Crosbyton City RV Park

This municipal campground operates year-round on a donation basis, providing full hookups for RVs up to 40 feet in a gravel parking area. Located in the small agricultural town of Crosbyton, the facility features four pedestals with water, electric, and sewer connections, though some electrical outlets may be positioned upside-down and certain boxes show wear.

The unpaved sites sit on uneven ground that varies in levelness across the lot. Campers report decent cell service and access to local television stations. The town maintains a quiet atmosphere during morning hours, with most activity centered around agriculture and wind energy operations. A hamburger stand provides the primary dining option within walking distance.

"Water, electric, sewer and level site for only a donation," notes Jeanne A.. The facility includes a donation box for voluntary contributions and provides access to trash disposal. Traffic noise from the adjacent road affects some sites. The surrounding area offers opportunities to photograph century-old buildings and farmland scenery typical of the Texas plains region.

Plan for basic amenities and bring a surge protector, as electrical systems show inconsistent maintenance across different pedestals.

Guests frequently mentioned the outstanding donation-based value with full hookups including water, electric, and sewer. Many visitors reported basic but functional dirt sites with mixed leveling. Some feedback indicated minor electrical maintenance issues.

Not bad but noisy

Lots of traffic and a rickety weather vane also adds to it.

A place to lay over.

I may have just used that title, but I liked the spot. I stayed there two nights. The parking lot has sites with individual, free water, electricity, and sewer. The town is odd based on my experience. It is small and getting smaller and there is almost no morning activity. But it is interesting. Clearly agriculture and wind energy dominate the economy. I guess everyone is out in the field during the day. There is a hamburger stand in town, which is unremarkable, but not disappointing.

I enjoyed photographing the town with it's midwestern farm town look and century old buildings.

Absolut no problems with the site or the town. I enjoyed driving around the surrounding landscape for a couple of days.

Great stay

Water, electric, sewer and level site for only a donation. 16 TV stations came in too. The pool is open and they have a refreshment center. I've paid $100 a night for a spot as good as this.

Nice little park.

True all above. Decent place! Free with services. Amazing. Level enough. Expected way less. Been to Lions Parks before. Usually quite nice.

Good for an overnighter.

Just add a few more details to what has been said before. It is free, but I gave a donation because I used the trash dumpster, water and electricity. I did find a few of the 30 amp outlets upside-down. Some of the electric boxes on one of the 4 pedestals were about to fall down (picture add). Two electric boxes per pedestal which means possibly 8 RVs, but only 4 water hook-ups. Didn't matter because we were the only ones there. I parked at the north end. Nothing is marked for the different spaces.

A parking lot with water & electric

First, it's free (well, there's a box for donations and we donated). I'm not complaining just giving you the facts. This is basically a dirt parking lot (not a very level one either) with hookups for water and electric. We didn't use the water hookup and we have a surge protector. The first spot we chose had an open ground. The electric in the spot next to it was good.

Only one other camper. Good spot for one night.
