Bauers Canyon Ranch RV Park

Bauers Canyon Ranch RV Park operates seasonally from March through November in a small valley just off Highway 89, accommodating RVs up to 65 feet with full hookups. The family-owned facility sits in a forested setting with both RV sites and a tent camping area located in an apple orchard. Sites include level grassy areas, and many feature individual shade trees.

The campground draws consistent praise for its shower facilities, which Lauren W. describes as having "fantastic water pressure and the water got as hot or as cold as you wanted." Each shower stall includes a locking door, changing area with hooks and seating, plus unlimited hot water. The WiFi signal reaches individual sites reliably, though cellular reception varies by carrier. Verizon users report adequate signal strength for calls and data.

RV sites provide electric, water, and sewer connections, while tent campers can set up in the grassy orchard section with access to the same bathroom and shower building. A coin-operated laundry facility operates on-site, and the campground includes a dump station for those needing it. The compact layout means sites sit relatively close together, though reviewers note this feels less crowded when occupancy runs low.

The location provides access to southern Utah's national parks, with Zion's east entrance about 20 minutes away and Bryce Canyon roughly 50 minutes by car. The small town of Glendale sits 1.5 miles north for basic supplies. Bramy S. calls it "an older place but perfect for what we needed." Wind can pick up at night due to the valley location. For a different experience, Zion Family Ranch RV Campground and Fishing Experience offers fishing opportunities nearby.

Directions

There are several ways to reach our park . . . but if you're driving an RV, we suggest a very specific west-to-east route to avoid frustrations. The elevation climbs and switch-backs of the road through Zion National Park will get you to us, but with a much higher degree of difficulty. So, RV owners, please follow these directions . . . From the West: Take I-15 to St. George, Utah. Continue past St. George to the HURRICANE EXIT. Head to Hurricane on Route 9, then follow ROUTE 59 through Hildale & Colorado City. The route will soon turn into ROUTE 389. Continue on until you've reached FREDONIA, ARIZONA. Once there, take ROUTE 89 NORTH up through Kanab, Mount Carmel Junction, Orderville, and right into GLENDALE. You'll find us easily on the left hand side of the road

Many visitors appreciated the clean facilities, level sites, and friendly staff at this older but well-maintained campground. Guests commonly noted the excellent value and strategic location between Zion and Bryce.

Small beautiful place

Quiet small town host was very helpful with directions to the 2 national parks. The fact that using the east entrance to Zion was a treat. We got to the visitor center and only saw 2 other cars. Pads were gravel but real grass between sites. Many sites have mature trees for shade which is unusual for this area

Bauers Canyon Ranch

This is a nice little spot between Zion and Bryce National Parks. The spots are a little tight but the grass and ground are well kept. There is laundry, bathrooms and they even offer fresh eggs!

Amazing Showers!

Smaller place that was easy to navigate. Car camped in the apple orchard tent section. Booked online around 5p. Couldn’t reach anyone on the phone afters hours to confirm, but arrived to see plenty of sites open. Not sure what would have happened if the tent section was full. Some of the best campground showers I’ve seen in a while. Fantastic water pressure and the water got as hot or as cold as you wanted. Each shower stall had a locking door, changing area with hooks and a chair for your items, and then the actual shower with a curtain. So spacious. The tent site was level and grassy. The sites were very close to each other but there were only two other people in that section when I stayed so we were spread out. Enjoyed this place after staying at the national park campgrounds in the area.

Convenient stop between Bryce and Zion

We needed a plug in for the cold night after visiting Bryce. This park is mostly self serve at this time of the season but the shower room was warm and relatively clean and the owner met us at the office to give us quarters for much needed laundry. Wifi at the site was handy. An older place but perfect for what we needed. It much around but there is a little town four miles down the road. They seem to be new to the online reservation service but calling was easy.

Affordable Full Hook Up

Full hookups, cheaper than the other RV sites in the area, and the owner let us check in prior to the check in time. Has full showers, trash, and is nearby plenty of gas and food stores. I would definitely stay here again.

Small, quiet and clean campground

Neselled in a small round valley just off Rt.89 pros: level site with decent hookups, awesome WiFi, very clean bathrooms and laundry room (inexpensive too). Even a small bit of grass and shade tree on site. Very reasonable. Only 20 min to Zion NP east gate. About 50 min to Bryce NP. 30 min to Kanab, which is quant little town with tons of history.

Cons: very small, which equates to fairly tight. No reception or cable. Overall a very positive experience and would recommend if in the area

Good Enough

We stayed here for 1 night in late February. Bathrooms and laundry room were old, outdated but clean with unlimited showers. WiFi was good. $40 a night for a spot with full hookups, convenient location between Bryce and Zion, but in the middle no where. Very windy at night.

Central between Zion and Bryce

Lovely family owned place in need of some TLC. It was centrally locates to Zion and Bryce but the campground needs upgrades. We were able to get Verizon signal and our Dish Network worked well here. Laundry was available and all need a good cleaning.
