Extremely nice RV park with large spaces and gravel parking area. Spaces are wide and have a picnic table on a concrete pad. Electric and water is separated, I hate it when water is on the electrical box! Internet speed is really good and they have cable TV hookups. Two laundry facilities, multiple dumpsters, kids play area, dog run, and multiple fishing ponds. There are a lot of long term patrons but still a good number of back in and pull through spots available for short-term. If you need to be in the north Houston area, definitely highly recommended.

We had to return our travel trailer to the dealership for some warranty work and wanted to have one last little getaway before handing it over. We opted to stay somewhere in the vicinity of the dealership, and this campground had an opening. So, we booked one of the last remaining sites and hit the road!
Located in a suburban area north of Houston, the campground was very easy to find. It was nestled among nice suburban homes but still close to the amenities of a suburban city. We arrived after the employees left the front desk, so they instructed us to pick up our materials at the front office. We immediately noticed how well maintained this campground was. We easily found Site 21, a standard back in site. The sites are all concrete and level with a yard of grass and full hookups, which we really appreciate. We were surprised that our site didn’t have a picnic table like we thought, but we probably could have called to request one (wasn’t a huge issue in this July Texas heat).
This campground is more like a residential area. We noticed that many vehicles were gone early on a weekday morning. Many of the “campers” had potted plants and other items that indicated they were long-term occupants. There were many rules for the campground such as no items allowed on the grass or under RVs and no trash cans at sites, but none of these were unreasonable. Staff was visible throughout the day, often maintaining the grounds and collecting trash at each site (trash collection is each morning). It was extremely quiet, clean, and manicured.
Would we visit this campground again? Yes, if we plan to visit the Houston area for business in the future. We prefer the forest and the solitude that it affords, but this is a nice place to stay if you have business in the area. Rayford Crossing has amenities that may appeal to families with children such as a playground, beautiful pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, horse shoes, and fishing. The nice paved roads and sites and the dog park were nice as well. Our only complaints would be the price and lack of privacy, but I guess that’s to be expected in an RV resort near a major US city like Houston. Basically, it served our purpose.

I called in for a camping spot late in the evening and the manager said No problem! This campground seems primarily set up for long term camper trailers. I was looking for a tent spot and arrived late in the evening. The host was very welcoming and let me park up near the bathroom. Since I was by myself it worked out great for me. If I'm in the area again, I will be coming back to the Jetstream RV Resort. We stayed here mid-September- December 2022 and the RV park was formerly known as Advanced RV Resort. There seems to be another Advanced and Jetstream RV Park in the area so make sure you are looking at the correct place. During my stay, the RV Park was going through a big remodel. For starters, it's tight getting into the RV Resort from the main road. You do not want traffic on your butt when you are trying to make the turn in from the road. Then when you get in, it's still tight until you make it to the office to check in. The front of the RV Park is by the toll road, and you can hear the traffic. We were in site 223 in the back, by the city park, and we could barely hear any vehicle noise. We couldn’t hear anything when our AC was running. The front and the back of the RV Park seem to be two different experiences. The area is relatively safe. There is a police officer or two, and a police dog, that live at the RV Park. There was one break-in that we heard about during our stay. The RV Park is off a service road so there isn't any foot traffic on the main road. The city park it cleared out and shut down by the police every night so there aren’t any people roaming around after dark. You can walk right out of the RV Park to the city park through a gate in the back corner. The city park has a 2 mile and 6+ mile walking path. It seems to be the only real place to get out and exercise in the area.
The RV Park staff is great, and the property is well taken care of. During the renovations, they are adding tiny homes, a community fire pit, golf putting green, hanging string lights, kids play area, a new dog washing station, gym, and a beer garden. All of this was in the works during our stay, so we didn’t get to see it completed before leaving. They also have onsite laundry with change machines, bathrooms, clubhouse, propane and pick up your garbage. You are allowed get mail delivered. During our stay, all mail and packages were delivered to the office since they were in the middle of renumbering all the sites. Normally, you go to the office to pick up USPS and all over deliveries go to your RV site. The office doesn’t tell you when mail arrives, you need to track your packages or go check the office.
If you don't have an EZ Pass or RV Toll Pass, you'll want one if you must drive during rush hour. The traffic is THICK and there were accidents almost every day on our way to and from work. The toll pass helped us make it to work on time instead of sitting in a daily traffic jam due to the most recent fender bender or rollover. There are plenty of stores to shop at and they are all very close. Walmart, HEB, Kroger, Sam's Club are all within a few miles. Plus, the area has pretty much every other chain store or restaurant you can think of.

It's incredible that I was born and raised in Houston and have lived here the past four years but haven't made it out to Brazos Bend State Park until now! A quick, 45 minute drive southwest will get you out of the concrete jungle that is the sprawling Space City metropolis and into one of the lushest, greenest parts of Texas. Brazos Bend is a "Nature Lover's Paradise" - there is abundant wildlife. There is great fishing, ample bird watching, and lots and lots of alligators (!). Lots of trails for walking, running, biking, and horseback riding. The George Observatory is a pretty amazing feature of this park (but only open Saturdays).
We arrived at Brazos Bend on a Friday afternoon and were able to walk-in no problem. Walk-in rate is $12/day + the daily park entrance fee ($5 for adults, free for kids). I have a Texas State Parks Pass so we didn't have to pay the entrance fees (saved us $40 for two nights of camping!). Additionally there were several other great options including: Full-Site RV hook-up ($25/night), Standard Camping ($20/night, incl. water & electricity), and 14 Cabins ($80-200/night but have everything you could ever need or want).
We did a lot of nature walks, game playing, and swimming during our two days at Brazos Bend State Park. Summer is probably not the best time to visit any park in Texas - its hot and muggy and the mosquitos are out in full force. Bring your DEET. Seriously. Despite that though, we were very pleasantly surprised by the amenities (swimming pool, screened in picnic tables, fire pits, and tent pads!)

As a Ranger for The Dyrt, I get products to test from time to time - this past weekend at Brazos Bend I tested out the Kameng Mid eVent Waterproof Hiking Boot by Mishmi Takin.
These boots have got it all.
First, these boots are hella comfortable! I was blown away how comfortable they were right out of the box. Over the years, I've owned many pairs of hiking boots and they all required a significant break-in period. Not these!
Second, they're waterproof AND breathable. Not water resistant, like actually water proof.
Third, the look great. All 3 color schemes are fantastic I had a tough time choosing between green, grey and orange.
Fourth, so lightweight. These only weigh 1.5lbs so even though they are boots, they won't weigh you down.
5/5 Would Recommend.

After reaching there I see their ground was green and was also providing free cable but we didn’t took that as our goal was to spend time with family. This is more like a mobile home park for RV’s than a camping experience. Each space is a pull through that has a picnic table and full hookups including sewer. Most sites have trees. Most spaces are occupied by long term tenants as evidenced by skirting around the rigs. Evidently several children live here as well. There is a dedicated area to take dogs so they can do their business.
Quite a few speed bumps. No gates so anyone can enter/exit at will. Laundry room and bathrooms have locks. Bathrooms are clean and free hot water. Pool/hot tub were closed. I stayed 3 nights in April.
It felt safe, so I’d stay here again. People said hello when walking and waved when they drove by.
Worst thing was the number of speed bumps…useful but not really RV friendly. I’ve added photos, and although I copied them from another source, they are valid photos of what I saw and experienced.

This campground is one of the nicest Thousand Trails Collection campgrounds we have ever stayed at! They have large FHU sites with 30/50amp and beautiful views! The park is currently being completely overhauled with new sites, hook-ups, roads, community center, offices and more. We can’t wait to come back and see it when it’s completed! 👍🏻😬 They have nice amenities such as mini golf, pool, boat launch, pickleball, basketball, trails, etc. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it if you are in the area.

I recently stayed at Highway 6 RV Resort and I have nothing to say about my experience other than good. The property managers, the administration had been incredibly hospitable and made sure that my continue to be was comfortable and pleasant. The caravan parks have been spacious and well maintained, and the facilities furnished were first-class. The sparkling pool used to be a great way to cool off on a hot day, and the laptop room and exercise equipment made it convenient to stay connected and lead an energetic lifestyle away from home. The location was also a big plus, thanks to easy access to everything Houston has to offer. The nearby West Oaks Mall and SugarLand Skeeters Stadium offered a variety of entertainment options, and the proximity to major highways made it easy to get around the city. Overall, I relatively recommend Highway 6 RV Resort and will definitely remain here again! Thanks to my company Andersen for a wonderful vacation, it was a great vacation with colleagues and we had a lot of fun!

This is a great campground with lots to do. It is awesome like geometry dash lite. We camped: the camp pitch was fairly level with electric hookup, water supply close to the tent and a fire pit for each pitch. There are also RV hookups as well. My kids totally enjoyed the laser tag, there is also a boating pond, fishing and live music on a Saturday night. The toilet block was the cleanest I have ever seen on a campsite- it was as clean as many hotels I have stayed in. One good advice for anyone staying in a campsite in Texas: compared to campsites in more temperate climes, Texas campsites are dusty and have as much dirt as grass on the pitches(and this site is no exception). Bring a tarp to put under your tent- it will be a lot easier to clean than the bottom of a sewn-in groundsheet when you get home.

The pool is small and not deep but is still enjoyable. Pretty lakes with fish. A shuttle to the hospitals. It’s right off the highway. Nothing within walking distance though except the convenience store.
ScoutYes, there's not a lot of spaces between spots like there are in most state parks, but the residents are quiet. We had space D25 which is on the outside of the big loop by the river and boat ramp. Lots of space on the door side to the next unit, and nature behind us.
When they talk about deer being everywhere, they ain't kidding. And watch where you walk in the grass, the deer left presents.
Very friendly staff, and the couple of other campers we talked to were very nice. Being a Thousand Trails property, there was no loud music or rowdy camps.
They have free WiFi. It's reception is spotty, sometimes great, sometimes bad. Supposed to be better up by the activity center.
AT&T reception is LTE and varies by location and time. I had 1 bar to 4 bars at the same spot throughout the day.

Very nice, secluded spot, located among very tall trees, which give off excellent shade. Actually very easy to find, and even easier to maneuver through. This is not your typical RV resort, meaning it is not a concrete jungle, and every amenity known to man. Besides, your camping (glamping), right?
You can buy a really nice bundle of firewood, and they supply the fire ring. You have a picnic bench right outside your RV too. As I stated before, I would have easily given Buck Acres 5 stars if they only had a dump station! It's coming! There is a trash receptacle on site.
In closing, if you're looking for a nice, clean, and quiet spot to pitch a tent of park your RV, I highly recommend Buck Acres!!

The park is VERY clean and also quiet! It’s close to everything so thats a major plus. However it does have A LOT of rules. Also, a lot of long term residents live here. The back in spots are a little tight so if you’re not great at backing in just get a pull through. The facilities are immaculate . It’s been worth the price so far.

Even though our reservation was last minute, the owners were super quick in getting back to us. The guy who met us at the camp was also very friendly and showed us to our spot. $35 for dry camping, but there’s was also a cool pavilion that we were allowed to use that has a power outlet where you can charge your phone. There’s also a barbecue pit and a fridge too.
There’s plenty of space for dispersed camping and the lake is magnificent.
There seemed to be some long term residents but they won’t bother you at all. Restroom and shower super clean.
T-mobile signal was also strong. Would stay here again!

GuideWe stayed here for a week in early March 2019. The park is a bit on the dumpy side. They have some full-time residents with a few questionable practices. To each their own, but it makes the campground look trashy in spots. However, the campground was very quiet and very cheap. Full-hookup with free 3 mbps Wifi (faster speeds are paid) and cable. It was $154 for the week. We didn’t try the cable since we were only there a week. We did not use the Wifi either as our internet hotpot connection with AT&T and Verizon was excellent. They also have a laundry room with machines that accept credit card. The manager, Donna, was very nice. She made sure we had what we needed and that we understood the rules of the park. It was around 40 minutes or so to the things we wanted to do in downtown Houston which was great. It met our expectations as a non-frill RV park. Overall, we would stay here again due to the cost and the easy access to downtown Houston.
