We stayed here for one night on our way from the Grand Canyon to Bryce Canyon. What a surprise! The drive through the valley was amazingly beautiful. It is a state park, so our dog could go anywhere with us, there was hiking and bike riding (which we did not do, since we were only there for one night) but lots of great activities. The views from the campground are superb, and the campsites are very spacious. The pit toilets were the cleanest we've encountered on our adventures. We would absolutely stay here again to take advantage of more of the activities that are offered. It's a drive to get back to the state park, but worth it.
We planned our road trip a little late so there was only one night left here during the week we'd hoped to visit. The campground is very nice, huge spaces, nice walk to a view, and clean bathrooms. There was laundry, which we did not use, and showers, which we did use. Half the showers were out of order, very dirty, and cost a quarter a minute. That was the only drawback. It was a quiet spot that we would stay at again
This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. The sites were well groomed and very large. The campground was also very small, so without many people it was very quiet. It is only a short walk to very lovely views of the canyon, and some spots have a direct view. It was very windy while we were there, and there isn't a lot of protection from the wind (can't be helped) but something to keep in mind. There is a concrete pad in each site, with a picnic table on top, and an area in the corner with a pantry-like structure that could be used to store … whatever might fit I guess. The bathrooms were very clean and there is a sink specifically to wash dishes, which was very nice. There is a lot of nice hiking you can do here, which is nice if you have a dog, because they aren't allowed in the National Park trails. We stayed here to visit both Arches and Canyonlands, the location was perfect.
We stayed here 2 nights in a tent campsite. The office staff were very friendly. We had great views, however we think we lucked out with our specific site being in a corner, and not near the RVs. The sites are big, but there is not a lot of shade. A little hiking is possible from the campground. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, as was the campground. In terms of facilities, there were several washing machines out of service, which is only a big deal if you were counting on them to do laundry (we were) but it wasn't a huge wait. You should not rely on their wireless. We didn't need it, but did try to connect, and it just never worked. Also to note the network is 3G, so if you can get a data connection, it's very slow. We would stay here again though.
I booked this campground because of the proximity to Zion, and because of the great reviews. I cannot comprehend how it has received such favorable reviews. The resort itself seemed decent enough, a lot of activities if you are into that kind of thing. But the tent campground itself is not worth staying in, when there are many other options in the area, which are likely way less expensive. It was so bad that we drove in, took one look at our campsite, drove around the rest of the loop to see if there was something that might work better for our needs, and then left. It was clear that the campground was, at best, an afterthought to the resort. Gigantic groups stuffed into the sites, loads of vehicles, a pit bull tied up by a rope. Loud music. Worst campground we've been to, and we camp frequently. Totally not worth any amount of money.
