the area, however off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground. The Pine Lake OHV Trailhead is located adjacent to the campground. A loading ramp is provided. Facilities The campground offers four group sites and 17 family sites. Accessible vault toilets and drinking water are provided. A well-maintained gravel road leads to the campground, providing good access for cars and RVs alike. Natural Features Pine Lake is situated at the foot of beautifully forested peaks banded with red and white layers of sandstone. The campground is nestled among a forest of spruce and towering ponderosa pines, and is adjacent to Pine Lake. Nearby Attractions Bryce Canyon National Park is approximately 30 minutes from the campground, offering breathtaking scenery and excellent hiking opportunities. Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park

This small campground with only four sites provides easy access to Thunder MountainTrailhead. This trail is a very popular hiking, biking, horseback riding trail. Anyone can stay in this campground; there is no condition that you must have a horse. This quaint little campground sits in ponderosa pine forests on the beautiful Paunsaugunt plateau with easy access to many sightseeing locations and trail systems.
