Best RV Parks & Resorts near Pasadena, TX

Several RV parks surround Pasadena, Texas, offering convenient access to both Houston attractions and Galveston Bay. USA RV Resorts Marina Bay in Kemah features 200 full hookup sites with 30/50 amp service available year-round, concrete pads, and big rig friendly spaces. Space Center RV Park in League City provides 100 sites with full hookups including 50 amp service, while Bay RV Park in San Leon accommodates 144 RVs with both 30 and 50 amp electrical connections. Houston Med Center KOA Holiday delivers big rig friendly sites with full hookups and concrete pads for easy leveling. "Extremely nice RV park with large spaces and gravel parking area. Spaces are wide and have a picnic table on a concrete pad. Electric and water is separated, I hate it when water is on the electrical box!" noted one RV camper about a nearby park.

Most RV parks in the Pasadena area maintain gated access for security, with many offering on-site amenities like laundry facilities, swimming pools, and dog parks. Dump stations are available at USA RV Resorts Marina Bay, Space Center RV Park, and Jackie's Place RV Resort, though some parks like Bay RV Park lack this service. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during winter months when snowbirds fill many parks. The concrete pads at most locations eliminate leveling challenges, though some travelers report needing blocks at certain parks. Pet policies vary but most parks welcome dogs with designated exercise areas. Cell service and WiFi connectivity remain strong throughout the region, with several parks offering cable TV hookups. Propane is available at select locations, and proximity to shopping centers makes resupplying convenient for extended stays.

    Woodland Lakes RV Park

    Extremely Nice Park with Ducks!

Extremely nice RV park with large spaces and gravel parking area. Spaces are wide and have a picnic table on a concrete pad. Electric and water is separated, I hate it when water is on the electrical box! Internet speed is really good and they have cable TV hookups. Two laundry facilities, multiple dumpsters, kids play area, dog run, and multiple fishing ponds. There are a lot of long term patrons but still a good number of back in and pull through spots available for short-term. If you need to be in the north Houston area, definitely highly recommended.

    USA RV Resorts Marina Bay

    Central location in Kemah, TX

New, smaller park with all the amenities. Level concrete pads will accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. All are back in sites with sewer, city water, 20/30/50 amp power, cable TV, and WiFi included. There’s a nice club house for parties, laundry facilities, a pool next to the bayou, fishing and kayaking/canoeing in the bayou and a friendly staff that keeps the park clean and cared for.

    South Main RV Park

Good for proximity to NRG stadium

My husband and I came to the Houston rodeo and stayed here strictly for proximity to the stadium. The RV park did have a shuttle which was very nice to get us to and from. Most sites are large enough for big rigs, you do have to park on the gravel right in front of your rig which can be tight. Nice concrete pads at each site. Traffic can be loud and there are many full-time set ups here with permanent residents. Has a gate with a code so it did feel safe at night. Small dog park that could use some extra TLC. Laundry on premises, no play ground, good wifi and Verizon service.

    Stagecoach RV Park

Clean, well kept and friendly host.

This is more like a mobile home park for RV’s than a camping experience. Each space is a pull through that has a picnic table and full hookups including sewer. Most sites have trees. Most spaces are occupied by long term tenants as evidenced by skirting around the rigs. Evidently several children live here as well. There is a dedicated area to take dogs so they can do their business.
Quite a few speed bumps. No gates so anyone can enter/exit at will. Laundry room and bathrooms have locks. Bathrooms are clean and free hot water. Pool/hot tub were closed. I stayed 3 nights in April. It felt safe, so I’d stay here again. People said hello when walking and waved when they drove by.

Worst thing was the number of speed bumps…useful but not really RV friendly. I’ve added photos, and although I copied them from another source, they are valid photos of what I saw and experienced.

    Stella Mare RV Resort

Close to Galveston but still quiet

Month long stay, $730, water, 50 amp. End of October/beginning of November the park is booked out as well as during warmer months. Half of the facilities washers and dryers didn't work. Staff is great about communicating lawn days and other news for long term guests. Trash valet and 2 free parking spots. 2 dogs parks, one for large and another for smaller dogs.

    Southlake RV Resort

    Nice clean park

The park is VERY clean and also quiet! It’s close to everything so thats a major plus. However it does have A LOT of rules. Also, a lot of long term residents live here. The back in spots are a little tight so if you’re not great at backing in just get a pull through. The facilities are immaculate . It’s been worth the price so far.

Guide to Pasadena

RV campgrounds in Pasadena, Texas provide convenient access to both urban attractions and waterfront recreation along Galveston Bay. The area maintains mild winter temperatures averaging 50-65°F, making it popular for winter camping, while summer temperatures often exceed 90°F with high humidity. Most Pasadena area campgrounds experience peak occupancy from November through March when seasonal campers arrive from northern states.

What to do

Fishing at Galveston Bay: Just minutes from San Leon, Bay RV Park offers close proximity to fishing opportunities. The park is "just two blocks away from Galveston Bay" where anglers can catch speckled trout, redfish, and flounder.

Explore NASA: Space Center RV Park provides a strategic location for visiting Johnson Space Center. One camper noted, "We uber to NASA and it was so convenient. We also had a shipt delivery to us for groceries! I could stay there longer but the journey had to roll on!"

Visit Kemah Boardwalk: From USA RV Resorts Marina Bay, guests can easily access local entertainment. "The location in Kemah is walking distance to several good restaurants and musical entertainment. Across the street is Clear Lake Shores. A bayside community with boats. They also are big into golf carts. See the sunset over the bay. Kemah boardwalk is a short drive down the street."

What campers like

Large sites with concrete pads: Houston / Med Center KOA Holiday earns praise for its well-designed sites. According to reviews, the park features "great campground with wonderful staff who are very friendly. Full hookup, paved sites with heated saltwater pool and hot tub, workout facilities, clubhouse with games and puzzles."

Clean facilities: Jackie's Place RV Resort maintains high standards according to guests: "Pads are all cement with room to park next to your rig. All sites are back so use some spotters to get in safely. Beautiful pool, clean restrooms and showers. We've stayed at other campgrounds in the area for less money but none were as nice as this."

Security features: Many parks in the area offer gated entry for added safety. At Lakeview RV Resort, campers appreciate this feature: "Very safe gated community, quiet, staff was friendly and the camp site has many amenities in case you're staying longer like a gym and a pool! Everything is very well taken care of and organized."

What you should know

Highway noise varies by location: Some campgrounds experience traffic noise due to their proximity to major roads. A camper at Houston Med Center KOA Holiday noted, "This is a nice park practically in the middle of a freeway. No kidding, it's barely off of the off ramp."

Site selection matters: At USA RV Resorts Marina Bay, "Campground is divided into 3 sections divided by a fence. Adult only section. Park is well maintained and staff is friendly. 3 pools. Fishing dock. Lots of full timers here." Requesting specific areas can enhance your stay.

Navigation challenges: Several parks have tight entrances. One visitor to USA RV Resorts Marina Bay explained, "Getting there the first time is a tad shaky. As you pull in, natural inclination is to go to the right ... which is wrong. You have to go left to be able to hit the sites correctly."

Tips for camping with families

Look for designated family areas: Many RV campgrounds separate family and adult sections. At USA RV Resorts Marina Bay, they "have an adult pool and a family pool" though enforcement may vary.

Proximity to parks: Eagles Point RV and Camping offers natural recreation options. A visitor shared, "You can fish on the lake, hike through the land or just relax and enjoy the serenity. The bathroom was really clean and warm which was a super plus."

Enclosed dog parks: Pet-friendly amenities benefit family travelers. Bolivar Peninsula RV Park features "the biggest dog park in the area" according to one review, which mentioned "it was the only rv park with a big dog area our german shepherds could run energy off on."

Tips from RVers

Alternate transportation options: For medical visitors, Lakeview RV Resort offers "a shuttle to the hospitals" which can be valuable for those receiving treatment. The park is "close to the Texas Medical Center."

Internet connectivity solutions: Eric & Jay's RV Resort takes an unusual approach to Wi-Fi. One RVer explained, "They have a 'no wifi' slogan, and the campground wifi is rendered obsolete within the confines of your designated space, instead favoring a hard-wired ethernet connection to your router, which you will leave outside your trailer."

Propane services: While not all parks offer propane refills, availability varies seasonally. Jackie's Place RV Resort provides a general store for basic supplies, and many parks are "within a few minutes drive" of shopping options.
