Nice spot but crowded

Some good some bad. Good: Nice location with good spot to view the valley. Easy to due laundry, Nestled in the red rocks. Bad: very tight spots, overpriced given the lack of amenities.

Gouldings

Ok campground in Monument Valley. Site was 43. We only stayed 1 night for travel and didn't explore the area. Our site was very unlevel. Great views, laundry, restroom facilities, indoor pool on site. Nice short trail to an Arch in the campground. Not much in this area and campsite was very expensive.

Ease of camping

Showers, ferral dogs, lots of flies, close numbered spots, and lots of traffic noise. Everything camping shouldn't be. There are great views and some hiking trails around it, though.

Nice but quite overpriced

Nice camping with an indoor swimming pool. The toilets haven't been cleaned once during our stay. We wouldn't bother if the night wouldn't be 100 USD. For such a price I expect absolute cleanliness.

Incredible views, roaming dogs, crummy wi-fi (if that matters)

I was joined early Easter morning by other campers at the fence line between the upper campground and the lower. We all watched the sun come up between the hills. There's something really special out here.

I was destined to spend a good chunk of the day under my VW Vanagon diagnosing a shifting problem, but I digress.

Campsite says it has wi-fi. Don't believe them. I happened to need it to get with the VW community. I ended up using my cellular data instead. Verizon reception is fine.

When we checked in, they said "don't leave your shoes out. We have packs of roaming dogs." They certainly do. They're sweet--at least the one I met.

Sites are red dirt. Not many trees up this way. Main roads are paved. It all works well. The campground is tucked between a couple of hills. It is stunning.

Worth a visit for sure.

Beautiful drive into the area…a must see. Camp site is good…the RV sites are packed pretty close together. There’s laundry, showers avail 24/7, they show old west movies in their theater every night. There’s a visitors center, museum restaurant and grocery store. It was a fun stop along our adventure

Gouldings RV Park and Campground

You will not find a more picturesque setting around a campground. A nice trail that can be accessed from the campground. Grocery store and laundry facilities. Average restrooms and showers, on the older side. Close to Monument Valley and the Navajo Visitor Center, where you can drive the 17 mile loop through Monument Valley. Full hook ups and tent sites available.

Great stay incredible views

We stopped here to overnight crossing through Utah and wow what a surprise. It’s nestled between some amazing canyons and incredible views. There are showers port a potties and restrooms throughout the facility. We paid $26 for a tent spot that our van was easily able to access.

Had a good stay

Nice campground with clean showers, toilets and even a little inside pool. Apparently booked the last spot but there were at least 5 empty places the night we stayed here. A lot of smal vans stayed at the tentspots, didn’t know that was an option. Close to monument valley and loved the view. Would recommend. Don’t count on internet though, WiFi is not working well and had almost no signal from my 4g

Nice spot close to Monument Valley

We stayed here 2 nights in a tent campsite. The office staff were very friendly. We had great views, however we think we lucked out with our specific site being in a corner, and not near the RVs. The sites are big, but there is not a lot of shade. A little hiking is possible from the campground. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, as was the campground. In terms of facilities, there were several washing machines out of service, which is only a big deal if you were counting on them to do laundry (we were) but it wasn't a huge wait. You should not rely on their wireless. We didn't need it, but did try to connect, and it just never worked. Also to note the network is 3G, so if you can get a data connection, it's very slow. We would stay here again though.

Surrounded by Amazing Views

This is a really nice campground within Navajo Nation near Monument Valley Park. With tax, we paid $47 for full hookups. Pretty pricey for us, but we didn’t have many other alternatives if we wanted to stay in this area. No boondocking allowed on Navajo Nation land.

There are a few RV sites with no hookups for $29 available, but you are charged $10 to use the dump anyway. There are also tent sites available. The views from this campground are just amazing, and there are several short hikes from here as well. They offer laundry, showers (hot and free and clean), wifi, and there is a store with some basic necessities.

A short walk away (about a mile) is the lodge, gift shop, museum, movie theater with a John Wayne movie every night, and restaurant. There’s also a grocery store. The setup is your basic RV park lineup of sites all in a row, but we didn’t mind at all, surrounded by such gorgeous scenery. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring.

Heads up that RVs are not allowed on the scenic loop through Monument Valley. Also that the America the Beautiful Annual Parks Pass is not honored here and it’s $20 to enter.

Nice campground but terrible WiFi

Nice campground but I needed WiFi or cell service to work. The WiFi only good next to their pavilion. Neither Verizon nor AT&T cell service was good enough to do any work on a computer.

Beautiful views and comfortable camping

Stayed here during my first trip to Monument Valley. Beautiful views of the valley, a few short hikes from the campsite to an arch and other cool geological features. Clean bathrooms and showers which was nice after a few nights of backcountry camping. In the evening we walked over to the lodge theatre to watch Stagecoach (John Wayne’s first movie shot in Monument Valley) so that was a cute touch. It wasn’t very busy the weekend in February we went so we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Great facilities and amazing views!

We decided to stay here on a short notice, and found a space for our RV with full hook-ups.  Price was decent for the amenities and service.  We were able to take the shuttle up to the lodge for dinner.  The views around the property are gorgeous, and there are little hikes you can do right on the site.  This location is just minutes from Monument Valley, and while we did not use their tour service, Goulding's offer their own guided tour of MV.  We would stay here again when we are in the area!

Hidden in the middle of red rock canyon this campground was great! Late check-in greeted and led to site by security. Campground was quiet and peaceful. Woke up and saw the splendor of this place! Clean showers and there are plenty. Well kept grounds and great laundry room. They have signs up to wear masks but respected social distancing due to not having one. The drive here from New Mexico was just as beautiful!
