Easy off I-70 dispersed camping

We stayed here one night on our way to Colorado.  Road is well maintained and we were able to find a spot for our 35ft 5th wheel.  Nothing special here but easy to get on and off I-70 for a free nights stay.

Middle of nowhere

Really nothing special about this spot other than the fact that its close to the parks and free. No OHV needed to get to this spot, unlike other BLM sites in the area. Everything is out in the open so make sure to clean up after yourself and bring lots of water. I found a litte area with a fire ring already made. Good for car camping, tents, or smaller rigs.

Boondocking out there!

This area is BLM on the Salt Valley Road outside Arches NP. The last 3.3 miles of BLM road before Arches NP is closed to camping. But prior to that no camping restriction there are several large open spots that can handle large campers. Bonus is that cell service is very good due to line of sight to the Interstate to the north. Note that the section of road the camping is most scenic is also the part of the road that is bentonite clay, so be WARNED ...stay out of this area if wet conditions are expected. County road in from Hwy 191 to "y" junction of BLM 145/146 is a good gravel graded road, but NOT into Salt Valley. So again, avoid this area if wet conditions are forecast!! The huge sandstone walls are very scenic and there are great picture taking areas. Seems rock climbers like these massive walls also. Classic Boondocking conditions here, no water, toilets, trash, tables or designated sites. BLM has marked some areas with no camping signs.
