Best RV Parks & Resorts near Aurora, UT

Needed a spot just for the night. At first it didn’t appear as though this campground is used that much - we were one of 3 campers in the park. Full hook ups for the night was $40. Restrooms were clean, nice laundry room. What I liked most was the lack of ambient light. Went out at night and it was pitch black with sky full of stars. Try the cheese curd they sell in the gas station at the RV park entrance - it was great!

Great campsite! We had an 11’ RV and hooked up just fine, everything worked great! Bathrooms clean and has showers and toilet. Very quiet RV resort and tons of spaces anytime of day. Manager is superb and super sweet!

No room in RV site for tent so moved to grassy tent site. Most sites appear to be occupied by long term rentals. Host was very friendly and helpful in accommodating my needs.

We stayed there 6/6/21 on our way to Yellowstone. Great place for a pit stop. Very clean with friendly staff. Great location if you wanted an ATV vacation. Full hook ups. We stayed in site 8. We would stay there again.

Really enjoyed Bowery Haven at Fish Lake. RV area was taken care of and provided full hook up. Some of which were further away than standard sized hoses and cord so be prepared. Loved the cafe and gift shop. The only down side was no personal firepits at campsites, otherwise would've given 5 stars. The community fire was ok but when we tried to go enjoy it another larger group than us pretty much bullied us away. We would definitely come up and stay again.

Basically a place to park your RV with hookups, but no frills or space/privacy. There are no grills or fire pits at the sites. For $35/night, I can't recommend this RV park.

Buyer beware.

We selected this location based on activities we wanted to incorporate into our 2-week family vacation. The website was our only source of information and it was professionally done with a reservation process on par with well-established parks. We had never been to the Bryce Canyon area and were taking a risk with each location where we chose to stay. Our intent was to choose locations that gave everyone in the family a fun option as this would be our only vacation for the year. The Sevier River RV Park’s website gave us everything we wanted to see.

What we found instead was that the photos and activities listed on the website were either intentionally misleading or, at the very least, were not representative of this RV park. Rather than paved lots surrounded by trees, we found a newly graded, bare dirt lot. The listed amenities were only partially available and the activities listed were not available with the exception of the fishing. We found ourselves at a location that did not in any way match the sales pitch on the website.

To add insult to injury, I paid an extra$50 to lock in a specific RV spot which hadn’t even been graded yet. What we figured out after we arrived was this this is a brand new RV park that isn’t yet fully functional, in spite of what is represented on their website. The owners were very kind folks who didn’t seem to recognize that we had a reservation, let along paid additional fees to lock in a site that wasn’t ready. Based on the activities and presentation on the website, we’d planned a 3-night stay in a site toward the outer edge of the park under the trees. What we quickly decided was that we’d give it one night and see if we still wanted to stay. The only grudging accommodation from the owner was to allow us to use the laundry facilities at no charge.

While the fishing did not disappoint(5 brown trout all 10-12 inches) and the surrounding area was beautiful, there was nothing else, just dirt. Contrary to the website representation, there were no ATV rentals, horseback riding or white water rafting available. Because the fishing was good, we decided to stay a second night. It rained hard all night long and we woke up to a muddy mess. In spite of the cost, we left early that morning not to return.

While we had high hopes, to say this stay was disappointing is an understatement. I think in 4-5 years, this park will live up to the hype on the website but, in the meantime, the owners have an obligation to accurately represent their park. We walked away at an$80 cost because of the misrepresentation. I hope the owners update the website or at least communicate to those who make reservations that all may not be what it seems. We stayed in 5 different RV parks over a span of 15 nights and this was the only one that did not meet expectations. Should you choose to stay here, keep your expectations in check.

This is one of those RV parks where most spaces are permanently occupied by trailers that will never move from that spot. We checked it out and kept on driving.

We happened upon this campground when looking for a stop over on our way to Moab. The campground is still being developed but everything is being done right! First, Jordan, the owner, greeted us as we drove in. He is the whole package; friendly, customer service oriented, smart and looking to make sure the has his vision right. When you 1st drive in, you see a large red pole barn style building that serves as the office, store, and event area. There are also immaculate restroom/showers and an excellent laundry facility. Behind the building you will find the campsites, which are all large pull through, gravel sites with full hook ups. You have a spectacular 360° view of the mountains. This campground is an ATVers heaven as you can drive your ATV directly from the campground to the trails. As we were leaving, the campground was filling up quickly and just about everyone had an ATV in tow. There were a lot of families and groups of friends that were gathering for a weekend of fun. Jordan has done everything right and has several more projects in the pipeline. We have been camping for 45 years and are currently full timing and it's very rare to find a campground such as this. When we travel back to Utah, we will definitely camp here again.

I selected the Millsite Campground because of its proximity to the Moore Cutoff road’s interesting geology, located a few miles away. Driving from I-70 to Millsite in Ferron on UT-10 was joyless because the landscape is so chaotic, wounded by nature and mining. But Millsite provides some respite if you are arriving in an RV. It’s full hookups and dump site are quite adequate. The reservoir was almost empty in October, although only two RVs used the place on the night we stayed there. The less pricey partial hookup sites were full. Very quiet in the full hookup area. Clean. The grey morass quickly falls away when heading south from UT-10. Millsite and Ferron have fall color that perks things up a bit.

This new RV park is right off I70. They are doing a great job planning and building up this new park. Can't wait to cover back in a year and see. Ducks, turkeys and geese roam the grounds. We walk ed down to the river and fished for small fish. The owners are very friendly and stopped by multiple times to see if we needed anything. We will be back!

This is one of my favorite hidden little campgrounds, although it is only open seasonally. There are numerous sites available for RVs/Camping trailers to park in. The small creek that runs through the campground is stocked with fish multiple times per year. There are 3 large groups sites perfect for family outings or family reunions. The group sites are also available for reservation. My favorite site is tucked in the trees near the creek and offers a ton of room for tents. There is an apple tree near by that has delicious green apples in the late summer.

We were hesitant to camp at a KOA because we prefer something more remote but this one was perfection. Near the highway(not close enough to hear anything) but backed up to the most beautiful mountains to watch the clouds roll in. Large grassy sites, full hookups, pool, bathrooms and free showers. Fire pits and picnic tables. Quiet. Surpringly hardly any kids. We loved this spot. We walked in with no reservations.

RV pull through sites right off the highway with full hookups. No tent sites. Nothing sexy here, just good spot to spend the night in your RV if you're traveling through.

We stayed here two nights in our class C while slowly making our way across the country. The park is reasonably large. We had no problems getting a spot here. Sites are gravel, level and well maintained. Most are pull through. Hookups are in excellent condition. Neighbors could be a little close if the place is full. Sites did not included a table, but there was plenty of room to set up outside. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

There is a fishing pond that was also home to geese, ducks and other birds. A river runs along two sides of the park. There is also an enclosure containing chickens and turkeys. The office provided food so our 3 year year old granddaughter could feed those birds. The office also contains a lounge area with TV and games. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Showers and a laundry are available, though we did not use them. I did not notice propane being available.

Fremont Indian State Park is nearby. We found this to be a very interesting park to see petroglyphs and rock art, along with some examination of cultures and explorers. There is also easy access to hundreds of miles of off-road trails and hiking trails.

The RV park is conveniently located near the highway, but not too close. There was very little highway noise. The park was quiet and peaceful, though you could wake to the geese if you choose a spot close to the pond.

We had 3 bar LTE with Verizon. I was able to use my hotspot, though had trouble posting on Facebook later in the day.

This was a very nice place to stay while traveling. It seems to be worth a few days if you are looking to relax. We will stay again when traveling this way.
