Twin Pine RV Park

Right off Highway 84, Twin Pine RV Park provides full hookup sites that accommodate rigs up to 70 feet. The park sits directly adjacent to the highway, making access straightforward for large RVs but generating consistent road noise throughout the day and night.

Sites feature level gravel pads with full electric, water, and sewer connections, though shade remains limited across the property. Debbie J. notes the "bathhouse is super clean and so is laundry area." The park maintains a small fenced dog area near the entrance and offers both WiFi and cable TV, though over-the-air reception provides more than 60 clear channels according to multiple campers.

Long-term residents occupy several sites, but the park accommodates overnight travelers with spacious pull-through spots. Cell service runs strong for major carriers, and the interstate overpass helps block wind during storms. Dust accumulates regularly due to the open layout and highway proximity.

For those traveling between Lubbock and points east, Twin Pine serves as a convenient overnight stop with reliable utilities. Summer visitors should prepare for constant air conditioning use given the lack of natural shade across the property.

Many campers appreciated the well-maintained sites with full hookups and clean facilities at reasonable prices. Some visitors noted highway noise from the US-84 location, though most found it manageable and the park quiet overall.

Safe, clean park, friendly staff

Location is right off Hwy 84, Slaton, Texas, so traffic is loud. We reserved a spot and did not pay the 'confirm' fee to ensure that we got that spot (so, they reserved the right to change us). However, when we got there, the host offered us a better spot--yay. We had grass adjacent to us (other spots did not) and it was close to bathroom/shower (they were clean). Site was level, not shaded, no table. There were a number of long-term residents, park was clean, well-kept and otherwise peaceful (aside from hwy noise).

Clean and Easy

The campground is right off Hwy 84 but the road noise is very minimal with more of a hum and lack of jake-braking. Some train noise in the distance, but during our week-long stay, we were never woken up by one. This is a quiet campground. The long term tenants live their daily lives and keep to themselves. The dog area is just a fenced in section up front. No poop bags, but there is a bucket for you to throw away your own. The sites are very large all with full hookup. If you are here during high winds, the interstate berm/overpass blocks much of it. Expect lots of dust, but no trash. They keep things picked up. Good for passing through or just staying outside of Lubbock.

If you have kids: You are close to the Lubbock Science Spectrum Museum which is part of the ASTC Passport Program. It is a great place to spend the day.

Great Travel Stop

Stopped here for the night on the way to New Mexico. Right on highway 84. Road noise is not too bad. Bathhouse is super clean and so is laundry area. There is a small dog park. Have great Verizon and TMobile service. OTA channels are fantastic, with over 60 clear channels. Park also has cable but we didn’t need it. No shade at all so be prepared to run ac constantly in summer. Very low humidity though.

Very clean park

We were passing through and we needed a place for the night. We tried Twin Pine based on some reviews. It is exactly as advertised.

We found a well laid out rv park with plenty of room to maneuver in and out. Located right along US-84 it was very easy to access. This did lead to a bit of road noise but nothing that bothered us, particularly after dark when things died down.

Check in was easy and quick. It is easy to see the owners take pride in their park as everything was neat and orderly.

They can take any sized rig and the price is very reasonable. We would stay again if we were in the area.
