Free dispersed camping sits just off the Thompson Springs exit on I-70, roughly 0.2 miles south of the interchange on an old asphalt road. The area appears to have served as a highway materials depot at some point, leaving behind a large gravel and asphalt lot with room for vans and small campers. No shade, no water, no power. Cell signal is reliable here, and fuel is available at the exit. Tent camping is difficult given the hard, compacted surface. Thompson Canyon is a few miles north for campers wanting a more developed setting.
