Nice park with lots of pretty birds.

Check in is easy, staff was polite. The sites are oozy and easy to back into. There are trails to the water, but my experience is fishing is much better from a boat rather than from shore. There are some beautiful birds here including the Green Jay. A lot of people put out bird feeders. But if you…

Very Clean!!

When you arrive, the KOA team member escorts you to your site. This eliminates someone being in your spot. The KOA offers free delivery of ice and bait and curbside trash pick up. I had a weird sound when turning on my propane. I called the office to see if by chance they knew what it could be.…

Nicely shaded place to stay

A quiet and not overly crowded RV park. The bathroom and shower facilities were very clean. The rec room is spacious.  Michelle was a friendly and helpful host. I would definitely stay again. Note: this is inland from Rockport beach, so there were plenty of mosquitoes in July. So, bring some bug…

Great location and worth the effort!

Maintained by Nueces County Coastal Parks. Smaller, 30-amp sites are closest to the beach and Bob Hall Pier. Just a short stroll to the beach over a sand berm. Pier was closed for maintenance during our stay. No issue with water or electric. Felt safe and secure with all-hour gate entry. Bathroom…

Lots of space

State park offers a lot of space. Full hookup sites available. Mosquitos were brutal, so take lots of mosquito repellent. We loved that you can rent kayaks and paddle boards for the lake and you can even buy firewood there.

Shelter Area Cabin 13 was awesome

Stayed here for a weekend with my family. So nice to have AC in the cabin with shade on the little patio area. I’m convinced site 13 is the best. Only con was that others were using it to get down to the lake so we had a few people walk right up next to the cabin with their fishing gear. Bathrooms…

Spacious sites but windy

The spacing is quite large. No issues with the full hook-ups. Roads have quite a few potholes, unfortunately. Wi-Fi was nearly unusable but T-Mobile 5G was over 200Mbps down and perfect for working remotely.

Clean but noisy

The camp area is very clean and organized. Is next to a busy road and we heard traffic all night.

BEST CAMPGROUND EVER

I had such an amazing experience when I went here last weekend. The park is lovely, very well maintenance. The staff were so friendly and genuinely cared about my family and made sure we had a great time. 10/10 would recommend.

Shelter from the Storm

We stayed here 2/13/21 to 2/18/21 during the Texas Extreme Cold and Snow event!

We had originally planned to go to Junction after our time in Lockhart State Park, but wanted to get further South away from the snow and cold. We easily switched our reservation to here although it was supposed to be…

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

Stayed 12/01/2020- 05/09/2021 the only amenities they offer is laundry and internet. The internet does not work one bit. And the laundry machines are constantly dirty due to the large amount of people staying there. The pest are ridiculous. Ant plies all around concrete slabs. The park is 90% full…

Loved it so much we extended our stay!

We had planned to spend 3 nights here at the beginning of a months-long road trip and loved it so much that we ended up staying 8 nights! Nice, long, level concrete pads, well-maintained hookups, good laundry facilities and rec hall. Super friendly and helpful staff and it's beautiful to boot. …

Nice campground, if a little odd

We were in site 23 for 3 days. The sites were level, but are oddly arranged in pairs, sharing a wide pad, with the utilities in the middle, which puts them on the wrong side for one of the RVs, though most RVs wouldn’t have an issue reaching them. It also puts that sites covered picnic table on the…
