    Amazing RV Resort

Royal Palms RV Resort is truly a hidden gem! From the moment you arrive, you can feel the sense of community and care that sets this park apart. The all-concrete roads and spacious pads make parking a breeze, and the beautifully maintained grounds create a peaceful, resort-like atmosphere. The amenities are top-notch - the resort-style pool is perfect for relaxing on warm days, the fitness center and game room offer great options for staying active, and the private bathrooms and laundry facilities are always clean and convenient. Plus, the ponds for catch-and-release fishing and acres of land to explore make it a perfect spot for nature lovers. The staff go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome and taken care of. Safety and community are clearly a priority here, and it shows. The gated entry, friendly neighbors, and regular events like pool parties, bingo nights, and holiday gatherings really make it feel like home. If you're looking for a quiet, secure, and beautifully maintained RV resort with a true sense of community, Royal Palms RV Resort is the place to be. I couldn't recommend it more!

    Multi week

We spent 17 nights in this campground. The campground was well maintained and quiet. I will say the water park area was not open for the season yet. The staff was friendly and attentive. I needed to extend my stay and it was no problem. There is grocery store nearby in Brookshire.

    Mid week camping

The pull through site was nice with plenty of shade. The site are far enough apart so you don’t feel you are in top of your neighbors. There was a fire ban at the time of our visit so we weren’t able to enjoy the fire pit. The near by visitor center was interesting.

Hidden Gem in the Texas Swamp

We stayed at spot 128 in the Burr Oak. It was very easy to back into, the site is super wide and full asphalt. Site was very level. Bathrooms were somewhat close, about 4 or 5 sites down with a shortcut through the woods. Not a lot of street lights throughout the campground made things nice and quiet at night. The site had good Verizon cell service, around 25-50 mbps. The Tmobile service was around the same. This place is very remote and the park itself is huge, we only stayed one night but it has a ton to offer! Overall the campground was clean, very quiet, with a ton of activities.

Awesome park with tons of activities!

Campsites are a little close together, but well equipped otherwise. Went for The water park, which is a blast, and campsites are within easy walking distance. There are a ton of other activities as well - putt-putt, laser tag, paddle boats, fishing, etc. also had curbside trash pickup which was nice.

Would have been nice if there were some incentives for the water park for campers - early entrance, or discount, but that would be the only thing I would add.

    spot

What a gem of a spot! With sprawling camping areas perfect for tents and RVs, it’s a peaceful retreat—most of the time! Just remember that it’s right next to a dirt bike track, so expect some revving excitement during the day. The bathroom situation? Well, let’s say the trusty portapotty does the job! My only little gripe? A papa's games louie dumpster would be a fantastic addition to our trashy treasures! Happy camping!

    wonderful

We stayed here for almost five weeks, and we had a wonderful time! A wonderful team and a multitude of wonderful amenities! There is not a lot of traffic or noise because there are a lot of full-time residents and friendly neighbors. The park was spotless, and it featured wide roads, concrete pads that were level, with complete connections. Pet-friendly; our two canine companions absolutely adored the dog wash station. Recommendation heartily! contexto

Nice, friendly, clean, and convenient campground will visit again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is peaceful and convenient. Our site was right in the stock pond. It seems the campground is mostly full time residents which isn’t bad. We wished there were more amenities as it’s a Holiday site. The pool was nice and the hot tub. Our kids were disappointed that there was no bounce pillow as it was damaged. We will still visit this location again when visiting friends. The staff was super friendly and very attentive.

    Interesting State Park Near Houston

We had no problem finding this interesting state park as our RV GPS took us right to the gate and we had been to this campground (CG) two years ago. This time, we knew better than to park at the office's stop sign to register, which is where most CGs have you stop when registering. There’s a sign that says not to park there but to pull forward. Last time we, didn't read the stop sign and got our butt chewed by a park ranger. As we are disabled veterans, we also got new Texas State Park passes, so we did not have to pay the additional$5 per person state park entry fee on top of the camping fee. You do not have to be a Texas resident but you need to be at least 60 percent service disabled. The same very nice and knowledgeable lady from last time checked us in and we proceeded to pull through site 17 with FHUs, but only 30 AMP. The utilities are placed centered on the site, which is nice. The water pressure here is on the low side at around 30-35 psi. The sites are nearby, but the spacious yard has a cement patio, picnic table, and fire pit. We had no problem getting our 40’ 5th wheel in the site but had to park our F450 at an angle in front of the rig. We got 2 bars on Verizon and were able to place our Starlink to get a shot of the northern sky. There are a lot of mature trees in this CG, so the satellite is going to depend on the site. As we checked in, we were told several trails had opened back up as the area was recovering from heavy rain and flooding. The golf course, now private, had opened back up as well, but there was still a lot of water on the course when we were there in February.

    Clean, quiet, and inviting

Wide roads to maneuver and large spaces made it easy to get in and get setup, no cars clogging the lanes.  Private rooms in the bathhouse let you feel comfortable and not like a locker room.

Everyone was so friendly and nice and the park feels like you are not in the city despite so close to everything.  At night the string lights overhead give a warm and comforting feeling to walk around and enjoy the cool evening air.

No trees or picnic tables at the sites, but, we had our own table and chairs to use.

    Highly recommend to all!

    Excellent price!

Every other campground in the Houston area seems to be $55+, but with AAA discount I only paid $45 here! They were very accommodating when I called and gave us an easy spot up front because we were arriving after 8pm. Level spot, no fuss. Quiet night. Only downside were the mosquitos. Bring repellant!
