Ashdown Forest Road provides the most reliable entry point to this dispersed camping area near Panguitch Lake, as several other access routes are gated. Roads turn slick and impassable in rain or snow, so dry conditions matter. No designated sites exist. Campers park where the terrain allows, with sightlines toward the lake and surrounding cabin areas. RVs up to 30 feet can access the area, and the campground permits pets and campfires. Hikers, anglers, kayakers, and OHV riders all find relevant terrain here, with trails connecting to surrounding areas including routes toward Escalante. Campers who want established facilities nearby can compare camping areas around Cedar City or consider Cedar Breaks RV Park to the west.
