LegendColonia Del Ray is a nice little park, nothing to fancy. We usually stay here when visiting family that lives in Flower Bluff. It is a very convenient location, about five minutes from an HEB and within thirty minutes of most of the Corpus Christi attractions. They have a lot of rental spots for such a small park, so there is not much room between you and your neighbors. If you going for a fun trip at the beach you wouldn’t be spending much time at your RV anyway.
The rate is forty bucks a night for an RV with free wi-fi and cable. The facilities are clean, but don’t expect much scenery. There are not many trees, but at least you can see the ocean. There are coin laundry machines, pool, playground, and a mini gated dog area. I believe they have rental cabins on one side of the park. It seems like locals use this park to post up their boats and RVs as well. You can make reservations online, and the owners of the place are very kind.
Flower Bluff is a great town with wonderful people. Make sure you check out some of the locally eateries. About two blocks from the park is a seafood restaurant located on the water with a huge deck. They have excellent food and it is in walking distance which is a plus! Also if you have kids take them to the U.S.S Lexington! It is so awesome and hands-on with airplanes on the top deck!

• No vegetation between sites= no privacy from neighbors
• Constant vehicle traffic through campground loop• Toilets were difficult to flush and clogged easily.
• Toilet/shower building interior walls crumbling exposing the structure

The staff is amazing—always helpful and welcoming—and the management company is doing a phenomenal job keeping everything running smoothly. We can’t wait to come back and make even more memories here!

TravelerLake Corpus Christie is a beautiful place where you can camp and enjoy water activities but if you enjoy hiking this is not the place. Unfortunately, it lacks hiking trails. There are plenty of spacious campsites next to the water where you can enjoy laying in a hammock, campfires, and grilling but lacks privacy. Catfish Cove offers water only sites but other areas offer water electricity, full hook-up sites, or enclosed shelters with AC. While we enjoyed camping here there is an over abundance of stickers that we had to continually pull out of the dogs paws.
TravelerCame across this place while camping at Goose Island State Park in Rockport. Julie is the owner and she is super nice and accommodating. Amenities are endless: laundry, shower, pool, electric hookup, full kitchen, fridge, hot tub, TV and lounge area and lots of shade. Lots of RV spots and a few places to set up tents. Usual rate is 25$ for RVs but Julie was so nice and allowed me to set up a tent and use the park for 15$ for the night. Highly recommend coming here and camping. Located right near town and 5 minutes from the water.
GuideWe enjoyed our one night at Corpus Christi State Park. As with other state parks, it's a bargain, especially with the State Parks Pass. We had a nice pull through site with a view of the lake and the marina. The covered picnic table was nice and we were able to use the grill to make a great dinner. The sunset was spectacular. We would return to this quiet and beautiful setting anytime.
RangerWhile the lake is beautiful,the park feels neglected. Our campsite #64 in the catfish cove campground was awful, not sure when they had last mowed, there were stickers/cockle burrs everywhere. We spent time pulling as many of those and high grass as we could,but still got them all in our shoes and socks. The shelter over the picnic table had many bird nests and the picnic table was nasty. The bathrooms were ok, the shower curtains had mold/mildew. We hiked the catfish point trail which had not been maintained. We went through the online process to rent a kayak, had some problems which were easily resolved.
LegendWe stayed the month of January. It is 55 and older park during the winter months. All concrete roads and sites. The sites are level and very close to each other. We could not put our awning out all the way. Very friendly staff. The only WiFi is at the clubhouse and is slow! You can wash your vehicle and camper at the site for $5-$10. Laundry room has several washers and dryers. Propane is available at the office. Our site was across from the Park Models where two different owners “yelled” at us when our dachshund walked on their small grass area!!!!!!! We will be somewhere different next winter. We love Rockport, Texas. Lots to do.
