Affordable Full Hook Up

Full hookups, cheaper than the other RV sites in the area, and the owner let us check in prior to the check in time. Has full showers, trash, and is nearby plenty of gas and food stores. I would definitely stay here again.

Easier Access to Sites

Easier access to sites than the South Klondike Rd if you’re pulling with low clearance vehicle. Camp fire rings are present. We stayed at the first site with a camp ring, only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the trash people leave behind- plenty of glass bottles and broken glass present. We picked some of it up so hopefully it won’t be bad for the next people! It is next to a busy road, but not too loud that we couldn’t sleep. I wasn’t worried about getting stuck despite impending rain. I would stay here again!

Fairly Rocky

It was fairly rocky getting in. My partner didn’t feel comfortable pulling in to the first campsite and the second campsite was too steep for our hitch/ travel trailer. We’re driving a smaller SUV (Rav4 Prime), but had we been driving a higher clearance vehicle, we definitely would’ve camped here. I think we could’ve made it, but I’ve also gotten us stuck so I don’t have much say in this matter.

Gravel Lot

Pros: Pretty flat wherever you park. Very close to Capitol Reef National Park.

Cons: Close to road so can be loud with traffic.

The Big Empty Lot

It’s the big empty lot next to the busy road. Watch out for the big sand pit towards the back. Apparently others have gotten stuck in it. Sand spurs are prevalent- so watch your pups!

Pros: Great if you’re stuck in a storm like us and need a place to sleep. Plus it’s free! Cell service for Verizon and AT&T are excellent here. Plus the view of the dam in the morning was nice to wake up to.

Cons: Not great if you are wanting seclusion and privacy. This location is quite loud at night with the traffic.

Hidden Gem!

Only $55 for a full hookup that’s a pull through. $50 for Good Sam Members. We came in too late to enjoy the comedy shows they have every first Saturday. If you happen to make it on time, “Carlinos” or the place the host it is in the North Tower. Go right at the main entrance. We missed it by wandering around the casino trying to find it. There are also amazing views at sunset and sunrise if you get to the lots closer to the end- which we didn’t. Great front desk staff! They also have routine patrol security.

Laundry: $2.00 for washing machines and $1.00 for dryers. Must be done by 10 pm with the last load starting at 8 pm.

Showers: $15/person- not included in RV fee

Dump station: $10- only from 9am- 5 pm, although each site has sewer hookups.

No wifi, but I’m not upset because the price was great and I had good cell coverage.
