    Excellent little big Park

The park is bigger than it seems and has amenities galore. The washer and dryers are fairly new and work very well no problems there's a workout room very clean showers and bathrooms. They're propane service is quick and decently priced. The people working there truly care about the campers. They cater to full-timers weekenders and seasonals even the overnight stay. I will definitely be staying here again if I'm ever in the area.

    Helpful stop with hookups

This was a nice spot for a night while doing a long drive. It is connected to a city park, with disc golf set up right near by. There are hookups at each parking spot as well as a water and dumping station. We didn’t use any of the amenities, just parked for the night, but the road near by wasn’t too loud and we felt comfortable :)

    Nice overnight stop

Good overnight stop for weary travelers. FREE! No hassle with permit, just parked and plugged in. #10 spot electric worked just fine. Had a picnic table, BBQ pit & trash can. Park was clean & quiet with the exception of vehicles driving thru park with loud bass music but that would not stop us from coming here again.

    Crosbyton City RV Park

    A place to lay over.

I may have just used that title, but I liked the spot. I stayed there two nights. The parking lot has sites with individual, free water, electricity, and sewer. The town is odd based on my experience. It is small and getting smaller and there is almost no morning activity. But it is interesting. Clearly agriculture and wind energy dominate the economy. I guess everyone is out in the field during the day. There is a hamburger stand in town, which is unremarkable, but not disappointing.

I enjoyed photographing the town with it's midwestern farm town look and century old buildings.

Absolut no problems with the site or the town. I enjoyed driving around the surrounding landscape for a couple of days.

    Great stay

Water, electric, sewer and level site for only a donation. 16 TV stations came in too. The pool is open and they have a refreshment center. I've paid $100 a night for a spot as good as this.

It’s free….. but seen better days

This is our 4th time here I believe over a 10 year time frame. This is 2024. The electrical has slowly deteriorated. Site 10 this time had serviceable electrical hook up but…. More later. Site 4 showed on my meter to be good but upon hookup had a faulty circuit so going without the ac this warm late May evening. Site 9&10 seemed ok. Got set up and then took stock of where we are and noted the dead elm tree overhanging the site. One of those limbs falling on you would ruin your day. Didn’t check the water or make use of the dump.

    Great little free rv campsite

Nice public park with about 9 sites, most have electric and water. Free to stay up to 4 nights! Clean, some traffic but not bad.

    Nice little park.

True all above. Decent place! Free with services. Amazing. Level enough. Expected way less. Been to Lions Parks before. Usually quite nice.

Nice for a quick stop through

We only stayed one night while on our way through the area but it was convenient for the use of bathrooms and shower. Has an indoor pool and little recreational center. There are things close by if you need a Walmart or quick bite.

    Quiet

Very quiet. Mostly long term rv’ ers. Looks like they have 1/2 dozen or so overnight pull through. Easy to get in and out. Costco, Cabelas, other retail, and restaurants across road in shopping center. Will stay here again when we have to come to Lubbock, TX.

In town so cell service with Tello for my iPad and ATT for my phone was very good.

    Forrest Park

If it’s for free, it’s for me

Lamesa…WOW! What a great thing they have going on with Forrest Park and their FREE rv parking/hookups. We were passing through and decided to stop here for the night. We couldn’t have made a better decision. There are no bells and whistles with this place but if you’re looking for a place to park comfortably for the night, this is it. There is a park with a playground and swings right across the road which was a huge bonus for us as we were traveling with kids. They do accept donations and reservations are not necessary. 4 days free, $20 each night after that. We only stayed one night. There is some traffic that passes on the road between the RV spots and the park but nothing that was bothersome throughout the night. We did not visit the restroom facility so I don’t have anything to review on that. For just a simple place to sleep, I highly recommend this stop!! And free?? Count me in!!

    Great stop over

I simply needed a safe place to stop for the night while traveling and this was perfect. The city actually provides water and electricity as well as a dump station. The only downfall is the proximity to the noisy road but it is much better than a Walmart parking lot.

    Loop Two Eight-nine RV Park

    Nice in town park

This park was right next to the interstate so it was a little noisy. They have full hook ups, a clean shower house, and laundry for $33 a night. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for an oasis but it was nice for a quick stay.

Clean, convenient place to stop for the night.

Clean place to stop for the night, while traveling through.  It was a good value in terms of price. Fairly quiet at night.

One item to consider is that the back side of the park, right off the main (busy) road, was not fenced.  So, it may be a consideration if you are traveling with kids, pets or by yourself.  Did feel safe, overall.

    Not too shabby

This is one of those great little RV parks offered by some small towns in Texas that are free (donations accepted). 12 spots, kinda level, a tad run down but it's in a good area. Can't beat it for an overnight while traveling across TX. We didn't use water or electricity because our fresh water tank and batteries are full so we really didn't need anything but a safe place to sleep for the night.

    Good for an overnighter.

Just add a few more details to what has been said before. It is free, but I gave a donation because I used the trash dumpster, water and electricity. I did find a few of the 30 amp outlets upside-down. Some of the electric boxes on one of the 4 pedestals were about to fall down (picture add). Two electric boxes per pedestal which means possibly 8 RVs, but only 4 water hook-ups. Didn't matter because we were the only ones there. I parked at the north end. Nothing is marked for the different spaces.

    Twin Pine RV Park

    Clean and Easy

The campground is right off Hwy 84 but the road noise is very minimal with more of a hum and lack of jake-braking. Some train noise in the distance, but during our week-long stay, we were never woken up by one. This is a quiet campground. The long term tenants live their daily lives and keep to themselves. The dog area is just a fenced in section up front. No poop bags, but there is a bucket for you to throw away your own. The sites are very large all with full hookup. If you are here during high winds, the interstate berm/overpass blocks much of it. Expect lots of dust, but no trash. They keep things picked up. Good for passing through or just staying outside of Lubbock.

If you have kids: You are close to the Lubbock Science Spectrum Museum which is part of the ASTC Passport Program. It is a great place to spend the day.

Just a Plain One Night Stopover

The owners here are very nice. They texted me that they had a concrete site open up, and would upgrade me to it at no cost if I wanted it.

The park is well lit, and has a mix of gravel and concrete sites. Most sites are pull through, including mine.

One thing I found odd is that they didn't have a bathroom on site, let alone showers. It's not a huge deal, but I prefer to use campground facilities as much as possible to cut down on tank dump time.

I would stay again if just passing through, probably not for longer term though.

*** WATCH THE ENTRY AND EXIT TO THE MAIN ROAD. THERE IS A VERY LARGE GRADE difference between the park and the road. I dragged the bumper on my 35' fifth wheel both times getting in and out. Be careful. ***
