The Retreat RV and Camping Resort

Trees shade most sites at The Retreat RV and Camping Resort, providing relief from Lubbock's summer heat in an area where forested camping options are limited. The campground features concrete pads and roads throughout, making setup straightforward for RVs of various sizes. Full hookups include electric, water, and sewer connections at each site.

The entrance off the highway presents a steep grade that can challenge longer rigs, though an alternate entrance operates during certain hours. Traffic noise from the nearby interstate reaches the eastern sections of the park, while sites deeper in the property experience less road sound. Treva describes it as a "new RV park nestled among the trees which is a rare find in this area."

Amenities include a swimming pool, laundry facilities, and a fitness room housed in the main lodge building. WiFi access works reliably in the lodge area but may be spotty at individual sites. The bathhouse facilities close at 9 PM, which some visitors find restrictive for evening arrivals. Pet owners will find the campground welcomes dogs throughout the property.

Campers can find campgrounds near Lubbock for those exploring the region's other camping options. The concrete patios and wide roads accommodate larger RVs, while the tree canopy provides a natural setting uncommon in this part of Texas.

Numerous guests pointed out excellent concrete sites and abundant amenities like pool, gym, and laundry facilities at reasonable prices. Road noise from nearby highways was a common concern, though most still found it worth returning to.

Very nice but lacking

We had to check in after hours and finding our spot was easy and the map helpful. The site is very nice and the camper spots that are covered have me jealous we are pulling a car trailer and opted for the pull through. The grounds are very clean and the bathhouse looked nice…….unfortunately with the time we pulled in all we were able to do was look at them. Once we went back to got our shower supplies they were closed. I understand quiet hours but I can’t understand why you would lock them up at 9 on a Saturday.

Also, the entrance from the hwy is pretty steep and it was impossible to not rub our trailer. (Per the info there is another entrance but it’s only available during certain hours)

Comfortable RV Park in Lubbock

The park has all the amenities you need for a pretty reasonable price. You can hear the sounds of the freeway from the east side of the park, but if you don’t mind that, it’s a pretty nice spot. Staff are helpful and friendly and the facilities are well maintained.

First time staying at an RV resort

Impressed by what this place had to offer! Nice pool area, laundry room, and decent little gym. The only downside is the location as far as pulling into the park itself is right off of an interstate and is a pretty tight turn off a somewhat busy road. All in all would stay again!

Very clean and safe!

We enjoyed our stay at the Retreat. The concrete pads made set up so nice and easy! The trees are so nice to find in Lubbock during the summer. The swimming pool looked so inviting, but our schedule didn’t allow our use. I could hear some traffic noise, but we are in a city. I had forgotten how nice it was to wake up to so many bird sounds! Overall I would recommend and we plan on staying there again!

Would not stay again for cockroaches, noise and mediocre amenities

This is NOT a resort or retreat! Yes the staff was nice(not helpful though) and the concrete pads, gym, laundry, and store are nice and the pool was clean. However, the Wifi only works in the lodge, cable cut, cockroaches in the water bay, pool not heated, no picnic benches, no showers& SUPER noisy from the road!
