Description

First day of my campsite, I’ve enjoyed my campers. I told them about the area and name of the monuments . I did start with 2 campsites, than continued to built more campsite. I wanted my campers to enjoy a fire pit and shower during their stay. Now we have warm shower during warmer season. We been improving our outhouse which is an outdoor restroom. An outhouse is dirt hole with no water to flush. Our campsite is very safe, I built a wooden fence around the whole campsite so horses and cows will not eat our trees and garden. Campers to feel comfortable and have some privacy to their site and during their stay. Now, Our campers guests enjoy our campsite and enjoy having them return again. We always explain to them them about our short hiking trail to the rims (Private Overlook) to see the whole valley. Its a beautiful area to take pictures for Sunrise and Sunset.

Guest can pitch a tent or park RV within the campsite having access to own picnic table and fire pit. The Campsite is 10-15 mins to the Valley View of the Famous Monuments and close to Navajo Tribal Park.

Access to Shower and Restroom (Outhouse) Very Clean.

Guest can request Navajo Taco Dinner with Navajo Tea for extra cost to enlighten their stay here in Beautiful Monument Valley. Text or Call me at 435-444-5714 to request Our Delicious Navajo Taco with Navajo Tea.

Guest can bring pets as well. We are pet friendly and have two well behaved dogs name Shina and diamond.

Nice and quiet campground

The campground is small, which makes it nice and quiet. We enjoyed the beautiful starry night! And they made us a delicious Navajo taco dinner which you can request beforehand. We highly recommend this campground.

Wonderful stay, fabulous overlook

Stayed for 3 nights. Campsite was mostly level. Outhouse tidy and clean. Didn’t use the shower. Did the Navajo taco dinner, very tasty. They arranged a tour for me, ended up being a tour of just me, at sunrise for photos; Shane is great, arrived 10 minutes early. There’s a 15 min. walk to the overlook, worth doing every day for terrific views of Monument Valley. Would definitely stay there again.

Hummingbird Campsite - Hidden Gem @ Monument Valley, Utah

I would have given it 5 stars if we got our reserved site instead of an overflow site. We camped during the eve of The Annular Eclipse 2023 (Oct 13-14). It got cold in the evening (40-45 degrees F.)

Incredible view

The host was amazing. We arrived late at night so she set up a tent for us. We had trouble finding the campsite so she shared her location with me and guided me.

Cute little campground

Great view, lovely dogs, decent shower and toilet. Loads of flies until the sun went down. The hosts are very nice and told us about a 15 min private trail to take to see the beautiful monument valley sunrise, instead of paying quite a bit to get into the park and see it with everybody else

Couldn’t get there

We reached the Monument Valley at 7:30pm and couldn’t see the very small sign, google’s indications for the junction to the campsite showed a very steep way off the road to the track, this didn’t make us comfortable risking it with a long RV. Tried to call the site but nobody answered so we couldn’t make it there.

We found a spot at nearby KOA where we stayed very well and experienced an amazing sun rise.

Warm people

I am full time in my Class C and move around to see parts of the USA that I had never seen.  Scenery is nice, but I most appreciate the people I meet.  Brian and Alberta were very warm and hospitable.  They helped me to enjoy my stay.  I had a Navajo Taco, it was delicious and bountiful.  The location is right in Monument Valley and right off the main road to the Monument Valley loop drive.  They have sheltered picnic tables and fire rings with movable grates.  Be aware that it is over 20 miles to most stores and services, but it is an easy drive.  Both tent and RV campers were welcome.  Interestingly I met a few international travelers while there.  A wonderful campsite with amazing scenery and very warm and hospitable hosts.

Peaceful Campground

This is a great place to stop and spend the night after viewing Monument Valley. The family that owns the grounds is very friendly. They have some friendly dogs that just might walk with you on their trail to the overlook. Also, highly recommend the Navajo Taco dinner they offer.

Right down the road from Monument Valley

Was looking for a spot close to Monument Valley and came across this gem. It is located in the property of a Navajo Family. There are 8-10 spots on their property. Each with a picnic table and fire pit. There is an outhouse to use and a shower. The camp host Alberta, who is the Mom in the property, was super kind and eager to make my stay nice. This is a family run business and an excellent location to chill out for an evening and take a nice walk to some beautiful rock structures. I am glad I found them. Spots are fairly close, but spacious enough. The night I was there, people were in tents, RVs and Trailers.
