    Alamo Fiesta RV Resort

All the things, but kind of sad

Alamo Fiesta RV Resort has all the things you might be looking for for an overnight stop over. There is a pool, a store, laundry, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. A large percentage of the trailer spots seem to be occupied by long-term residents, who are friendly enough, but I felt self-conscious as a more prosperous vacationer. My parking spot was closer to Interstate 10, so there was highway noise. Ask if a space farther away from the highway is available when you check in.

    Tree Cabins RV Resort

A Spacious RV Park with ALL the Amenities

This quaint little RV park on the shores of the Llano River has a new name, Tree Cabins RV Resort, as they have little cabins around the perimeter in addition to RV spaces.  It's a pretty low key place, especially during the off-season.  The owners/managers are very responsive and helpful!

With just a few overnighters circling through the park, and a handful of seasonal residents this place served us well. Water, electricity, sewer, and strong-wifi were what we needed the weekend that we stayed as we needed to get some work done, do some online seminars, and there hadn't been much sun for our solar panel for about 4 days.  Decent price for all of the amenities provided, too!  And, we recharged before we left...always a plus!

While the many pull-through sites are a little stacked together, it’s not as close as some RV parks will push it. The bathroom amenities are very nice, clearly the work of someone whose been around the RV park world and wanted to rise above. The individual/ family bathrooms more closely resemble something you’d have in your house than in a campground. The facilities were very clean and well decorated, and the shower pressure/ temperature couldn’t be beat.

With a very short drive/walk to town for gas, groceries, etc. staying here makes a lot of sense, especially when the nearby Llano River State Park campground is full. The park offers lots of trails for hiking, biking, and birding.

    Great park with large sites!

Medina Lake Thousand Trails RV Park is an awesome campground with large sites and lot of nature! There are trees and shade and it is along Medina Lake shores. The lake was dried up during our stay, but it was still beautiful views all around. They have 30 & 50 amp hook-up sites. Not all have sewer connections, but there is a dump station on site. There are tent sites, also. There are lots of amenities such as a huge pool, playgrounds, dog runs, restrooms, laundry, trails, boat launch, community center, games, basketball, pickle ball, mini golf, and so much more! Fun for the whole family. This campground does have a lot of deer around. We really enjoyed this park and the smell of nature here.

    Kerrville-Schreiner Park

    Good county park

We stayed here for a week in March 2019. We were on #230 on the Mountain View Loop which is water/electric only. Keep in mind, all the sites on the even numbered side in that loop had hookups on the opposite side. Your options are either cross your hoses below your RV or have your door face the road. I think this is the only loop like that. Because there was no separator, you did feel like you were out in the road a bit while camping. The full-hookup sites had an area between the RV and the road to prevent this issue. I wouldn’t stay on that side of the loop again. The leveling was crazy too on that site (and sites nearby). Our tongue jack was out about as far as she can go, but we managed. The park itself is nice and quiet. We didn’t spend a ton of time exploring because we mainly used it as a stopping ground to explore Fredericksburg and the surrounding state parks. It’s about 45 mins to Fredericksburg and the RV parks there are much more expensive. The check-in office is on the opposite side of the street as Mountain View Loop and Deer Field Loop. You go over there to check-in and then come back. Not a big deal though. We did not have good cell phone service, but with the booster it was usable for the hotspot. The sites were a good distance apart from each other and you didn’t feel like you were on top of your neighbor. They also have a dump station. Overall, we would stay here again, but I would choose a spot on the other side of Mountain View Loop or pick a full hook-up site.

    Arch Ray on the River!

Our stay at this RV resort in Fredericksburg was nothing short of amazing! Under new management, the improvements are clear, and the staff is absolutely top-notch– friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. This resort is perfect for families, with plenty of space, clean facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the fantastic on-site restaurant and bar, where we enjoyed delicious meals and drinks. The barrel room was a unique touch, giving us a fun, upscale experience right on the property. The resort is spotless, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the grounds and facilities. Fredericksburg itself offers endless activities, from visiting local wineries to exploring the charming shops downtown. Whether you're looking to relax or find adventure, this RV resort is the ideal place to stay. We can't wait to come back and make more memories!

    Parkview Riverside RV Park

    Great park, but ...

Overall, this is the best RV park on the Frio River. I would give it 5 stars, however one negative with this park is the ground. It is made up of fine dirt and gravel that gets everywhere in your rig when it rains and with the morning dew. Simply taking my dog for a morning walk means I need to wash the mud off of her feet before taking her inside the rig. Some sites are paved and they do have one site, #17, that has a paved pavilion for a small up charge per day more than other river-front sites. The service is great and while there are no stores of any kind within 10 miles, they have a pretty well equipped store onsite with RV necessities, groceries, and now beer and wine. They have around 25 River front sites with a great view of the river. Garner State Park is directly across the River. We have been to this park 3 times and love kayaking here. It is very relaxing with stunning views of the oversized hills. If you do need to get groceries or gas, there is a gas station about 5 minutes from the park, and Leaky is only 10 miles away. There is an HEB about 30 miles south. The park also has a great view of Old Baldy, a large hill right across from the RV park. I recommend this park!

    Plenty of room

Stopped in at a last minute decision after seeing main street and wanted to visit area wineries.

43’ tag axle motorhome with 28’ trailer and they had a spot for us without unhooking.

Its nice to watch the planes takeoff and land right next to the RV park.

    Kerrville-Schreiner Park

Nice sites and park but some are too close to the road

They have many pull through sites with full hook-ups that are spacious and fairly spaced out. The park has river front, nice access to multiple trails including the paved river trail, and a big playground. Be careful where you book your site though, we selected one on a loop north of the road and it was so close to the road that the noise made it hard to hear each other when outside and the early morning traffic was not pleasant to wake up to.

Nice & quiet - pretty too

Breaking in our new TAB 400 and wanted to stay somewhat local first time out. This campground is primarily RV spots- full hookups and some tent and cabin areas along the Guadalupe. Pull through a and back ins. Very quiet and nice location just outside of town (Kerrville, TX- recommend the Rails Cafe if you get tired of camp cookin’)

Not much privacy between the spots so expect conversations with friendly and like-minded neighbors. Bath- showers - laundry available tho it’s a bit of a walk to get to from just sites. Kayak - paddle board rentals available too.

    Lots of attractions nearby

We stayed here two nights to enjoy Fredericksburg and some hiking.  The welcoming was hands off due to COVID and was taken very seriously.  The site as good and required no leveling.  Easy access with full hook ups and a pass through.  The dog park was good, but basic. Overall the park was quite and well maintained with nice landscaping.  The street view needs some help, but don't let it stop you from coming in!

The Enchanted Rock state park was out of openings (over night and day passes) and were not accepting drive ins for hiking, so plan ahead of you want visit.  The did offer other attractions that we took up (bat cave, cross mountain ... both short hikes, but interesting).  We visited the local fort and of course the town.

Will stay again if passing through and can't get in at the state park!  Thanks!

    Lady Bird Johnson RV Park

    Close to the fairgrounds

If you are looking for an RV park that is close to the fairgrounds for an event or close to the golf course this is a great location. It is clean with some shade trees available. Like most RV parks it is crammed in and the spots are very close together. It is within the Ladybird Johnson city park which is a plus for activities and a minus because it is very busy. This park is also directly next to the the county airport where small aircraft, private jets as well as helicopters are consistently flying in and out adding to the noise level. If you need to be close to the fair ground for an event this is perfect but if you don’t there are much better, quieter and less crowded RV park options in the area.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Guadalupe River

A great time for Kids and Adults

Came down to Jellystone with some friends for a few nights, and had a blast!

The camp looks great. Full hook ups, and even available cabins for non campers. There is so much to do, from the water park (which is awesome), to the Guadalupe River, to the karaoke at the bar, the booze cruise around the park, the play grounds, candy bar bingo, movie night, ect..ect.. ect!!

The river is very shallow, with pools scattered throughout. We walked out until we found a nice pool to sit in, and relax.

Everyone at the park was super friendly from the campers to the staff.

Be sure you rent a golf cart to get around, cause the park is pretty spread out, and you'll get around comfortably. Cant wait to go back!

Fairly New Park, More Amenities Coming Soon

This park has been open for just over a year. They are adding amenities, but for what is there right now, it was a bit pricey. Yes, I'm sure the pricing was upped due to Mardi Gras weekend. It will be nice when tables and grills/fire rings are added for each site, but right now, it's basic full-hookups and not much more.

    Check In: 3p Check Out: 12 p

    Length of Stay: 3 Nights

💲 Cost per night $59 (price will be $75/night for Mardi Gras weekend 2023)

    Discounts: Good Sam 10%

    📝 Site#38 Notes:

    • Water
    • Max amp: 50 Sewer
    • Wifi
    • Site Pad: level, gravel, long (it was a back-in site, but it's been upgraded and is super long pull-through)
    • Utilities were close to the front. Parked camper and pulled the truck behind it instead
    • Close to neighbors, but room enough for tables and such (if you brought them)
    • No privacy between sites

    👍🏻 Pros:

    • Overflow parking nearby if needed
    • Close to the river
    • Big area to walk dogs or kids to play by the river (watch for sticker burrs in some areas)

    👎🏻 Cons:

    • Front row closest to the road- a little road noise
    • No tables, fire rings or grills at campsites
    • No shade trees
    • No wind brake

    📝 Park Notes:

    • River access - but it's pretty low right now. Won't be kayaking or even tubing anytime soon
    • Some deer in the park
    • Cabins
    • Some large fire rings on the outskirts of park, but not at sites
    • 3 miles into Bandera - close but nice to get away during big event weekends
    • There was a food truck on site, but it wasn't open this weekend

    In process of being built:

    Great Hill Country Hangout

We stayed here for a week and did some motorcycle day trips. Good base of operations for hill country adventures. Staff here are very friendly. Super clean, well-laid out RV park. Combination of pull-through and back-in sites. All sites are concrete with decent room between rigs. Hook ups are in good condition. There’s a nice playground, putting green, a stream for catch and release fishing. Good cell and streaming speeds on Verizon and AT&T. Set in the middle of 100-year-old pecan trees and miniature horses in the pasture. I deducted 1 star due to some road noise - not super loud but definitely noticeable.

    Heritage Oaks RV Park

    Best RV park

We decided to stay here, in Heritage Oaks RV park for its proximity to Fredericksburg Texas, there’s plenty of wineries here and good restaurants, and a lot to see, this will be our home base to visit all the parks and wineries and falls, in the area. We just came back from Hamilton Pool reserve, One hour away. Beautiful natural pool. This RV park is great, you have your own storage and carport, very quiet not far from the city but far enough, the staff is super friendly and helpful, The only problem is we may not want to leave to continue our travels, just love this area and this park, in our case we are staying 30 days so we get the Internet and cable included,super-fast internet. The cable company supplies us with our own boxes. It was a fun first week so here are a few pictures.(looks like the location is off on the Map, this is beside Fredericksburg Texas.)

    Texas Hill Country Resort

    Great Biker Resort

2019 Ok, first the good. Large RV spots with full hookups. You won’t feel crowded when your parked beside your neighbor. The park has an awesome walking trail. If you want a good workout walk up to the Texas flag observation point. Folks mostly use the lower trail which is about half a mile trek. Up at the Flag you’ll see a beautiful scenic shot of the valley. The Wi-Fi was good at spot where we stayed, but there’s no phone service in the entire park. I understand that RVC Inc. bought the park a couple years ago. I noticed a few things already going downhill. for instance the Hot tub next to the pool is heated but no jets are working. I hope RVC Inc spends the money to fix this, otherwise it’s just a bathtub. They have a garden hose dribbling water into the hot tub 24/7. The Pool is not heated, so useless for winter Texans. but I’ll bet it’s just great in the summertime. See pics) Many of the lights on top of the electric posts were not working, so it’s dark out when you take your dog for that last walk before bedtime. They have a great Office/Store and a restaurant (closed during winter months) They have a pool and shuffleboard tables and outdoor dining tables. Great Biker stop to cool down with a cold one. RVC inc does require a background check ($40) for each person planning on an extended stay. We did a month

    Oakwood RV Resort

    Nice RV Park

This must be an older RV park because I have never seen site so small. The site we are parked in is long enough for our travel trailer. The truck is parked cross ways at the front of trailer and it partially in drive. The spaces are close together so the picnic table in the site next door had to be moved so the slides would go out. If some one parks on that side I am not sure what they will do with the table

The restrooms are very clean and nice showers. The park is really nice just the small spaces is the problem.
